After everything that's happened, I don't blame him for having burnout.

    Uhm I don't understand LZJ,
There have been a lot of players who had career ending injuries like ACL that caused them to be forced to quit playing, and that's because they don't have any other choice.
To him, he has all the resources, support and physical capacity to carry on, yet he chooses this path?
Like........ ummmmmmmmm. I just hate that kind of attitude.
He should retire then and never come back, he was never considered a top player anyway. He is full of arrogance.
He barely won any major title.
His AE win was a mere luck [yes. That time he beat Axelsen was a luck, as Axelsen that time was obviously tired and exhausted from all the tournament finals he has reached prior to AEOpen that very year].
Aside from that, he has never really won anything else 🤮

mate hes a great player, especially in 2021 i would consider him a top 3 player to be honest, watching that AE final many many times its still one of my favourite matches to this day and he was one of the only to step up to Axelsen throughout the year. This year has been quite miserable for him clearly, so ofc he would be upset and of course i agree about a mindset thing what you said is true, however you say hes full of arrogance, but i feel its not arrogance rather ego and pride of how far hes come as a player especially physically. And winning tourneys doesnt make you a top player, its consistency, which is why only now when there is a drop in form is he starting to become impatient and therefore take a deserved break

      @V_for_Vendetta_ Год назад +7

@reecepugh no. He is a mediocre player, even Chou Tien Chen who is pretty much old now is considered much much more of a "great" player.
In the men's division, LZJ is literally considered mediocre.
      All things considered,
      If Axelsen is A+,
Vitidsarn, Ginting, Naoroka would be A
Sen, LKY, Christie, CTC would be B+
The rest would be at tier B, in which LZJ would belong to.

@lucaslee4885 lol. I may not be joining international competition, but for someone who has never underwent training and coaching, I am proud to tell you that I play high quality badminton.
During my time in Singapore, I was able to meet and play against Malaysia state players and even beat some of them.
Like, I literally never had a training or coaching.
Also, badminton is NOT my career, so yeah,
I can proudly slap it to your face.
