    Kudos to you for the one-take approach instead of editing - it really forces one to practice and will be much more rewarding in the long run. This cover is spot-on

      Thank you, definitely it helps. Especially to play songs good in a live situation 👍

    I like this video so much.
    Sometimes when I play a show with our band I often think during calm/quiet parts "Next part will be challenging, do not fk up, get a grip". Or when we try some cover or new (~long forgotten) song and you literally are resting/recovering hand stamina during some double kicks...
    Man, It really surprise me that we all think the same things sometimes)

      Well, we are all drummers after all and thus have to deal with similar problems :)

    Very important content for drummers or basicaly anybody playing an instrument. RUclips became a place of perfection, but this shows the human part behind the final product.
    It helps a lot knowing, that Im not the only one with the voice and doubts in my head.
    Certain songs and skills needs time and effort, this is a good reminder for ppl - not to put pressure on themselves, expecting to learn what they saw a guy doing on YT in 30 minutes.
    Great job man.

    The technicality of your videos reminds of John Moraitis's harpsichord pre-performance breakdowns :D
    You deserve so much more recognition for those chops, Mr Gröger :)

    In your opinion how good are Zoltan cymbals? I've been researching then considering buying the rock beat set. I see you have been endorsed by them for a long time now. Are they durable? I can tell they sound good from your videos. But what is your opinion?

    • @wanjanechtangroeger
      @wanjanechtangroeger  Год назад +1

      I am actually thinking about switching to a different brand - but this is due to artist relation issues and not related to how I like the cymbals. Durability is average compared to other cymbals I have played before. Customer service is very good, so switching out broken cymbals is no problem while you have warranty. But the biggest advantage is that you get very good sounding cymbals for what you pay :)

    Bad ass cover:). But Barker played the little tam fills in the beginning the same way as you, not on a right hihat. Epic! There is a video of it here on RUclips:)

    Why don't you just use the technique you use for blast beat during the single stroke fills ? In the end blast beat is just a single strokes when It comes to the hands part of It.

    I would say then, stop practicing your push pull technique and get back to raw single stroke.
