I absolutely love my black Ariat Work's. They have been perfect for delivering & super light weight leather uppers, polished, sturdy, nonslip/oil resist/non marking/water proof and very comfortable ! This is my 3rd pair within the last 6yrs . They have lasted at least 1.5 years each pair...paid $110
Danner Bull Run is my favorite boot. I have two pair and have resoled both. I wear them all the way up to most winter or heavy rain days. I no longer work for UPS, but take care of your feet. Driving is hard on your body and your boots.
I only been driving for about 10/11 months, but so far my favorite pair has been Dr Martens. The tread has held up pretty decent, looking for my next pair now.
I drive out of Palatine hub and I've been wearing a lot of different boots. Two in particular are very comfortable: Viktos Johnny Combat and Goruck Macv1. Both are very light weight and excellent summer boots. The Macv1 also have great arch support. I recommend both and they're not too expensive either, the Viktos are 120 and the Goruck's are 160.
Great video. I drive LTL for ESTES and looking for a good boot/shoe for all the walking we both do day to day yet ridged for running the clutch all day in the city. Your video is great because it’s totally on point to today’s delivery driver. The standard boot for truck drivers just doesn’t hold up when delivering in and out of the truck all day and walking on cement
I've tried a lot of work boots I'm a foodservice delivery driver nothing last past 6 months. I'm just order a pair of keen and also brunt if I can get a year out of a shoe I would be happy.
Over the years have concluded wet feet, wet uniform will make your day suck. I always have good boots on and rain gear. Even 2 hi vis vests. One for summer, one for wet winter bulk.
Keen are also a popular brand in my center. I do have a pair of Red Wings that are US made and I love them so much I don’t wear them for work bcuz I don’t want to wear them out. They were a gift and over $300 for the pair. They took very long to break in but the feel once they were broken in is second-to-none. I’ve been wondering for some time about trying a pair of boots with the wedge shaped outer sole like that last pair of Danner’s you showed and I may try something like those next when my next pair of keens is done for. I also like that tread wear which seems better suited to walking on diamond plate and kind of softer which is nice for walking on concrete or paved roads all day.

Do one on how not to die of heatstroke in a 130 degree cargo compartment with no ventilation when you’re package selection takes 10 minutes due to a) ORION and b) the stellar preloader who makes less $ in a shift than you make in an hour.
@@MrBarrySell I’m an amazon delivery driver and our vans get hot as hell too. If I have to go to the back I open up the doors and leave them open to air it out. Gets about 120 degrees back there when the sun is out. Zero insulation.
Red wings for me to heavy for job. Always go back to wolverine dureshocks, with blue pad cushion on soles. Average about 9 months to 1.5 yrs. Water resistant, no way water proof, like stepping in puddles all day. Will bleed dye color into socks. Even blood your feet if soaked. I have had 2 pairs over the years resoul. But can only glue vibram soul onto, cost like 75ish. Not as comfortable as orginal dureshock. Cost new like 150ish. Almost never on sale. Fyi..feeder driver. Think I've had 7 or 8 pairs over 20yrs. Takes me time to decide I need new pair. Hate parting with my money. Later upsers.
Hey Chris I just finished Inter grad, I passed but I’m my last day of inter grad the instructor said the midnight jags I was wearing were not acceptable because they weren’t non slip
Just got the call I’ve been waiting for! Monday is orientation day!
How long you wait?
P Dooley How did orientation go ?
@@pdxgamer3789 it’s all good just fill paper work three days and watch safety videos. It’s cold in the hub when you work it’s good man

@@chris707man I loved this video too!! Super informative Chris!! Thank you
What is the the name of the boot from Ariat?
where do you get them
I work for UPS, thing I hate is once your done (early) you have to help other drivers with their packages.
Why is that a problem? More money bozo

Ya i just wear black breathable shoes, during summer months and UPS proper footwear during the winter months. I'm from UPS 4045 Ottawa East, Canada

Might check out those goruck’s
I am gonna try the Viktos boots to try them out, i used some rhino boots for $49.00 very good and reliable boots but terrible for hot weather.

Hello Chris, how are things going with UPS? I am starting training on Monday. This video was extremely helpful!
You should do a review for the best backpack/cooler
Nice whoop strap

I was told my keens were no good because of the rubber on the toe. Technically a hiking boot. I just complied and busted out the red wings
Had the Danner boots, for the uniform check and the guy said it will fail cause of the bottom color. It has to be solid color.
No way. That is crazy.
What do you think of the Thursday diplomat or captain?
Very good video Chris on boots keep them coming!
Wow, this video is really well edited and informative, Chris! I'm so glad you're doing so well on RUclips!
Did you post that comment before you even watched the video all the way through?

Can you do another video on how to eat healthy while on route?
I'll think about it
Meal prep.

Did/do you have to work as a loader sometimes?
I'm been driving for 28 years and my first advice is be organized the second don't get desperate third CYA "cover your ass".
you need waterproof hiking boots.
Tips on not rolling ankles?
Head lamps, three points of contact and watch where you step.
