The movie hits hard for me because I’ve been bullied in my past life for 2 years straight because everyone THOUGHT I was gay because a friend of mine tricked me into saying “I’m gay” infront of the camera and showed everybody and that rumor ran through the whole school and I was know for being gay the next 2 years after, this movie hit different so hard I ended up crying 12-15 times ESPECIALLY at the end bro, I kid you not I’ve watched the movie so many times and that last part STILL gets me as well as some other parts, BUT THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT THO...🥲
When I was 14, I read the manga for Koe no Katachi and was already very moved by it. But then I lost most of my hearing a few months before the movie came out. I lost friends, I was distanced from family, and I had never felt more alone in my life. This movie and by extension it's incredibly emotional soundtrack saved my life, and proved to me that despite being mostly deaf I could be loved and cherished. I've been learning ASL recently with my girlfriend and we watched it together, we were both moved to tears yet again. What an incredible movie. Thank you for your amazing performance.

very rare is it to find music that can actually draw tears in my eyes, not from sadness or anything. Just from hearing pure beauty and my body not knowing how to react. this anime was beautiful and this song was an absolute perfect pairing for it.

Damn perfect timing, you posting this as soon as i watched a silent voice, now only if i had seen this post when i finish the moive it would feel more emotional but then again i was never good with emotions i have been told im not a robot and need to feel things and so after watching the moive and hearing this song i think i can begin to lose my monotone voice and blank stare and begin to feel what i had been unable, no not allowed to do for just over 18 years now. Thanks for the experience and hopefully i will learn how to use emotions.

Silent voice broke me to tears since i was bullied in high school for no reason at all, i literally watched half of the movie and couldn't make it to the end in that same day cause i felt really down, i watched the second half one week later and it left me having weird feelings.

When I say this is the only anime film that made me cry, and one of the few films in all time I’ve seen that made me cry, I 100% mean it. At the end I was sobbing so hard
This anime is perfect in the way it displays how misunderstandings bring misfortune and untangle friendships. And the music does well to compliment that idea. Well guess I gotta learn this piece now
I fell in love with this it's funny how I am somewhat like shoya I bullied my classmates and my best friend back then talked behind my back I changed during quarantine I got social anxiety and after that the next two years were the best because it was amazing with my friends I left that school the one I was there from nursery for 13 years I was there now I need to focus on my future it's tough I let go of alot of stuff
