So much fun!! I’m 73 now but still remember fishing with my Gma and Gpa and using the red & white float that we called a bobber in the 50s. I love your channel. 👏👏🐟🐟🐟👏👏
And…. This hour long vid was Emmy award stuff; mesmerizing! Some of the best content around. Give us more! I would pay good money to fish that dock one time! Too much fun. Only need one fish to eat, just video and take a few pics of the rest. Thanx for the splendid hour of clips!
Man, I do enjoy the night fishing at the dock. Who has it better than you? You have all the fish you want and a wife who knows how to cook them. That`s gold in today's lifestyle, if you know what I mean!
When my grandfather and my Dad taught me to fish along the Gulf Coast 60 plus years ago, we always used the old style red and white bobbers (as well as cork and styrofoam). It was exciting to me to watch that bobber disappear. I bet there may still be a couple in the tackle box I inherited from Dad.
Man end of Feb. prob March by the time we see this Video? More like November. Love your Videos none the less. When are you coming to Texas to try your luck down in Galveston? Keep up the Great work.
Just like the good ole days, Brent, I like this vid because it reminds me of my younger days, and Mel just happens to be there with you, that's great. The anticipation of what you might catch out of the shadows is intriguing, and just the tranquility of being alone is great. Enjoy both of your channels.
That 1st Spec was nice, very nice sized. Whenever I've come upon Spec's around a light source they always were schooled up & IDKnow the reasons for it either. I was getting eat up by mosquito's & couldn't swat them from my face, dropped my rod with a shrimp on the ground & the bait fell into about 20 inches of water on a man made concrete carpet deal. I got hit & had a spec on, no line was out b/c I had dropped it. I never reeled it or cast it, put a shrimp on & let the line back in & pow again. I did it for about 15 minutes & left w/ a sH!Teload of 14 - 16 inch Spec's. Never seen it nor done it again but I thought you were about to have that kinda Spec Attack? You're a great fisherman & I was lucky but you reminded me of it. Thanks for that. means alot.
I used the red and white plastic corks as a tot in the late 60s and mid 70s.l preferred the elongated cork one, but the red and whites were still cool.
That is one sharp looking store, to top it off, the tackle and merchandise is actually what’s wanted and needed, not filled with carnival toys from China.
The light line is a perfect ambush perimeter, its like structure that's there but not there . Fish are greedy, if they feed in the light they know others will try and steal it. Glad to see corks might be making a come back 🤙
I grew up fishing the Gulf on the beaches of Gulf Shores. We had a cabin that Hurricane Frederick destroyed. It all ended then. But great memories were had at that cabin. Whiting and Spanish.
Man l know! When l was just a teen, my folks had a place on Lake Eufaula Al. We had a lighted dock. I DO SO miss those days of fishing in the dark, peaceful, quiet if the night! Dragging in Crappie after Crappie. Till you're just plum outta bait... Those were the days!
if you ever get stung by a catfish... rub its skin on the wound, it will take the pain away... don't ask why but it works, old fishing friend tought me this a while back when I got stung by one...
Brant, the only thing the store is missing...is a mascot! Why don't any of you guys have a dog, or even a cat?! Any time I walk into my local store, the guy always takes my bucket and asks how many shrimp...and then I head right toward the dog and get some goodluck pets in before fishing. Just an idea!!
So right about those catfish Brant. My mum was at our condo in Long Beach Mississippi, went for her daily hike along the beach, wasn't looking, stepped on one - barb went right thru her big toe. Stupidly, she had us pull it out - WRONG thing to do as they have barbs which I'm quite sure remained in her toe. Folks, never pull the damn things out, go to the hospital and get it done properly. You'll also need a Tetanus shot if your not up to date.
I was fishing Sabastian inlet and caught a pretty big sailcat. As I reeled it in my other took off. I grabbed the catfish a put his spine right through my thumb. Clipped off the bottom of the spine connected to the fish and reeled my other rod in that had a keeper red fish. This other fisher next to inquired if I was okay. I showed him my thumb and he went white. I proceeded to pull the catfish spine thru the top of my nail. The guy fainted 😅 I temporarily for got about my throbbing thumb in concern about this man, luckily he was okay and we just started laughing 🤣. A night to remember.
I can take worms in my hamburger but not my Fish! Also, your wading in the dark made made cringe. Stingrays? Ouch… I love the dock light series. They’re very relaxing and exciting and magical.
haha that's the best family trout I've ever seen. I've used those old corks for ever. Still have a couple of em tucked away. Purple leopard skin hoodie perfect for dock fishing.
I like freshwater drum. You have to remove the bloodline meat, just like many fish. If I catch a large one, I sometimes steam the meat and use it to make fish patty's. Even a redfish is just a drum.

The name of your channel says it all. Thank you for taking time to share your experience.

Awesome video. Definitely grew up using the old school red and white floaters.
Great video brant and great catch ❤❤ and I noticed your fishing at night to avoid Ricky 😂😂😂
Do you mean Fred?
@williambenner701 no I don't
I've caught all kinds of freshwater fish on the old red and white bobbers. All sizes. Lots of fun, especially with the grandkids!
The good ol' Red n White Bobber!
The mere sounnd of one of those bouncing on a dock or boat deck brings back so many good memories.
Nice! Glad to see you guys have bait at the store! We will be over to see you in about a week! Looks like an amazing store you guys have put together!
I can’t believe how many times it took for you to bring a n e t😂😂. Good video and thanks for bringing the “catcher” bet she had fun.

