    I loved this intro! Sometimes it's hard to find true honesty on RUclips and I'm so happy you opened up about that!!! PS- I thought you were gonna explain your theory on the show scandal or something but this was good too. Lmao

    As a presenter for Younique, I apologize for the actions of those presenters. It's extremely unprofessional and just downright wrong. It's people like them that give such a bad reputation for the company and I feel embarrassed for what they did. Thank you for giving an honest review of the product. You have been one of my favorite beauty gurus for years now and I'm sorry for what you went through. I promise you that not all presenters are like that and again I apologize for their wrongdoings.
    Much love! Xoxo

      +Amie Gie it's the least I can do! At the end of the day, what they did was wrong and I don't want their actions to affect how people perceive Younique. Unfortunately it already has, so all I can do is voice my opinion about the matter and try to make things somewhat right.

      +Kimmie Cenzon I was going to say the same thing! I'm a brand new presenter and I feel terribly bad that she had that experience with younique.
      On that note I'd like to know who she bought from that it was $55 USD and $15 for shipping! It is only $39 dollars and shipping is $5.50...am I wrong?

    by the way it IS illegal for them to use your image without an actual review... its like you taking pictures with a diet pill and the company steals your image and prints you love it... you should ask them to remove your image associating you with the product

    • @DawgsRQt
      @DawgsRQt 9 лет назад +24

      Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Like I'm pretty sure it's illegal to use someone's pictures without their permission and then it's even more illegal to change the original intent or message of whatever they posted.

      Except social media platforms such as Facebook have teams of clever lawyers make it so if you ever upload photos onto your profile they can use them, sell them and reproduce them as much as they want (it's written in the T&C when you first sign up to Facebook). I'm not sure what the rule is with snapchat but it wouldn't surprise me if it is set up the same way.

      +Kyah Carter-Jones I have a question about some of the younique foundations. I see countless videos on Facebook of the foundation covering up sharpie now of course I am going to be completely skeptical especially since I have seen reviews from regular people and although they really liked the foundation and thought it had amazing coverage the coverage was no where near good enough to cover a sharpie so can it really do that or is it just some sales reps trying to get more sales?

    • @muabritt
      @muabritt 9 лет назад +1

      +Brittnee McCoy I believe it is just them trying to get more sales. I watched one where the girl first done it and it didn't cover then she was like "well you have to apply a little more and pat it on instead of swirl..." then i had a presenter actually tell me she stopped sharing those videos bc it doesn't really work like that & cover the way they say it does

    • @kyahjoy9266
      @kyahjoy9266 9 лет назад +6

      Honestly no its not going to cover a sharpie in my opinion. It's got nice coverage don't get me wrong but I personally don't like those videos. It will cover redness and blemishes but I still conceal too. I'm not sure why some presenters have the idea its a 100% full coverage foundation because it was only ever marketed as medium and build able. I have a video on my youtube channel applying it. No sharpies or liners involved. xx

    I can't bring myself to buy Younique products because most of the people I'm surrounded by that sell them are NOT very good at doing their makeup. I'm not saying all are bad- but from a girl that does "makeup" as a hobby and as a business, I just don't see anything professional with Younique at all. If you're not even relatively good at doing makeup, you're not going to sell it very well. (Or if you don't know how to use products correctly!) Just like how most beauty RUclipsrs that have HQ videos and cameras have a lot more subscribers than ones who don't.

      I can't speak for anyone else but I know that I am a regular person...I am a mom and a wife and a teacher and I work just like everyone else. You will never get a review from me that isn't honest, even from Younique. I have no doubt that there are many Y presenters that I would not buy from because of how they manage their businesses. But the truth is that those presenters don't define me or my business. It is disappointing that anyone would choose to avoid Younique products based on bad presenters. Truth is that you could be missing out on something you might love. But I really do understand being turned off by pushy presenters. Trust me, it drives me crazy!

