This was her first solo set as featured artist and Ed Sheeran's team signed her immediately following this song. She was only 20-21 years old here.
Clark Beckham was runner-up on American Idol, saw Yebba on IG and asked her to join him.

I'm just so blown away by the emotion that she conveys through her voice in this song. It is so rare to witness, let alone have a video of it. I've watched this video of Yebba over 50 times and it still gives me chills every time. Yebba is in.cred.i.ble!
You'd have to be a sociopath not to be affected by Yebba wailing out her pain. So many people (including me) shed tears while watching her perform this song. It's just another level above amazing, unbelievable, awesome, etc.

If you are still taking suggestions, I would have to recommend Dimash Kudaibergen singing SOS. Most argue that he is the best male singer on the planet. I’ll warn you, once you start listening to him it’s hard to stop! The song is in French but it doesn’t matter, it’s incredible.
Of course, I'll always take suggestions! Wow best male voice on the planet huh, that's a big statement. Now I HAVE to check him out haha. Thanks!
She’s a hidden gem! How she is not more mainstream is beyond my comprehension!! But she has won a Grammy in 2018 for BEST TRADITIONAL R&B PERFORMANCE

This was the performance that garnered her a contract...it's about 5 years old. She sang background with Chance the Rapper on SNL and collaborated with many other artists, including Robert Glasper.
This is what we call singing, singing with a capital C, conveying emotions, this girl is incredible, touched by the fairies of soul music ... I love ...❤️🎶

I couldn’t agree with you more. Her runs, her dynamics and her range creates such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately she lost her mother just a week or so prior to this performance. Probably where a lot of emotion was coming from.

She actually lost her mom the week After this performance. The emotion is real because the story is real...and she sings from an open and honest place full of vulnerability.

She blew my mind! In fact, I lost it as soon as she went up in scale "she can't take you away from me" and kept weeping for 10 minutes after the song was over and I've never been cheated on so imagine the treasure trove of talent we've uncovered here. Sad yes because the song is sad but very happy because somehow it made me happy after all the tears washed up. Can we say pent up frustration and emotion? I just wanted you to know that you are the best reaction to Yebba thus far on "My Mind & Gravity".

There is more out there by Yebba you should try. Evergreen (Beats one version), Best Part of me (duet with Ed Sheeran - Abbey Road version) and Smoke (another duet). They are fantastic.

Her mother died by suicide about a week after Yebba sang her first original song, causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. She says her artist name was chosen to honor her mother, who she said "always called her by the nickname" (her name Abbey written backwards) as a child..... I enjoyed your reaction this first time I ever seen one of your reactions and I believe I’ll add you to my subscribing list I’m new to this phenomenon of Reactions... I don’t just subscribe to anybody so if you read this I would like to suggest or should I say request?... got to get the lingo down .....that you watch a video of I set of twins that do interpretive dance... Larry (Les Twins) does one to this song it’s absolutely almost as phenomenal as the song itself just in dance form ... so one of these Fridays I would hope you give it a chance... Thank you
