That is some amazing filming and video production!! Nice job! 👍Also I noticed from 0:34 to 0:35 you can actually see the brown going for the lure underwater. So cool to watch!
In the words of George Peppard: "I love it when a plan comes together"...Though I'm not sure what he'd say about the casts I dumped into the bushes hahaha
Thank you Darren - the quality of your rod certainly makes those casts possible with those 1.7-g Zoner Minnows; and it's a dream match for the Ambassadeur too.
@@FishingDiscoveries 🤣👍 I've just started fishing bfs for trout👍 I am still getting a lot of line tangles in the reel but getting there slowly 🤞hope you don't mind me asking what landing net is that .
@@benhurn5253 It's actually quite an old, unbranded "weigh net" I bought many years ago at the CLA Gamefair. The mesh is rubberised and helps avoid hooks embedding as well as being kind to the fish (low slime removal potential). The weighing balance is totally inaccurate though (and the mesh bag is not deep enough to hang down below the net to keep the fish safely inside). It makes a nice, flat on-stream net for wade-fishing though. Paul.
Amazing video, just a quick question about your attire. What do you have knee down? I’ve got a set of waders however they are quite cumbersome and you look like have the perfect attire to keep mobile.
Thanks for the kind feedback, I’m using the type of wet wading gear that Japanese anglers use for mountain streams. Quick drying leggings under quick dry shorts (e.g mountain bike shorts). On the feet are neoprene socks (kayaking ones are good) with “sawanobori” or “waterfall climbing” shoes. Good alternatives are made and sold by the 5.10 branch of adidas. The shin and knee gaiters are also used in sawanobori and the ones I have are made by “Waterclimb” in Japan. You can also find similar made by brands such as montbell, gamakatsu and Little Presents. It can be worth searching on the Japanese Amazon store or you can speak to keiichi at tenkaraya.com and he can get pretty much anything you need as a special order. Paul.
Florin - it's a custom build by Darren Keats. If you'd like to discuss your own, drop me an email on paulgaskellflyfishing@gmail.com and I'll introduce you to Darren via email so you can explore the kinds of thing you might like. Paul

That's really kind of you to say so - thank you! Paul.
Brilliant video as always just wish they were longer 😊👍
That's really kind of you to say Ben - especially in this era of the "5-second attention span" and video shorts/TikTok etc. Paul.
