  • There is no way to partially follow Jesus. In this week's podcast, John and Allen reveal the danger of divided affections, or what they call the "Jesus And" life. This approach never works- because we were created for Jesus alone to be at the center of every part of our lives. Discover why many settle for less than God intended-and how we can experience more by going through the "second wardrobe door". The "All-In" life isn't just the safest place in the world, it's actually the only safe place in the world.

I tried staying in that first wardrobe door for a time. It's great, but God loves us far too much to let us remain there

when we receive his love , complete forgiveness, for EVERYTHING, his undying LOVE AND helps we will be undone. TRYING to make him become everything to us is a lost cause..receivING HIS love transforms us and all our works melt

In 2011 Tullian Tchividjian (Grandson of Billy Graham) published "Jesus + Nothing = Everything." This really explained GRACE to me for the first time. He also does a great job of explaining how ALL we _really_ need is Jesus.

Another incredible message and thank you both for what you bring to the table in this discussion. It really is what I needed to focus on! I deeply, deeply appreciate what your ministry has done for me personally over the decades, probably since my 30 so that's at least three decades! Thank you so much and glory to God!

What advice would you give in finding a church who is building disciples and walking the path of Christ and not just filling seats and making church “attractive and comfortable” as you spoke to. I moved to a new state and city and have no contacts. Thanks! Loved the talk!

I'm trying, but these questions come to mind. Feedback appreciated.
So if I'm truly all in with Jesus, nothing bad will happen to me or my loved ones?
That seems impossible to me. Bad things happen to everyone as far as I can tell.
Does this mean if I've failed to be "all in" when something bad happens, so it's my fault?
I'd be really happy with just being able to persevere regardless of what happens
That's my goal actually bec that seems doable
Lot's of bad things have happened lately, and I certainly haven't been all in, and I am trying.
I do know there is no other solid foundation, refuge or fortress that exists other than Jesus
Certainly not one I can make on my own. I've learned that much living my life.

I may have missed it but I don’t believe they said nothing bad will happen to you if you are all in with Jesus.
If you look at the lives of many Saints in history, they were martyred for their beliefs and walk with Jesus.
I was Protestant for 27 years and I can understand you saying that you are trying but haven’t been all in. I don’t believe I was truly all in until I converted to Eastern Orthodoxy ☦️ recently myself. I would highly recommend checking out Eastern Orthodoxy.

Great question. The "All In" life is about pursuing union with God above all else because it is what God created us for. He alone is our source of rescue, restoration, and life.
Evaluating the choice based on whether our life is easier or harder is another way of saying the highest goal is for no bad things to happen to us in this fallen world. Yet God never promises that. In fact, Jesus says quite clearly that in this world, we will have trouble. That as he was persecuted, we will be too. He who clings to this life will lose it. And on it goes. Scripture is abundantly clear that believers in the Old and New Testament faced all kinds of trials, persecution, and even death because of their beliefs. Being "All In" is the safest place to be because Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other way to be forgiven or redeemed. Partially in is, as John says in next week's podcast, like having one foot on the shore and one in the canoe and hoping for the best. Thanks for engaging with us!
