Excellent discussion. I gave my poor purple Tang HLLE with voltage in his 20Long post TTM observance tank. Measured 58Vac with my meter. I have grounding probes everywhere now, its a real thing

Wonderful presentation thank you. Dangerous misconception captive bread do not carry diseases, these fish are almost always exposed to wild caught fish, almost always end up in LFS with other sick & underfed fish with shared water systems.
Appreciate the tips on young fish, risks when medicating, I questioned this from the start, LFS owners + producers of medications would do well to have this information at hand as they don’t know it.

I’m not against quarantining fish but ironically I have killed more fish by quarantine than ones that I have not

Lost my biota yellow tang in quarantine treating with copper due to a velvet outbreak in my dp tank. He was fine the first 2 weeks he never got marine velvet but could not take the chance of leaving him on the dp tank. After 2 weeks of quarantine he stopped eating and he was acting lethargic. So i moved him in a new 10gallon tank with no medication he passed the second day. Really these yellow tangs are very sensitive to copper. All other fish is fine in copper

Hi I don’t know if you can help me but I bought a pair of clowns 1 week ago, added them to quarantine treated for internal parasites and after a couple of days they were eating, doing 10 percent or less water changes every other day and then when I did a larger water change and added 2nd treatment last night, they have stopped eating today... acting normal swimming but look a little scared and stressed, maybe because of the treatment and heavy water change they are stressed? Any ideas?

What treatment/medication are you using? Praziquantel, for example, sometimes causes temporary appetite suppression.