You can buy YSL fusion ink for £31, Estée Lauder double wear for £30, and my hg Nars sheer glow for £31, so this reason I wouldn't even bother trying, if it was a decent brand it would sell itself without people all over Facebook saying it's the best thing ever! I ended up having to make a post on my Instagram asking younique reps to please stop posting on my photos and sending me DMs and that yes, I have tried your products and had a terrible reaction to both the mascara and foundation. I didn't like it as it's thick, oily and cakey and so easily transferable to clothes, your hands etc. It also gets disgustingly thicker the longer you have it. I had 2 bottles and both were gross after 2 and a half months. The 3D eyelashes get the same way but they dry out. will never buy their products again. Expensive for something that doesn't have a good shelf life. I paid 40 for the foundation and 35 for the lashes here in Canada. The hype wasn't worth it. I feel pretty silly for even jumping on that wagon. Not going to happen a second time.

    I absolutely HATE Younique, EVERYTHING about them. I will NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING from them ever again. Plus for $39 (USD) plus $5+ shipping, I MUCH rather buy Born This way, KVD Lock It or MUFE Ultra HD from Sephora. I get free Flash Shipping from Sephora so for basically $45 from Younique I can buy a high end foundation from Sephora.

    I jusst became a presenter today and I'm glad I watched this and read the comments. Now I understand how important it is to know when to stop, and I don't think I'll be so pushy!

    YOU GOOO, SHAN! What they did is a total absurd. I'm glad you exposed this. I hope the brand opens its eyes and realise what a shitty image they're giving. If they don't want you to review them negatively, maybe they should stop doing crap.

    Most Younique presenters make me irate. I actually wanted to try their eyeshadow and new bronzing products, but after being cold messaged, guilted, insultrd and harassed by so many presenters i've decided it is not worth it.
    Officially the company "discourages" these behaviors, but from what i hear, from former presenters, in the groups they join they discuss how to use these tactics better and be sneakier.
    The only MLM I will purchase from is Posh, but that's because they don't harass me, i have to seek them out and i'm a face care whore, even though i shouldn't be buying anymore face masks. lol

      Alexia Chavez and Alicia kellam you both are snakes for posting your link in her video... being another pushy representative... very rude. some people just didn't learn. did you not even watch her video. and if you did, you actually still feel comfortable posting on her website. if people want to buy this foundation they can find the link in her description box. your Rude and Just proved everything she said in her video... so crazy wow...

    I tried this and absolutely hated it. I made a post about how much I actually disliked it. A couple of Younique reps contacted me and were basically making suggestions/making me feel like I didn't know how to use it; I tried it multiple ways and it just wasn't working for me. I really wanted to like it, but it just was not right for me. It got stuck on my pimples that were dry, and it didn't cover the redness of my acne. Certainly was not able to be layered for coverage either. I was so disappointed.

    i'm a younique presenter but i still absolutely love you. i've always followed you for your awesome tutorials and your honesty. i understand that younique is not everyone's cup of tea,but i have alot of customers who love it, so i'm fine with that. i take this vid as constructive criticism, so i can better explain to my customers the pros and cons when trying our products. i joined younique for extra income while i'm a stay at home mum, but i'm not pushy for sales as i too hate being forced into buying something. thanx again for your honesty and i'm so sorry for your bad experience. keep doing what you're doing and i'll always follow you 😙😙😙

    I think it's sad you feel the need to include a disclaimer about haters from the brand. Kind of shows what type of people generally work for them. Those are unethical business practices and they cannot use your image without your permission.

    Everyone will always have something negative to say even if you're trying to be honest and it's sad but I deeply admire your truth and it makes me trust in your channel so thank you for being real!😊❤️

    What they've done is illegal. It's slander to say that someone has said something they haven't and also they have posted the photo without your approval. I'm sorry you went through this frustrating time but thankyou for explaining as it as I now believe that you are a 1000% trustworthy and honest person. Not that I didn't think that before cause I did but now I believe it evermore 💕xx

    I'm so glad to finally see someone who isn't a sales-rep for Younique do a review on this foundation because I honestly have been wanting to try it from all the hype I've heard about it. If you have the powder foundation I would like to see a review on that one to so I can get an honest review :)!
