Hi mate i have this same camera but it seems yo not hold charge. The battery discharger+ tester it came with showed 1 red light followed by 2 green? Do you know if i need a new battery for it?
I used this model a lot back in he 90's. The one annoying thing about it is that the auto-focus would quack like a duck, rather loudly, often overpowering the video's audio track.
@@nareyubr the early ones sadly had bad capacitors. The later ones from 1997 onwards are mostly all working. I have many and most from 1998 and all working like new 😊

nice video. i just got a hitachi (model: vm-e8e) that looks quite similar to this. i reckon it was a 1992 release as well.

Yes, for some reason most 8mm cams you find for sale are disfunctional. It looks like they malfunction easily.

this camcorder is compatible with oldschool retro CRT TV's
That camera only works in some countries.... if you want to connect it to a television. (system PAL)

I do not test it to connect to pc ant film video file, I men capturing video signal and audio.