9:37 WHO on earth asks that question?😂🤣😂 You would think that anyone watching this fishing video would know why someone would hate hardheads lol.

Night dock fishing! I grew up doing this for catfish and crappies.
Some great catches for sure!

Paul Prudhomme’s Redfish Magic is definitely the best tasting blackening seasoning you should buy. IMO 👍👍
Nice video! My family used those red and white bobbers and the yellow and orange ones almost every time we fished. I think everyone I knew did.
Store looks great!....I was in there a few months back, bought some shirts and hats!
That is one sharp looking store, to top it off, the tackle and merchandise is actually what’s wanted and needed, not filled with carnival toys from China.

Great video! I've had some insane dock light fishing in virginia. Tons of striper up here.
“… of hooking up…”. Sounded like something else! 👀 😂🤣
You are a great fisher bro
Wow, the store is really looking good now... I saw it when ya'all started :)
I grew up fishing the Gulf on the beaches of Gulf Shores. We had a cabin that Hurricane Frederick destroyed. It all ended then. But great memories were had at that cabin. Whiting and Spanish.
We are in Orange Beach! We will have to come check out the store.
"I like catching not fishing"-Melanie😂This was the guest we needed on this channel lol
I still use those "old school" red and white style corks Brant🤣😂
Wow, that was an incredible catch! The fight was intense! I've been trying to land one that size for ages. Any tips on what kind of bait you used?
This is cute dude. You're like honey. You're going fishing to me. She goes like yes dear and she could not care less LOL
I like the black drum over a sheep head any day red drum makes a good chowder fish
Used the red and white plastic bobbers for most of my life, and definitely for all my youth and up to 30's.
Just curious. Who maintains your live bait tanks? Y'all or your live bait purveyor?
Making me miss home at P'cola bad. About to head to my place in Texas for the rut action.
Nice video 😊
Do you ever get blues or Grey Trout with those dock lights.
Those spaghetti worms are even in the Catfish from the local Publix, Impossible to get a piece without them,
Great video! You catching not fishing!
if you ever get stung by a catfish... rub its skin on the wound, it will take the pain away... don't ask why but it works, old fishing friend tought me this a while back when I got stung by one...
Since it's dark outside, I think you should put a bell on your rods so you can increase your multi-tasking 🙂 Just kidding of course.

Would Love to see more of the wife...😂
Lol you wine like my wife on a big fish little rod lol grate job bud I just had to say that lol
Stingrays, I hate those more than flathead catfish. I lived in G.S. back in the early 90’s n loved fishing there.
Does it sound like your reel needs sewing machine oil?

Them old red and and white corks are ancient
Y’all didn’t have live when I was there! Next time I will be there!
Where exactly are you ?
Nice.
What state is this
He said Florida like e times
@ mfer realz?
I used those corks till 1966
actually I love eating black drum, specially those smaller ones....I love the fight from the reds but I rather eat many other species
First one to like never miss a video
I can take worms in my hamburger but not my Fish! Also, your wading in the dark made made cringe. Stingrays? Ouch… I love the dock light series. They’re very relaxing and exciting and magical.
I use those corks
I used those, but the folks in MN call it a bobber, not a cork. And before you say we’re wrong, Brent, y’all forgot the net, so there
You sound like a joy to be around….
@ that’s not true! I’ve been married 4 times, so that’s proof right there that I’m wonderful
Anyone else feel like they have seen this before . Still love it tho good bite
I love using the old red and white corks but we call them bobers
We'll be seeing this in March huh? 😂
I'm in Georgia so I believe all the fish that run off the Chat taboo bed have worms.
Ok, outside the light...heard that 15 times😂
Now 18 times...lol
l used to catch them with floating Rapalas.
I've got some docks I fish full of monster red's several times I've hooked fish I couldn't stop
I kid you not, my wife (who loves fishing and is big fan) just asked the other day if your wife ever fishes with you 😂.
haha that's the best family trout I've ever seen. I've used those old corks for ever. Still have a couple of em tucked away. Purple leopard skin hoodie perfect for dock fishing.
Gotta differentiate between saltwater and freshwater drum. Huuuge difference
I like freshwater drum. You have to remove the bloodline meat, just like many fish. If I catch a large one, I sometimes steam the meat and use it to make fish patty's. Even a redfish is just a drum.
bro looks like tom brady
All you get to keep is 3 pr person Right
Commonly called a bobber
I believe you need a net
Why would I ever be in Alabama?😮
You mean first fish of the night
fun
Great day and God bless 😅
Hard head catdon't taste that good? NO, I tried one and it tastes terrible.
Why do you guys keep putting out the long videos of stuff we have already seen?!
Growing up guys would catch black drum so big that had to scale them with a garden hoe.
Bacon grease goddess is a classy gal 👍
The great answer is because they suck!,!
