Modded OTIS Traction Elevators-Cal Neva Parking Garage-Reno, NV

[Recorded 7-21-19] Just checking up on these elevators a year after the mod was completed. These are holding up pretty well. They're not vandalized very much. The difference a camera in the elevator makes! These used to be epic OTIS black buttons but they were so beat up it was time for them to go. This is just a simple newer OTIS mod. Very well done I must say.

Yeah, these needed the mod. The originals were cool but they were beat AND ran awfully for many years. I stayed in the Nevadan Tower many times and these were the closest (and easiest) way to the car from the room. I remember one trip the right car went to the top no matter what button was pushed so we'd wait for the left one. But the right one responded to down calls and went to one. They were just worn out and weren't taken care of. It's incredible they kept running year after year in such a sad state.

Was this private property before? is that why the city taped over the sign at the beginning. They need to clean up the doors they left the tape marks. I also like the chimes.
