It's official, Cruise is back in the US and back on some dirt! It's a bit bittersweet though since sadly Thuong won't be appearing in many videos here on TWC for the next few months as we are waiting for her visa application still. We'll keep you guys updated as our situation changes and hope you enjoy seeing bits and pieces of our new home in the next upcoming videos.
I have the 2022 one and it is very fast mine was around 24 pound (size small) but I got it down to 22 pounds with tubeless tires and other things. And I’m very happy with the bike because I’m a XC bike racer and this is a perfect fit.
Congratulations on the bike. It was really an excellent price. I have the exact same model but from 2021. It's a very fast and responsive bike on the trails. You're going to love it.
The theory behind the torx bits (star bolt) is that the shape allows more area of contact and reduces the probability of stripping the head out. In my experience though, they're the same as hex heads haha replace them and like you said, one less tool to pack 😂. Congratulations on the new bike brother, nice rig
your Scott should have come with a thru axle (rear one) where it comes with a multi tool lever. It has both the t-25 and hex all in one. The tool is the thru axel lever. You pull it out as it's magnetically attached.
Closer finally to your first 100k subscribers.. congrats Cruise! And congrats for your new Scale, invest the money you saved with the deal in a good light wheels set...and finally enjoy it far from that awful vietnamise traffic (sorry for Thung saying this 😅)
Thanks! Getting closer to that goal 😂 Dare I say it, but I prefer the paved roads & traffic in Da Nang compared to Michigan. It is very nice to have the dirt roads and MTB trails here though
Sick dude. Years ago, as my first bike as an adult I got a fixie per your recommendation. Ive gone through a few phases by now and have made it all the way to xc. Sweet bike. Ive been eyeing the Team Marin 2 as an upgrade from my current xc bike. This scott scale is sweet though!
Nice color nice bike!im pleased you bought a mountain for your home state it should help with the u tubs coming I will tell co linh you are back in the USA awaiting Em Thuong her journey to the USA should and I believe will be highly viewed !I have of course been very pleased with the u tubs I am grading all in the A rating a A Plus recently I do miss Japan at times but viet nam is in my wheel house Michigan here we come great state !
Someone is really happy with that snazzy new mountain bike ! Plus, it was a great bargain, which feels even better ! I wonder why you dislike fitting a bell on the handlebar, since they are essential to warn people who have not heard you coming, especially dog walkers. I know in the US people mostly use cars, but surely there must be walkers down the mud trails ?!
@@TwoWheelCruise By the say, I sincerely hope that Thuong does get her visa asap, I am really concerned about the potential of a dangerous right wing anti- immigration government coming to power. Please NO !
Finally a proper bike again 😃 But the weight seems very high considering it's a carbon frame xc race bike. I assume by "starbolt" you mean Torx? Those are pretty common nowadays and most mini tools come with a T25. Your brake disc rotors most likely have torx screws as well.
Yeah, it was a bit heavier than I was expecting, but probably mostly the wheels. Should be a lot better once I upgrade those. I had to buy a "modern" multi tool to bring with this bike 😂
I was eyeing this bike for some time online US it was available on great discount!! But then size wanted got sold off Hope you enjoy the ride While Scott Scale has great geometry just not sure on the quality these are made in Cambodia not Taiwan But will be looking forward for your review against your old Alloy Scott Hardtail Between I am using Scott Alloy Hardtail for some time
I was debating going with a nice upgradeable aluminum bike, but the deal on this was too good to pass up. It looks like most sizes are out of stock now since I purchased mine 😢
Hey man - I like a bit of 'rise' on my bars. The Nukeproof Sam Hill riser bar gives me 38mm rise and 78cm wide. Will the brake hoses reach the higher bars ?? - thanks
Bike looks amazing what height are you? Size of frame? Im looking to purchase the Scott im 5ft 10 , or the trek procaliber 9.5 i have £2,000 new to xc but would like to compete in a few events great content as usual.
Hi your video about the scale it’s amazing.. but let’s get to business how was your first ride and how do you like the bike I’m thinking on ordering one but I want to hear your experience!!
Hello, I've just received my bike today (same model - same year), and I have a small question about the connection between fork and bike frame. I have a small 'wiggle' when I lift the front wheel from the ground and drop it back, the feel that movement it's happening all the time. Do you have any ideea why, and how can I fix this? Thank you in advance.
If MTB had bigger front cog something like 44 T, hard front fork, 1 cm narrower tires, and less weight, and narrower handlebars, they certainly would be more popular.
I’m partial to Trek, but that Scott looks like a solid deal. From what the video shows, the assembly looked straight forward. I like the tan sidewalls on the tires. That rear cog looks like a dinner plate! I like the color of the paint and the styling of the frame. I’m eager to see your next video reviewing the ride.
Yeah, the Procaliber is a story... I have Scott Scale carbon, but I recently have seen one Cannondale Lefty, not sure what exact model it was,but it looked so impressive...

