      1. He wants to leave because he’s developed as a man and a player and thinks it’s the best decision to make.
      2. He didn’t just all of a sudden Want to leave. It was something he had already thought about doing but he didn’t want to make it known since it would be a distraction to his teammates.

      Alec Ashby
      His explanation was too complicated for some I guess.
      He said he knew cleavland wasn't his long term destination. It came out of no where for him to leave because otherwise if he showed signs, it would be a distraction for the team and wouldn't allow him to give his all to his team during that run. He mentions he is 25 which is a crucial aspect to consider as he has grown as much as possible being number 2. Being number 1 would allow him to reach his full potiental. He mentions it might be selfish but he has to do what's best for him and his career.
      Why would you stunt your growth being a sidekick when you have the potiental to be one of the goats at scoring?

      Ya, because he didn't just experience 3 straight Finals & Championship. Because he is really the player that lead and carried for stretches. Your playing with a once a lifetime player, and your a great player in your own right, but not on his level. Sorry, but there was a guy named Dwayne Wade, in Mia, & was there well before LeBron came, most importantly he was already a Champion. He also had the resume of a proven Superstar, and well respected as the leader by everyone. Yet when he arrived, one of the first things Wade said publicly "This is your team, I'll do whatever I'm needed to do as long as were winning im happy". He welcomed LeBron to carry some of the weight from his shoulders because he knew what it takes to WIN and instead of being offended by him, he embraced him. Kyrie, at the end of the day, you have to be the man on a team, leader of it, and lead your team to places they could NEVER GET to without you.... Than complain, hate ECT, but until than play your role and you will be better in the end.

    Hes just basically saying that being in Cleveland and playing with Lebron James will stall your development as a player especially if youre a young player like he is. You will end up playing for one man's (Lebron) wishes. Kyrie has matured and he met his ceiling playing at Cleveland, now he wants to develop some more and be better but he will only achieve that if he go out of Cleveland and thats what he did. Smart move and being in Boston was a great result for Kyrie. Being in a team with very competitive system and a great coach and no diva to control the coach and everything in the team. I'm happy for Kyrie. Hope the Boston Celtics make it to the Finals this season.

      Pistol Pete Thats a pretty good explanation of the whole dilemma. Kyrie just basically feels like he can grow more as a player and as a man somewhere other than Cleveland because he reached that ceiling there. He is willing to take on the challenge of being a leader of a different squad and seeing where he can go with it.

Y'all want to hear him talk about some locker room incident between him and LeBron that drove him out of Cleveland rather than hear him talking about seeking growth as a man and as a player. Kyrie isn't gonna peddle some soap opera bullshit that sounds good as the headline for some click bait, he's gonna tell you straight up, and intelligently, why he left. Y'all just gotta keep up

    How does anyone not get this. Kyrie did not want to be overshadowed by lebron till he retired, but his team won a championship at that time he was having these thoughts. So he didn't want to leave cos his team might win again and him leaving could make a huge impact. So after that the cavs lost the championship, so kyrie is make the move so he can establish his own career and make a bigger name for himself. Timing is the key

    • @dhdgreat1760
      @dhdgreat1760 7 лет назад +5

      Thank you Mega!! Man its crazy how people don't see that's all it is. If there's any beef, it was maybe after the trade. Like you said, Kyrie don't want to be second, but they went to the finals so he sucked it up. Then the next year they won it all so again, he doesn't want to rock the boat. Now they lost again, so he figures now I should make the move. Maybe there's a little tiff about it now but really Kyrie never wanted to be number 2 from the beginning. That's all it is. Kyrie thinks now is the time. I don't like the fact that he wanted a trade because I hate how these guys were going nowhere before Lebron and then when Lebron takes them to the finals and now everyone's value is higher, these guys forget what Lebron has done for them. I hate that. But at the same time, If Kyrie wants to be the man somewhere else, then so be it. Anyway, its clear that the real problem was Kyrie never liked being number 2 and is now using his chance to make the move. And that's all it is.

    • @texasshaolin83
      @texasshaolin83 6 лет назад +2

      Agreed. Not only did they lose, but got nearly swept by the Warriors. KD was way better than Lebron in that finals. He knew Boston was going to be the best team in the East at some point given their talent and youth.

    I was tired of everything being centered around LeBron. I'm ready to play somewhere where "I" too have a voice and am not just seen as a "replaceable cog" as long as that team still has the "king"...
    Make your own "man" decisions kyrie. Cuz at the end of the day all of your critics do the same thing when it comes to their careers- I don't care if they're athletes, journalists, or a lawyer or a mechanic. Everybody looks out for themselves in the end. A life lived based on what others think about you is a wasted and miserable life, period.

