Well, Bald has definitely broken the stereotype that Brits are reserved and distant. I'm amazed by his charisma and ability to talk to and charm anyone, truly a gift and he uses it for good. I'm probably most jealous of his trip to Baikonur.

The Brits are only reserved because the true character is one of chaos. The balance between those two things is where the creativity comes from - leaders in design, fashion, digital services, and historically bold pioneers and inventors and yes, colonialists. That doesn’t all come from being inward and reserved. Bald 500 years ago would probably have been a Francis Drake or some East India Company merchant.
And he doesn't just speak Anglo, either, which is way out of form but in a good way. 💙

I hope it's not just going to be more of the same. With his recent and past UK videos the dereliction agenda is already a bit tired at least from a UK perspective.
@@jswmonkey197Yeah I'm sick of the poor baiting in UK videos these days... There's far more nice places than there is rough places but that doesn't get the views I guess... I tend to watch the positive UK vloggers.
I knew that wasn't a random guy that Mr Bald met in the street!
I am a Japanese citizen who has traveled in the UK for business and pleasure multiple times, to places such as Towcester, Torquay, and Paignton as well as London, Edinburgh, and York. The vast majority of the local folks I’ve met were friendly, cheerful, and down to earth. I feel far less ethnic/racial prejudice compared to some parts of the US (I’ve lived in South Carolina for 5 years of my childhood).
Looking forward to exploring more of your wonderful country with you, Mr Bald!
You don't mention which South Carolinians showed prejudice. In my experience the long-accused Whites are the least racist, particularly in the Southern US.

Very true about the accents in Britain. I remember watching a lecture on a US campus about the Yorkshire Ripper. They were talking about the hoax phone calls that were made and how the police could narrow down the location of the hoax called based on their accent to a specific suburb with a population of just over 2000 people. The American college kids just couldn't get their head around it.

Germany/Austria have strong regional variations of local accents. Similar in difference and strength as the UK. We even had to develop "hoch-deutsch", or "high German", which is an analog to the King's English which is used so that people can actually understand each other.

Got to briefly meet Mr. Bald in an airport. I noticed him having a beer at the bar alone while my missus was in the restroom. As soon as she came back we approached him and there were at least 15 people around him taking selfies and trying to buy him drinks. An amazing, charismatic dude.