Sick bike! I just got my Scott Scale 930 in white 1 month ago. That's a really good machine! Congratz !
Thanks! That one looked cool too
Excellent bike, very versatile, XC is the new gravel bike. Integrated headset is not difficult to mantain unless you an armchair mechanic lol.
Yeah, its a Scott 🤘🤘🤘! Welcome back to the Scott family.
😎
Welcome back to Michigan. 🎉HAPPY NEW BIKE 🚲 DAY!🎉
Thanks! 😁

Thanks! Got a lot more coming up soon too 😅
Nice bike, I also just bought a 940 on sale, similar to yours. Will follow your journey!
Nice, enjoy!
Now that’s a winner! Ride safe!
Welcome home! Nice bike. Hope Thuong can join you very soon! It will be quite an adventure for her.
Thanks! Hopefully not too much longer
Always caught my eye. One of my favorites. Love it bud
Heavier than I remembered
Yeah, a bit heavier than I was expecting, but some decent wheels should bring it down a lot

Awesome! That bike was near the top of my list too but couldn’t beat this deal since it was on sale
Congratulations Cruise!
Thank you!
nice bike! You're like me, I've been riding for a long time, but just now got into my first 29er, tubeless, through axle etc.
Nice! I still gotta get it setup tubeless
Cool, yes, Scott has some great hardtails
Nice bike Cruise and congrats! Liking the metallic paint job. If it's dropper post ready, you should think about investing in one too.
Thanks! Haven't tried those yet, but don't think I need them for the tame trails here
Amazing video. I’m looking for a ht mtb and really appreciate to watch it. Watching it in south Brazil
Thanks for watching!
Wow, nice new recording area!
😂 Still needs a lot of work, but getting there!
Nice bike Cruise and a fantastic bargain too.
Thanks! Yeah, it was a sweet deal
Beautiful bike, enjoy it!
Thank you!
Check your rear quick release handle if you want to undo your 'Star' bolts. The handle will pull out to give you a torx key.

Looks cool. 👍🏼
Hi, great video. Please could you do a follow up video of how it rides/a review? I’m thinking about buying it but hard to find any reviews. Thanks
Daym! That's sick.

I’ll either shift the gears so they hear the bike or say something.

Imagine having that HUGE cassette for pedalling up Hai Van pass!
Hai Van pass isn't that steep. Would be really nice up Monkey Mountain though
Nice ride, Im gonna have to see what they go for localy here (Canada)
Thats a nice deal. Setting up tubeless isn't too hard. Put in the effort to get a good tape job and the rest follows much easier.
Thanks for the tip. I've watched a few videos, doesn't look too difficult.

nice bike!
Nice ride, you will probably want a 34T front ring for better top speeds.
YES! I quickly learned that on my first ride, way under geared for here
The red bit on the front axle lever is just for transportation protection. Needs to be slid off. :)
Thanks for confirming! I thought it looked cool though 😅

@TwoWheelCruise what's the difference between the 930 model they appear similar thankyou.

I will be making a ride impression video soon!
What is your favorite water bottles for cycling?
No preference really, preferably a "free" one from an event 😂
Very nice bike. Have you or will you be doing a house tour in regards to the work you've done to it?
We’ll probably do a full tour once Thuong is over here. Bits and pieces in regular videos until then
Nice upgrade do you have wobbly tires on rear and front I just bought new Scott aspect 920 2022 and Kenda tires wobbles too much rims are straight.
Thanks! Maybe try taking off and putting back on the tires
@@TwoWheelCruise did that still nothing
How tall are you and what size from did you get? I'm in-between sizes and like you I'm unable to see one in person.
183cm, size large

Maybe check the stem cap bolt to make sure there is no play
before i remove the protective foams, i label it first so that when i sell it in the future i can pack it fast 😁😁😁
Good idea!
In the new house? US Based now? ❤️
Yep!
No.1 😁
MTB bikes aren’t in fashion nowadays. Nowadays road and gravel bikes rule the world.
I’ve noticed that, but not gonna stop me from enjoying some trails 😁
Not so in Europe, XC mountain biking is huge.

Depends on where you live
stem is dealbraker for me ...hope they will go back to frame ....really sad

My first tan walls on a MTB, but I must say they do look pretty nice, especially with this frame color