    • @PapaMatt107
      @PapaMatt107 7 лет назад +6

      He choked 'cause aside from Lebron, nobody else actually competed against a well oiled machine like the Warriors, so they lose the finals? You actually forgot about him scoring 40 in game 4 to prevent a sweep.
      You're just hating on him now 'cause you're probably a Cavs fan and history tells us that you guys don't handle rejection and disappointments very well. Despite what you think, watch the finals again and tell me who among the Cavs other than Kyrie and Lebron who busted their asses to try and win it all. If you can't appreciate that kind of effort from your players, then it's no surprise they want to leave for somewhere else...

    • @PapaMatt107
      @PapaMatt107 7 лет назад +6

      and just to add. Kyrie average 29.4 points in the finals.
      Only Lebron and KD scored more. so again, if that was a choke job for you, at least you can't fault the guy for playing hard despite the fact that he already wanted to leave. again, can't blame a player for leaving a fanbase that has no appreciation for the work put in day in, day out....

    • @John-iu5nb
      @John-iu5nb 7 лет назад

      Matthew del Rosario I do appreciate the workload he carried. Without a doubt. I don't take anything away from him or his work, but how many points did he put up in game 2 and 5? That's a choke. You wanna talk about how you want to be the focal point of a team but you can't perform when it's needed the most

    • @PapaMatt107
      @PapaMatt107 7 лет назад +4

      you sound like you're putting all the blame on Kyrie for that Finals defeat and said you appreciate the "workload" he carried but still call him a choke job. sounds contradicting to me. he wanted to leave for a while now, so he did the next chance he got. no matter what his reasons for leaving, just appreciate the fact that he still busted his ass off and gave his best effort in playing when other players might have just coasted along their way to free agency. he's gone, so just move on from there. anyways, he's decision just made the eastern conference more interesting next season.

The only thing we knew for sure by the end of the interview was that he didn't like that Max called him a " Second class citizen". He was better off not coming on the show at all it made him come off as insincere.

      Ra Lo - so he should instead turn this into tmz/dr Phil session where he talks shit and blabs about what went on behind the scenes? The drama and beefs? He was more professional and focused on why he chose it instead of what other things in Cleveland may have made him leave. Wanting to see if he can progress more and possibly fail at it. I don't get what people want from him here because if he just came out with drama everyone would be on him for that.

    • @under-valued-talent5398
      @under-valued-talent5398 7 лет назад

      Alphenex what I'm saying has nothing to do with Dr. Phil, TMZ or Professionalism, what I said is I think he shouldn't of went on the show at all that's my opinion... This wasn't an NBA mandated interview, he called up Stephen A. and told him he wanted to come on the show and let the world know why he made a decision to leave the Cleveland organization. He knew he would be asked tough questions or maybe he thought because he went up on his own accord that he wouldn't be but he came across as insincere rather than honest. If you watched the Interview it was clear that he had know plans on answering any of their questions instead he wanted to "control the narrative" and speak on things that he wasn't be asked about. He turned simple questions into long drawn out "answers" on matters of life and maturity that had nothing to do with the questions he was being asked. He could of said I have know gripes with the organization or Lebron I just felt like it was time for a change he didn't even say that in a clear manner. He actually Slipped up at one point and said the move had to do with being comfortable and trust issues. than when he was asked about who he lost trust in...? He circled around that question when at that point it was clear he was talking about the Cavs and the fact that he was on trading block. Instead he went into another long story that has nothing to do with the question he was asked. I'm not a Cavs fan or some dude who feels like he "Betrayed LeBron" what I said was clear he should not have went on the show at all if he was just going to talk around any tough questions they had for him. I stand by what I said he didn't have to do the interview at all. This isn't about his intellect or his professionalism it's about how he came off and that was as someone who was insincere...

      Kobe is real and speaks his mind... this dude was in a little shell trynna sound smart and dance around questions. This interview was pointless cause he refused to keep it real... he's worse than KD actually... bitch made

      Victor Jennings Think of it this way... KD had never won a ring. He was desperate for a ring... Kyrie was on a championship team and now he just wants to act like him and lebron have real beef and he wanted out. At least KD kept his mouth shut. This man was speaking to everyone except his own teammates. He's a bitch. This man was mocking lebron with Steph curry. KD would never do that to Russ...
