A friend of mine in the South of France used to own a dark green 906. Right before he sold it we took it out in the French mountains and my god... What an insane experience! Very cool to see you focussing on these types of cars as well Sam.
Hats off to that guy who tried so hard to explain everything in english. Amazing effort and hospitality shown. Well done, Sam aswell. Congratilations to the productivity you show
That's a nice 22 minute break in my day! Keep it up, Sam. Hope to meet you somewhere during your travels, I'm based in the Netherlands. Excited to see what you have planned for this country.
Your photography, cinematics, personality are fantastic, one of the few youtubers that can make 20 minute videos that are entertaining all the way through
I'm sure glad there's someone out there traveling across the world and sharing all their magical car experiences every step of the way for people like me! The editing, scenery, drives, b-roll.. it adds up into such a wonderful time of me daydreaming about doing something similar some day.. Thank you Sam! Sending Peace & Love from Missouri, USA -Todd
Sam, Im enjoying this series so much. Thanks a lot for all the work you are putting into this trip. This episode is special to me because the part of Spain you have been enjoying so much is Navarra, where I live. And yes, as you have experienced, we have many many beautiful places, and roads, to enjoy. Hope you enjoy the rest of the trip as much, if not more.
Honestly that simple drive through the twisty road was way more entertaining than any of those collector garages. This is what I expected from DRIVE the world.
Exciting times ahead Sam, Europe tour vibe :) The POV shot on the spanish roads was awesome. I'm sure many of us are going to embark on a tour of our own now because of you.
Been really enjoying the trip videos so far Sam. Some places like South Africa have surprised me as I was not aware the car culture was so strong there. Other places like New Zealand have amazed me because of the scenery as well. However, summer in Europe driving around is going to be awesome... Simon, what a guy. One of my favourite parts of this trip is the people like him you are meeting along the way! Still got the US to go aswell! Looking forwards to catching up on the rest of the vids on here and the members area :)
When you come to the US you need to go to North Carolina and drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. Epic views of the Smokey Mountains. See for miles and miles kind of views. Quaint towns to see also. Get some taste of the south to round out your US experience. Awesome content Sam
Loving following Drive the World, even popped into Lorbek cars in Melbourne after seeing them on the channel...had to leave before I bought a car but lost a wife!!!
Loving the content on this journey man. Such a refreshing change from all the standard vlogs you see on YT. We all appreciate the effort you put into these #DriveTheWorld videos!
Awesome video! amazing quality! thank you very much!!! definetly worth the sub! could you please let me know what song is playing at 8:29 please? much appreciated
Sam, one thing that will always make the 911R special and in my opinion better then the GT3 Touring is that it could be ordered with a single mass flywheel on the engine. It makes that unmistakable racing car vibration and the revs spin up faster. The new engine on the new GT3 Touring comes with a double mass flywheel and there isn't the option of a single mass. BIG DIFFERENCE. Loving the Porsche contente by the way !!!!!!
Owning a French car, I've always wondered how Parisian's acquired their passion for cars and driving. Does it grow from their trees? or from drinking their wine? Thanks Sam for showing me a real Parisian car nut and some of the absolutely epic driving roads they have up in their Pyrenees/Spanish Pyrenees! I'm guessing our good friend Johan Sorensen musn't be a fan of Parisian car culture lol!
Great vid Sam. However if I may, you said that the Touring is probably better than the R. I think they are very different as the R was based on the RS whereas the Touring is "simply" the GT3. Keep up the great work, am enjoying the vids a lot!
You missed "Pau" near Biarritz, where the first "Grand Prix" of motorsport history has been raced. The Grand Tour did a very cool sequence in the Season 2 with a Aston Martin and a Jaguar. Cool video by the way Sam!
Happy to see you in my home country Spain! Roads are infinitely much smoother and wider than British B-Roads. You will also discover that most motorways are pretty empty. Enjoy! :)
Truly have 100% converted to a Porsche Channel.. It's fine .. I still love the channel you've just said multiple times that you don't want to be a Porsche only Channel 😆
Hey Sam glad you like the Spainsh Roads make sure when you go to Portugal on your way from Lisbon to Algarve pass though Alferce and Monchique its a mountain´ish type of road and i´m sure you will enjoy quite a fair bit with the Turbo S ;)
Hats off Sam the content has been great on this journey and you really are living the dream touring the world focused around cars!
thedownshiftchannel agreed it’s the car guy dream
"Vicki, hold onto your vomit" should be a STG t-shirt
I would definitely pay for that.
Hahahaha that would be great 😂😂
My apologies to Vicki if I misspelled her name :)
12799MaDeuce reminds me of a line from the movie The Rocker with Rainn Wilson, ’Some people carry a rabbit’s foot, I like to rock a pocket of puke.’
This dude with the garage seems so passionate! Total petrolhead. And a very nice dude. Awesome

Loving this years content, perfect mix, so happy you are taking us along for the ride
Another great video, what a cool guy Simon is. It’s been great to see all the awesome cars & people you’ve seen on your travels so far.
Honestly that simple drive through the twisty road was way more entertaining than any of those collector garages. This is what I expected from DRIVE the world.
This has been the most enjoyable youtube series I've ever had the opportunity to follow along with. Keep up the fantastic work!

You found the AE86 exactly where it belongs, a mountain pass.

I drove the Blue Ridge Parkway last summer in a rented mustang! It was incredible, such amazing views. I’m a Scot and it reminded me of home :D
Mi. 4:56: "It would be amazing to hear it" and then the music is on, thank you!

We found the exact same thing with the mountain roads between France and Spain back in 1986!
You missed "Pau" near Biarritz, where the first "Grand Prix" of motorsport history has been raced. The Grand Tour did a very cool sequence in the Season 2 with a Aston Martin and a Jaguar. Cool video by the way Sam!
