    This is what Hulk is meant to be. Bruce's transformation is meant to be a spectacle while being a tragedy, he cannot control himself and it takes a strong reminder of his humanity to calm him down - that reminder is Betty.

    I have a feeling the antidote actually made it easier for banner to control the transformation rather than stop it From happening completely because even after this. Yes it was difficult at first but he still managed to change when the needed to fight abomination

    • @aperson3723
      @aperson3723 2 года назад +50

      Bruce doesn’t necessarily control hulk since hulk is basically an alter ego with his own body (that Bruce made to cope with the abuse he suffered when he was a kid and that abuse is what caused him to have suppressed anger and in this case that alter egos body is a gamma radiation monster. And the reason why hulk is always angry is because when he switches from Bruce he remembers all of those traumatic suppressed memories which is a symptom from suffering from personality dissociative identity disorder) when Bruce becomes hulk he usually blacks out and remembers little to nothing of what happens when he transforms.
      The reason why it was difficult for him to transform is because we see earlier in the film that the antidote worked momentarily until the gamma radiation came back that’s why blonsky who was slapping him around getting his heart rate up managed to capture him and Bruce didn’t transform. If Bruce tried to transform say a hour after taking the antidote I don’t think it would’ve been difficult. We can see hulk coming out of the ground as if he woke up from a nap, he was still feeling the effects of the antidote, it’s like if someone is recovering from a life threatening sickness, they won’t have as much energy.

It looked like Norton learned to tap into the Hulk at will in the after-credits of this movie, but Ruffalo got defaulted to step 1 in The Avengers. Betty was never referenced even when Natasha became Bruce's love interest in Age of Ultron, and for the first few minutes I saw their relationship as a brother-sister type...until they kissed and I realized Betty really was retconned out of the game, lol. I disagree, I feel like Eric and Mark did a good job as Bruce banner. Personally I prefer marks banner and hulk. But Edward Nortons hulk is badass and his Bruce banner is just boring atleast for me, I don't get the feeling that he is struggling with a monster inside him. One of Bruce banners character traits is he has anger issues, Eric bena and mark(first avengers) portrayed this perfectly. My problem is Disney and the direction they took hulk. It's 100% Disneys and the Russo brothers fault for turning hulk into a bitch. MCU ended with endgame, it's dead to me.

Remember that Tony Stark with the Arc Reactor in his chest is in the end credits scene for this one and if I remember correctly, the Incredible Hulk came out after Iron Man 1, just for some reason with the later hulks, they absolutely butchered what the hulk was meant to be.
