I'm a 55 y/o rock and roller, but I've watched at least 50 different reactions to Yebba singing this. It's just mesmerizing, and I still tear up and get chills. A master class on so many levels.

Yebba sings each emotion at different stages. The grief, the sadness, the anger, the resolve, the hurt, the disbelief and the feeling like you gave them everything and they did you dirty. It does make you feel like you are going to lose your mind, but you are trying to keep it together. Hell of a performance. Check out Larry from Les Twins dancing to this song. Incredible.

This was the first Yebba song I ever heard. And I spent 2 weeks listening,watching and crying ugly. She’s what I call a “ vocal gymnast “.

Her mother died by suicide about a week after Yebba sang her first original song, causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. She says her artist name was chosen to honor her mother, who she said "always called her by the nickname" (her name Abbey written backwards) as a child.... yes I concur with your all‘s reaction when I first heard it I had to dig deeper because of how she deeply portrayed the emotions and it makes sense now a little more... since I too lost my mother four years ago so this song is very personal to her I hear her saying it it becomes personal for me all that being said I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the interpretive dancers called Les Twins they are awesome at what they do the one brother Larry does an interpretive dance to this song and it is so wonderful so I am requesting that you look at the video you won’t regret it thank you and have a newcomer to this phenomenon of reactors on RUclips so I’m learning as I go you are an inspiring couple Much love
I not an expert on music.. but I LISTEN to all genres of music from Opera (Pavarotti) Country (Carrie Underwood) Rap (Eminem; Tupac) Blues (Ella Fitzgerald; Beth Hart) Soul (Aretha Franklin; James Brown) Rock (Janis Joplin; Phil Collins) but in my opinion this particular song ‘My Mind’ sung LIVE (!) in front of an audience (at Sofar [Songs For A Room NYC 2016) is the most emotionally moving and heartbreaking, heart wrenching solo performance by any singer, male or female I’ve ever heard in my life ( 60-years-old) 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I JUST SUBSCRIBED; Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸

I wondered the same thing first time I heard her. “WHERE HAS SHE BEEN?!” Turns out she’s been out for a little bit signed to Ed Sheeran’s label & also doing background singing for Drake & other artists. I loved her duet with Sam Smith called “No Peace”.
