The problem is the moms and the kids are secretly in competition for each other. It's everyman for himself. So every time Maddie gets a special part or an advantage which she's earned because she's a better dancer and a harder worker Kelly goes ballistic. It's just jealousy.

Its also unfair to say maddie deserves all special parts because she's a "better dancer" and a "harder worker". All of the girls worked so hard on the show and maddie was given extra privates. It starts with Abby describing the photo shoot that take place after this episode and what each child should be wearing and then the producers told her to ask if anyone wanted to replace Paige. None of the kids wanted to and Maddie wasn’t even forced to put up her hand. There was just silence and kids wondering who would say something. And so there is this big chat over Jill doing a solo or something. Then the producers film the same part with the same exact question this time having Abby make Maddie volunteer. Kelly gets upset, not because Maddie has been given a solo but because they reshot it to make it seem like Maddie volunteered for tv and got mad at the producers. She then screamed the bit which actually went “the day of the god damn recital” and Abby kicked her out.
