One of the coolest bits- the pilots that Julieta warns to get away when she tackles Barbatos are ALREADY DEAD! Mika killed them in the instant his tail was still in range.
No one ever points this out. They're already dead by the time she pushes him out of the way, she was too late to save them from that whiplash.
Holy fuck, I never noticed but that's insane. By the time she realized and reacted to what was going on, it was already done. Very satisfying to know that Mika took out as many enemies as inhumanly possible.
A further showcase at how utter pathethic Julieta is to Mika. She could never best him, she couldn't stop him from killing her men. Nothing she did *ever* mattered, she didn't even win the fact by skill, Mika bled out. A hollow victory, in fact she never beat ANYONE of note.
@@XenoJehuty84 Even when she had Mika dead in her sights Mika just IGNORED her and instead went after more of her men and killed them in an instant (unfortunately that scene is not here). Mika never treated her as a real opponent to begin with.
@@Athrun82 And it Really showcased too how much of a joke her faction was, this 'peak military force of peacekeepers', incapable to even present a show of force without underhanded betrayal. In the end they're only able to achieve victories if they just shoot you from behind.
Iok acted as if he's changed near the end only to show his true cowardly nature at the end. In the end, that's all he is. A coward. And he died crying like a coward, unlike the so called 'villains' he wanted to pass 'judgement' on.
I felt nothing but complete catharsis on Iok getting crushed like a sardine can
The thing is, Tekkadan were the villains. As bad as Gallagher were, they are still the world police and keep the peace. Tekkadan wanted to be ome the Kings of Mars and went about becoming a terrorist group under the wing of McGillis. If they had stuck to themselves on Mars and stayed with the Yakuza family instead of splitting off they wouldn't have became the villains of the story.
When they fought for their own goals and not being enticed by the goals of others, they were the heroes. Once they allowed others to lead them, they became the villains because their newfound path was that of a villain chosen by another.
Big fact he literally got alot of them killed cause he was lucky and he alway got beat by them multiple times and if he just stay off the field he wouldn't got killed but thank to him be cocky he thought he could finish one of them off but he ran into the one person he piss off the most and I love that scene
@@SoldierSpiderx Basically he wanted to be "the Hero" who dealt the final blow to "the Villain" by not doing anything himself and only coming out when he's certain he can win. Unfortunately, he underestimated his enemy.
@@RazielTheUnborn No, Tekkadan were only the 'villains' because the story's narrative clumisly push them into that strange Yakuza-esque story allegory that from what I recall the director was so keen on pushing into the story. Tekkadan were literally the bottom of the barrel trying to claw their way into normalcy and legitimacy in a world where the ruling powers pushed everyone not them, or their fellow 'haves' into the dirt. Yes, Tekkadan did questionable things, but their foes were clearly far worse. All they wanted was to reach the point they could stop fighting and not always have to look over their shoulders. Yes making the deal with Macgillis was a bad call on Orga's part; and while ol' Chocolate Man was clearly a damaged individual with morally dubious methods, he also wanted to destroy the corruption that created him and Tekkadan. Their wants are absolutely understandable, and while the means to get them, especially on MacGillis's part are questionable; their foes are far FAR worse and did not deserve the clean victory they got.
Tekkadan were basically slave child soldiers with nowhere to go; while Gallajorn were a centuries old ruling dynasty with its corrupt members actively fighting to keep things inequal and maintain their power base. Rustal's fleet ENGINEERED the Dort Massacare, and if not for Tekkadan and Kudellia, it would have ended worse than it did. MacGillis' adopted Father IS a pedophile who was engineering all the resistance Kudellia and Tekkadan went through in season one, just to consolidate more power.
While the downer ending is fine, I feel it would have been better if more than Idok died on Rustal's side, maybe leaving him alone to contemplate the sacrifices made, or better yet, Shino DID take Rustal out, and Gaelio did a mutual kill with MacGillis, leaving just Jullietta with a hollow victory she has no capacity to move beyond because of how 'basic' she is as just Rustal's sword. Another alt-ending idea I think would have fit, would be a guilt-ridden Gaelio turning them ALL in after the fact, given he once agreed with MacGillis that the Arianode Fleet's methods with Dort and other instances 'didn't sit well with him'. A nice cap off to the entire 'revenge solves nothing' theme.
I don't entirely disagree once MacGillis was guiding Tekkadan into his coup they threw their lot in with an actual devil, and thus, put themselves into the 'role of villain' once Rustal used his far better connections to paint them as such; but who among them first pulled out using ILLEGAL WEAPONS to discredit the other side?
So no, Tekkadan were ultimately more victims of the 'system' Gallajorn created, not the actual villains. That was always Gallajorn, and their proxies like Nobliss, who at least paid in blood for his role in things; sadly to Ride's detriment.
They took shots from anti-ship weapons crippling their machines and injuring them and yet they still fought like demons.
Remind of a quote “a soldier doesn’t fight because he hates what’s in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” And theses two are fighting for all those they love.
What was the quote that went like “the price of freedom is hard fought “ or something like that
Space guts left this world the same way he came in. Covered in blood, killing another person.
Man, that's pretty horrifying
The way they show how ridiculous Barbatos' specs are through the movement speed on the radar is pure genius
I mean, with some of Barbatos parts destroyed it would probably more lighter amd agile with the overclock mode
@@christianvirtudazo3106and the heavy mace also missiong
And point of fact, this thing isn't even running the latest equipment for most of its stuff. I'd love to see Barbatos Lupus Rex using the most advanced technology available.

