Somehow Marcus seems to mix blues with jazz, if that makes sense and Billy mixes everything with bluegrass. They’re both old souls. Billy’s voice is unexpected but amazing and Marcus’s is out of this world. They also happen to be 2 of the best guitarists alive and maybe ever. Also playing maybe a hundred grand + worth of guitars

That's from listening to Django Rinehardt. Many finger style, improvisational flat-pickers are heavily influenced by roots blues, "gypsy jazz" and bluegrass. Spin them in a blender and this is what you get. This is the kind of thing someone an orchestral player, classically trained, likes to play in their spare time.

Love the way they played off each other and kept out of the others way to let the other shine. Respect was shown by each for the other. The slight looks to each other to say “ok, your turn” made the song smooth with transitions back and forth so not making the song choppy. Good lesson to learn for us beginners to know how to jam with others.

That helps a lot. because when you're holding shapes with your fingers, it's often hard to tell which one is actually pressing down, even in slow motion.. but whn you rotate your hand out of the way-- that makes it so much easier to learn and visualize it. It’s amazing how two guitars are all you need. No need for base, drums and all that stuff… These guys fill the room by themselves!

Billy strings and Marcus King are hands down 2 of the best guitar players out there going right now. They’re pushing the rock country Bluegrass cover band and everything. These guys are top notch. It’s a shame they probably won’t get the airplay, respect and money they deserve because the big music money machine will keep them push down playing at small dive bars and places across the country instead of being on the radio for every person to enjoy. Thank God for RUclips and people enjoying good music and ability to find it, listen to it and share it with all the good people you know and even some people that aren’t good that you know they just might like good music.

Good to see this - already know the vid quite well...personally I think Billy’s voice here sounds a tiny bit better than Doc’s...exquisite playing and a good vid here as well...

Billy has said that he grew up listening to Doc and playing his tunes with his daddy, so you're right about him sounding like doc
