My ears are fixed and working just fine - which is why I'm able to differentiate between a sharp ugly-toned poorly phrased generally ugly voice with very little musical beauty - and the purest, brightest, most agile, most beautifully toned voice in recording history.
I can only pity those like you who cannot hear the difference.
