I read somewhere that the writers decided not to give the Light Fury a name, in order to emphasize her wild nature. Though I've also heard, unofficially, that the name they would have given her was Luna.

So if you have THIS character also names Luna, your brain is hardwired to think of the OTHER Luna first. Who while you're wrangling your brain to pay attention to THIS story, you're actually missing out on it. Which isn't to say that there should be no repeat names in fiction ever! It's just the popular ones can feel over-used, and hence, distracting.
