My old man would take me and my younger brother fishing every chance we got. Fishing for Trout and Redfin in the dams and rivers around our way and then in the Summer months, to the beach chasing, Taylor, Herring, Sand Whiting, and the occasional K.G when we could grab them. Those were the truly happy days of my life and I miss the old bugger a great deal, but even though he's been gone for more than 13yrs now, his lessons still remain and both my brother and I still love to fish and have handed that down to our kids.

Hey robbie, two nice fish you caught there. Great to see you and your dad getting out on the water. I agree with you on the all year round cod fishing there, make it the same as places like Copeton. Copeton is me and my dads favorite place to fish for cod. 👍👍👍
Thanks heaps mate. They've opened Eildon, Copeton and Blowrring to year round fishing as natural Murray cod recruitment is minimal. I would love to see many more sto ked impoundments open up to give anglers a better return on their fishing licence investment.

Hi mate, it is very rare for cod and yellowbelly to spawn in lakes as they need flowing water for the babies to survive. They will still get eggs, build a nest and protect it etc... but without the flowing water delivering tiny microorganisms for the fry to eat, once they finish feeding on their egg sacks they usually die. Which makes me wonder why there is a closed Murray cod season in lakes. We can fish for trout in lakes because they don't spawn in lakes but we can't fish for cod in lakes during the closed season.
robbiefishing I am sooo happy for you your views are exploding I sooo proud of you I am happy lots of people enjoy the amazing content that I love everyday