Most of BLR upgrades are from the Mobile Armor Hashmal.
I think upgrading Barbatos with parts from melee oriented mobile suits like Destiny or Astray Red Dragon frame would work with mika's style of bashing, smashing and crushing enemies
Akihiro and Mikazuki fought valiantly until the end and died honorable deaths.
Iok, however, was dishonorable after all the awful things he's done, so nothing of value was lost when he died, so good on Akihiro for finally killing him (even at the cost of his life) and avenging Naze, Amida, Lafter, and the other turbines who have died because of Iok.
Not to mention everyone killed by the Mobile Armor.
the best part is that if lok just stay out on the battlefield he would never got killed but he was so cocky that he thought he could finish one of them off but he ran into the wrong person he piss off the most Akihiro and Akihiro was like I GOING KILL YOU BEFORE I MEET MY FRIENDS ON THE OTHER SIDE
04:35 - Iok's crimes are so detestable that even the Gusion Rebake Full City is roaring its fury and disgust at the bastard as it crushes the Kujan to death.
What did he do?
@@lowkeyarki7091 he had his love interest shot literally caught his shawty lacking shoe shopping
@@lowkeyarki7091 There are multiple things
1st) He awakens the mobile armor, agro it to a nearby city full of innocent people who died due to his actions.
2nd). He shot down Kaze when he was surrounding and killed most of the Tirbins fleeing.
3rd). He had the gull to say everything he did was for the greater good.
I love how they went wild as soon as everything is destroyed. Their mission is done either way so all that's left is to clear the rest of the rubble. They fought like gladiators staking their lives for every kill to show that Tekkadan's bites and barks weren't for show.
What was their mission
Iok deserved every single agonizing second.
Julietta was a jobber til the end, a failure who was constantly receiving undue praise. She didn't defeat Mika, the bloodloss did. She couldn't even protect those pilots she barged into Barbatos for.
All things considered, I think she's probably the "best" of normal soldiers. She's constantly been a thorn in Tekkadan's side despite her being outmatched completely. All else considered, as someone who wasn't augmented like Tekkadan was, she probably deserves the praise she's gotten from her side.
@@kylehahn4410 you know DAMN WELL that if they hadn’t used the deimsleif, Mika would have WRECKED her shit… they had to cheat with an anti fortress rail gun in order to even have a sleight chance of winning. Check yaself💀
My favorite thing about her is how in the end she completely understood she was a jobber and got a pretty good understanding of the jobees.
Isn't there a scene where she kinda altered the shot that would've ended the series?
@@megatram7410 yes... Mika failed to subdue her which gave her the chance to throw a weapon that led to Shino missing the shot..

I like how Barbatos is howling like a wolf.
well because basically the name "Barbatos Lupus Rex" means "Barbatos Wolf King" so that's pretty cool
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed
I think those sounds were produced by the Ahab Reactors being overclocked
The Wolf King howling during battle
That part was awesome and same with Space Guts Crushing Iok
This is one of those scenes that's phenomenal, dub or sub
04:00: "Stand Back, I'll handle him".... Honey, you can't handle mustard on the side of your toast, let alone Mika piloting Barbatos. I mean, you needed an entire platoon, plus freaking Odin's hammer, to shave away 90% of his health, just to barely hold a candle to him. Not even realizing your entire platoon is already dead, jumping ahead in false gusto. One of my biggest grips is that this character survived in the end.
The chick had the audacity to hold Barbatos’s head like a trophy when all she did was unplug the life support.
The fact she accepts praise later on as the one who defeated Barbatos is annoying as hell.
@@duff3879kazakshe didn't even, mika was dead already 💀

