In my younger days (I'm 79) we would have called this a clothes pin apron, used for holding all the clothes pins to hang our wet clothes outside. So glad thats a thing of the past, especially in our cold northern winters when the clothes froze as we hung them ... along with our fingers! The big advantage was the clothes smelled so fresh and good!
@@donnainmt I am 77 and yes I had one of those clothes pegs aprons. Disposable diapers were just starting to be popular but so expensive so my kids had the regular cloth diapers and yes they smelled so good coming in from the fresh air. In the winter months here in BC Canada it was too wet to hang clothes outside so my hubbie installed a clothes line in the basement. White flags everywhere. Haha. Memories!!
This is the simplest process I’ve ever seen. The way the straps are done make it easily adjustable for anyone. That is a plus for those who sew to sell.
I do not know if the person that's doing these instructions is going to see this comment. You, or she is a wonderful, great, instructor, or teacher on how to make a item. Or making the apron you are great at explaining and showing step-by-step. I do wish more people would explain and show the way that you have just done on making this apron. Thank You So Much! 👍👍👍 🥰 🐾
I want to say thank you for sharing this project! You are a@ great teacher! I'm not an absolute begginer but not a professional, but your explanations are very clear for me and make me feel like "ok, that's easy" 😊 All the best and Good bless you! I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil😮.
19:50 loved your tutorial. You explained so well and easy to make. Going shopping tomorrow for Christmas material. Oh wait, I have a stash already lol. Doesn’t hurt to have more.
The EASY adjustability of the neck placement is so clever. Been looking for this kind of solution for a long time. Thank you for sharing, for excellent demo.
1st I am NOT a sewer… sewist… 🤔 I can’t sew, but I watched you make this and decided I could give it a try and ILOVE my apron. Thank you for the clear directions.
I made two like this for my daughter using drapery fabric several years ago. She stands four and ahalf feet tall. Mom all the aprons tangle around my knees. It is so frustrating. She chose to have hers lined with painters drop cloth(hubby is a painter added that for fun). She wants to have some more made as they have worn out after 10-12yrs. She just loves them. She is scouring the thrift shops for ends of the rolls. Thank you for a delightful reminder as to how to do this. I might have to make some smaller ones for the great grandkids. I'd rather be sewing than doing house work. ThkU.
Oh yes I would absolutely prefer to sew than clean house. Now I do prefer people stay out of my kitchen. My sewing room and kitchen are off limits. Go use the kitchen in the guest area.😊
Dang it all! I worked my rear end off making quilt tops for the 4 girls in my family, sent them off to be quilted, and put my sewing machine AWAY! Thinking surely I am DONE! with sewing. Then along pops up your easy to follow video for aprons. 😆. Guess Im headed to the fabric store and pulling out my sweing machine! You made this look so easy! Thank you for that! Sewing is my winter hobby, but I was NOT gonna attempt another quilt. Im hoping to find more easy-peasy things to sew! Thank you for inspiring me to get back at it!
I appreciate the pattern, thank you. I need an apron so I will make this very soon. I like the simplicity of the pattern which does not. require an actual pattern and the economy of fabric use. It is also attractive and infinitely adaptable to different bodies. So great!
Wow! Never realized how simple this could be. I was looking to buy aprons for the servers for a wedding reception to match. The ladies are all different sizes. This will work and it won't take me long to make them. Thank you so much! Can't wait to try it.
What a neat apron! I’m going to pin this and make a Mama/Daughter pair for my granddaughters and a toddler size for my great granddaughters! It will be a perfect Mother’s Day gift!
I'm sorry, but I watched a few times and could never find the length of the strap. I see it was 3 - 2 inch strips but not the length. What is the length please
@remote1129 I believe it was towards the beginning but it’s also in the description. They are width of fabric. You can always cut them down at the end if they are too long for your liking. 😁
I’m going to a craft class tomorrow and they recommended wearing an apron. I didn’t have on……..I do now!,, The easiest loveliest apron I’ve ever made and demonstrated by a lady with the loveliest voice. Thank you so much. 14:19
Thank you for this demo. What a great apron and your directions are explained so clearly. Definitely going to make one for my daughter and teen granddaughter who love to cook together. Thank you👍🏻💕
Excellent apron! Instructions are very clear & so easy to make! I'd like to make some for our two great granddaughters and one for our great grandson. In kindergarten. And make one for myself!💕😊💕
WOW WOW WOW, I can not wait to try this! I cook all the time and love my aprons, but i am a larger lady and none fit right, they are just pretty. I think I can actually make this! Thank you! I'll have to pause your video about 100 times, but that's ok.
Great apron, so simple. I love to wear an apron when cooking (my mom and grandmother always did)😊 simple enough that I can have “seasonal” aprons. Than you.
Awesome!! You're a good teacher!! I bought a new sewing machine 3 years ago and it's still in the box!! I now want to get it open and use it. I love your apron!! God bless you and your channel!!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you want to get it out of the box now! I hope you do and I hope you have fun with it! Thanks again and God bless you as well! 😁

Great simple apron idea! Have you tried using bias tape makers for the straps? They come in sets from very small to very large. Once you pull the fabric thru, all you do is follow up with your iron and you are through. Very easy.
New sub here thank you for this pattern and THANK YOU for NOT playing music! I just can not watch videos with music. I will check out your other videos now. I will be making this for a friend.
First was santa claus fabric then she must have changed her mind but it was still Christmas fabric, if you read the writing on it there was deck the halls, holly jolly, merry and bright and several others...very cute. I would love to know where she got it.
Yes I made two and forgot to video part of the Santa heads one so finished videoing with the second one. I was making the Santa one for me and the other my daughter picked out the fabrics. They were for Christmas event. 😊
@karenwarvi5317 yes. It’s all Christmas fabric. In the description it tells why the fabric changed. I forgot to video part of the first apron so finished with the second set of apron fabrics.
Oh my. Good morning. So happy I came across your channel. Love this idea. Aprons is in my list for Christmas to do's. This will be my pattern to use. thank you. Blessings for a fabulous week🥰
Hahahaha yes. I put it in the description and the title to not confuse people. 😂 I forgot to video part so started back with my second set of fabrics for my second apron.
So happy I found your video!! I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched on this topic, so many I lost count…..I almost gave up on finding one I understood from beginning to end. So grateful to you for this amazing video!! Thank you so very much!!❤
I saw the apron all around with top straps and the side straps sewn in. I leave the bottom open for turning and when right side out I sew a very neat bottom hem. I create bib aprons another words the apron covers top to bottom.
That was a great and simple project to make. Thinking of making one to use in the garden as a tool holder or to gather produce. Thank you for the inspiration.
I have an apron very similar to this. It is my favorite. It fits perfect on anyone because of the straps. Great apron pattern to share. Nice presentation on how to make. Thank you❤😊🥰

Thank you for your sweet comment!
Thank you so much for sharing this cute little apron! I’m already thinking of sizing it down to make matching mother/daughter aprons !! ❤️
For kid size use a fat quarter and make it the same way
What age group would fit that ? It would be pretty small ! 😊
