Been in music since 1967. This was a stream of consciousness song. It indeed placed you directly in her mind where you can feel the exquisite pain. Amazing vocal. amazing voice, amazing soul.
Her Daddy’s a preacher. She performed this about 2 weeks before her mother committed suicide. I have watched reactions to this song for hours, days and I am literally crying a river.
The first time I heard this I felt like I was trespassing in to someone else's personal space. Really seemed like I was somewhere I shouldn't be.

Yebba completely changed my perspective on what a good vocalist is. Seeing this performance for the first time genuinely changed my life. You can't miss with her, every vid you find is amazing.

I’m an older man and I’m not afraid to admit that Abbey brought a 😢 tear to my eye with this incredibly passionate and soulful song. He bears her vulnerability and pain out there and there is no way to not feel her pain too. Incredible voice!
She's amazing. She did a collab with PJ Morton and the performance won a grammy. All her collaberations are special. Gravity with Clark Beckham is a must, her very first video to her song Evergreen which she wrote for her mom who commited suicide shortly after this My Mind performance. The filming of Evergreen was done in the church her and her mom used to attend. It was the first time she was able to go back to the church since her mom passed. I follow her on IG and shes such a cool person.

Clark was runner-up on Season 14 Idol and heard Abbey ( YEBBA ) sing, he d.m.’d her and ask her to come to Nashville to record “ Gravity “, with him and she accepted. THANK GOD. They will take you to church with this recording and you can enjoy another side of Abbey and be introduced to another fantastic singer, Clark Beckham. ☺️

Her mother died by suicide about a week after Yebba sang her first original song, causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. She says her artist name was chosen to honor her mother, who she said "always called her by the nickname" (her name Abbey written backwards) as a child.
I guess from what I’ve seen , her mom committed suicide and her bf cheated on her. Where that pain comes from. Such a powerful performance. She might be one of if not the best singer I’ve ever heard. Crazy