The last defence
And Iok is dying like a coward
But is die with dainsleif(is like a railgun but fired into the land area and after the dainsleif bullet lands on the ground it will create an earthquake effect depending on how much use of the bullet the more use, the bigger the earthquake)
4:21 Gushion: akihiro let's crush this prick for lafter and Aston for Tekkadan!!
the way akihiro scream when he regonise iok truly goosebumbs everytimes i watch it
Love how Barbatos basically is like Gundam Unicorn and Banshee with the fact that they both have a link with the pilots they feel pilot them the best.
Without the ntd mode/destroy mode sequence.
Barbatos is the most demanding of those Suits as it basically consumes it's pilot. Mika was only able to fully "function" when he was hooked to Barbatos otherwise he was a cripple as Barbatos had cost him an eye and the use of his left arm at the end of season 1 and had crippled him after the fight with the Mobile Armor
@@Athrun82 mika also pushes Barbatos the hardest out of any gundam pilot in IBO, he's the only one who fights on with the limiter off, Gusion never has red eyes, neither does kimaris nor bael
@@user-lv8dn8gw9z More like the only one who forces the limiter down. When the Mobile Armor struck he was also struck with some form of Inhibitor but he forced it down by sheer will which in turn crippled him completly
Imagine if they weren't weakened by dansleif, ez 1v50 for mika.
When you got nothing left to loose, all you fight for is to take down one more of your enemies
Man... It's sad that they did the ending like this. But that's why this gundam series is the best IMO
I like that they fully used tactics appropiate for dealing with a mobile armour, dainsleif fire from orbit.
And while crucial to their deaths, it failed to disable either.
Akihiro got his revenge, and Mikazuki killed many pilots and only failed to kill Julieta from a combination of dainslief injuries, being slightly distracted killing everyone else nearby, and just how survivable her suit is combined with her skill.
Julietta didn't beat Mikazuki so much as he ran out of blood by the time she arrived
Julietta should have died many times but Mikazuki "spared" her many time either because she is a woman and he was thinking about the two others on his side or because he respecteed her vow similar to his toward his friend and leader
Julietta is still the biggest fraud of the show second to Iok Kujan and deserved to die
@@GrayFolxy Mika NEVER really acknowledged her, he seemed more annoyed at her being a nuisance than any 'respected' enemy. She only survive because of plot armor.

The only thing i would’ve changed about this show is that mikazuki should have killed julieta. She had to go. Mad annoying. Other than that perfect ending
The tailbalde should have pulled a sike then stab her cockpit
Yeah she was such a fucking annoying character. Was hoping she’d die at the end too
If mika wanted to kill julieta (which going by his track record in s1) he should have, the only reason he doesn't is because plot
@@user-lv8dn8gw9z tbh the dainslef only worked because plot. Considering Barbatos' feats, it makes 0 sense it worked or even hit. Mika woulda been far gone if plot didnt say so.
also didn't he like, kick julieta off his mobile suit in space in the McGillis incident after the turbans? I remember there being a line saying "I found her while coming back, call it luck" or somn.
Akihiro should have gone red mode to finish off Iok. Would have really shown his rage and desire to live just a few seconds longer.
Akihiro isn't Multi-Implant like Mika is. otherwise he would have done so.
@@BlitzkriegOmega i thought akihiro had 2? mika has 3 though
@@skyeshi3570 you need 3 to unlock that ability. In the lore having 3 implants is equal to the system used 300 years ago which is why mika was able to use it and not akihiro
@@xchaos2501x not quite, it could be operated by a single implant, however they removed the limiters so only Mika was able to use it, I think Akihiro was able to move it around, but not do anything insane in it.
@@skyeshi3570 Didn't removing the limiters make Akihiro pass out in a matter of seconds? Pretty sure he can't withstand the backlash like Mika.
4:51 LOL
idk how many times ive repeat watching it lol
This show remains for having one of the best, most frustrating, most depressing and probably realistic endings ever. A lot of good people died. The heroes don’t get a magic get out of jail free card to disappear and live happily ever after. Too many bad guys survive and flourish. Life goes on with more of the same. Only a few true small victories achieved. Makes them feel even more important and special.
Realistic doesn't mean well written.
Gaelio should be dead
Juiletta only survives because mika never actually properly fights her and in the end she doesn't even kill him, bloodloss does
The whole king of Mars shit was stupid and imo Orga wouldn't be so obsessed with it, seeing as how just a trip to earth cost biscuit and a good of other people
The only thing the orbital bombardment did was bring the Gjallarhorn forces into shouting distance of a fair fight.
It was not enough.
it would be more epic if Gusion got that Berserk eyes just like Barbatos have when Akihiro go berserk
Technically he cant because he don't have done 3x surgery like mikazuki
god the satisfaction, that iok caused his own death by unjamming the secondary arm on the gusion

I think Gusion rebake full city is my fav gundam of all, I just love me some big ass pliers
In all of gundam series. I love the ibo the most. The live ammo, bulky iron weapon. No superficial or lazer type like shield and weapons. How heavy it feels every time barbatos smack the enemies with its chunk of steel weapon. Its more realistic.
押しつぶされて死ぬ姿・・・気持ちがいい・・・
I really wish they do a spin off series of the calamity war. That seems interesting. Humans were 500 years more advance before that even. Could be epic.

