But I can say for the most part the people are super friendly and you learn to work well together.

Literally mine is so understaffed like I feel like it's a good work day with 5 people working, and like he said when he worked there if u in backcash and know how u r gonna take both lanes, AND cash out orders

I absolutely agree that everyone should have to work in customer service at some point. Once you see how horrible customers can be; the anger, hostility, unreasonable demands, and general condensation - you know better than to ever act like that. You also understand the value of being a customer they actually want to help. It makes a difference.
Also - never go off on the drive-thru order taker. The person actually making your order can hear you and we stick up for each other.
cetkat I've never worked a service or retail job, but I get pretty pissed off when I read stories about rude customers. I just don't get why some people think it's ok to treat service employees like they're inferior to the customer. I suppose it has something to do with human psychology.
+MrRockIsAwesome i think it's just the fact that employees are SUPPOSED to be kind to the customer and please them because that is their job, but too many people take advantage of that. people give attitude, yell, and curse, knowing the employee can't do anything about it because then they'll get in trouble/lose their job.

The condensation was the worst. I hated how damp my clothes would be by the end of my shift. Humidity sucks
Worked in food service for too long but the McDonalds by me is ran and employed by slobs who constantly fuck up orders and the wait times are unreal for simple shit. I was told my order is being prepared "fresh" lmao it was chicken nuggets and fries. You drop that shit in the fryer and it takes maybe 5 min max but I waited 15+. Sometimes the workers are just as shitty as the customers.

My experience with McDonalds: I started at 16, worked there for around 6 months. They only scheduled me on weekends, which was fine. The teenager employees were fun to work with, we always did our job. The managers were absolutely horrible. They stood around and nodded you around. They yelled at you if you made one mistake, but didn’t train you how to it right. They would gossip about eachother, and not let you talk with the coworkers even for a second.
Maybe they were understaffed? You are really supposed to enjoy your job! You are being payed minimum wage. Remember work easy and fast just like your hamburger comes out!

This is exactly the same for me literally I started a month ago and I’ve been told multiple times that I’m doing things wrong on the first day too I just don’t get why they shout at you for making a mistake, fair enough if they are just trying to correct you and tell you what you should be doing if it came down to it but no need to get so angry

I & S Production’s when I worked at Target as a cashier... we had our cash register but... people sometimes give me cents AFTER I INPUTTED EVERYTHING INTO THE CASH REGISTER... and they be getting mad when I can’t math that fast when they threw me off my register game 😂

I started working at McDonald’s about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Making the food is really fun, assembling burgers is a blast, and the people I get to work with are really nice! And the best (and worst) part about it...my mom is the store manager.

Ya the other people who work there aren't as nice as they are in this video. If you stop doing dishes or whatever for 1 second to tie your shoe you will have 3 people yell GET TO WORK and threaten to fire you. And the franchise owners (MUY! Companies in my case) are all "our workplace culture is great". Like, do you even know what kind of methheads are running your store? People are literally managers for drug/beer money because welfare doesn't cover that enough.

I work at a McDonalds in Australia and whenever I go out to eat whether it’s going to a restaurant or getting take out i always make sure I’m extremely nice to the servers because the job can be stressful!! Also the drive through vs front counter thing! Very true! People are so much kinder when you’re talking face to face

The phone vs front desk is so true. It's always easier to help people when you're talking to them face to face and they're usually nicer. I work at a university and sometimes students get upset, sometimes it's a fault on our end, sometimes it's something on their end that has caused the situation, but it's usually easier to help them talking face to face. I don't know if it's because you are able to have a better conversation, if it's because you're now a person instead of just a voice over the phone or the fact that they've had to drive out to campus and had time to calm down. Probably all combined. But I love my students. 😊
