I've got 2 weeks until the start of my new job and alot of extra time... to obtain all 18 Tera type mews through Mystery Gift. Something. I need to add, did not occur to me as something I could or would want to collect until you said something about it in this video. I hope work goes by easily and the stream tonight has all the luck!
Couple of things for anyone who might stumble upon this comment and be curious: 1. I have almost a full box of Mews now and am only missing 5 types. 2. If you want to attempt this I cannot recommend a turbo controller enough, spare your thumbs please. As well as turn off cutscenes. Saving yourself like 5-6 minutes per reset. View it like a 30 minute interactive reset hunt. 3. Surprisingly, starter pick seems to matter here. Fuecoco is almost consistently getting a two shot on Nemona and a 3 shot on Arven's stupid tanky squirrel. Quaxley almost always takes 4 moves to knock out the squirrel and Sprigatito takes 3-4 moves to knock out Nemona and I got distracted on it's run towards Arven and never picked it again. 4. And this is the most interesting in my opinion. I've so far only ever duped on Ghost type and Dark type Mew. Which makes me wonder if they, by default, have a higher "drop" chance due to them being more effective against the upcoming Mewtwo.

31:50 Hey Absol You dont have to play the first hour of Scarlet/Violet to get presents I have both games and i just defeated Arven (1st battle) in my second game and can get all events and pokemon feom codes
You need to go a little farther than that, you have to reach the point where nemona shows you what a pokemon center is then you have full access to mystery gifts. I just started violet on my second switch to get an extra mew and was able to access mystery gifts as soon as nemona finished her text about the pokemon center. Basically the same point in the game but best to be exact when dealing with people on the Internet.