This gundam series is better than whole another gundam series!
モビルスーツとは思えない動きパイロット負荷ヤバいだろw
Just to make it perfectly clear they knew they had to weaken them with a banned railgun from space in order to just even the odds. even the commander knew that if he went toe to toe planet side he would of come out with too many losses. Add this to the fact that this strike wasnt wat killed barbatos, na the demon was still raging to go. Would of loved to of seen a full health fight between Julia and Mika.
I also did some quick math. the galihorn mech closes in on Gusion at about 300m/s not bad, pretty fast if you ask me. Barbatos closes in on the first graze (assuming the scales and sensor ranges are the same, probably not with the inferior grazes but...) at around 950m/s.... barbatos is going at triple the speed. not to mention most pilots can barely keep up with msot of the grazes movements according to lore. The alaya vinyana system is hoorifying
The god rods were unable to take down the two devils
Would love to see a gundam vs some alien or monster that'd be bad a s. war techs there just needs someone other than humans to fight against for once.
I loved this show however it was heartbreaking watching all the characters I've grown to love die.😢

Babators: is the 8th spirit named among the list of 72 demons in The Lesser Key of Solomon. According to grimoire tradition, he holds the rank of Duke and (like the demon Buer) may appear when the sun is in the sign of Sagittarius. He appears "with four noble kings and their companions in great troops when summoned." Barbatos grants the ability to understand the spoken language of animals, such as birds singing and dogs barking. He reveals hidden treasures concealed by the enchantment of magicians, gives knowledge of past and future events, and reconciles disputes between friends and those who hold power. Barbatos has 30 legions of spirits under his command and once belonged to the angelic order of Virtues.
Gusion: He tells all past, present, and future things, shows the meaning of all questions asked to him, reconciles friends, and gives honor and dignity.
@@zillagrilla315 ....so barbatos is a fallen angel?
@@nurlindafsihotang49 Roughly speaking yes. Basically, all of the 72 pillars of Solomon are. For another Marchosias (35 of the 72) Wikipedia has the following:
Is a great and mighty Marquis of Hell, commanding thirty legions of demons. In the Ars Goetia, the first book of The Lesser Key of Solomon (17th century), he is depicted as a wolf with gryphon's wings and a serpent's tail, spewing fire from his mouth, but at the request of the magician he may take the form of a man. He is a strong fighter and gives true answers to all questions, and is very faithful to the magician in following his commands. Before his fall he belonged to the angelic order of Dominations (or Dominions), and when he was bound by Solomon, he told him that after 1,200 years he hoped to return to Heaven ("unto the Seventh Throne").
In the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum (1577) of Johann Weyer the demon is called Marchocias and his description is much the same as that given in the Goetia except that his gender when appearing as a wolf is female ("a cruel she wolf") and spewing forth "I cannot tell what" from his mouth. He likewise hopes to eventually return to the Seventh Throne but is "deceived in that hope."

Despite all the satisfaction battle, in the end Tekkadan is getting crushed by mere quantity and little bit tactic, that speak for their lack of experience and still just a group of innocent children.... Had they wait until they r mature enough, they can definitely take the odds...
"Tactic" aka plot armor called having illegal weaponry and somehow being able to get it in a place where your supply lines are extremely limited.
@@Honest_Mids_Masher Dude, I take the whole illegal tactic as a sign of respect and fear. Mika and Akihiro were unbeatable in their Gundams. Put them against an army of, let's say, 5,000 with fully fueled and fixed Barbatos and Gusion. It would be a one-sided slaughter for Gjallhorn. Rustel needed to end the fight with the majority of his men intact because he needed to show Gjallhorn was still strong. If word got out that two kids defeated the best army in Sol, then Gjallhorn would crumple (we can only dream.) So Rustel did an illegal static as his only way to win and it's realistic. Since governments do all sorts of shady things and cover them up.
@@zillagrilla315 Sure I ain't arguing against that but I'm talking about the fact that the whole reason that Tekkadan went to Mars is because Rustal has a weak supply line there and wouldn't be able to bring much firepower and yet illegal weaponry that's enough to turn two Gundams into walking corpses somehow not only managed to escape the eyes of the public and anyone's radar despite McGillis being able to find out the disappearance of only one dainsleif but they were also able to bring said dainsleifs all the way to Mars, the place where they were supposed to be weak.
