My first and so far only digitakt II jam. Only loaded about 50 samples so far on it and have been more than happy just playing around with this little jam.
A few things on the new box have taken a while to get used to, mainly due to my muscle memory with the original DT working against me. I feel like it's starting to click a bit more now.
Looking forward to more jamming.
Thanks for watching.

Hey, thank you.
Damnn, wonderful track… it brought a positive reminder to the forefront of my mind to live everyday like it’s your last as tomorrow isn’t guaranteed
What a nice comment...thank you very much!
Nice to hear from ya!
Hey, thank you! Likewise!
Really pretty!
Also, I love how you used the included poster as a backdrop.
Thanks, it seemed like the appropriate thing to do! 🙂
This legit the best track I’ve heard made on the DT 🙇🏻
Hey thanks a lot, that's very kind of you to say.
Quickly becoming one of my favourite digitakt accounts. Would love a workflow video
You mean I wasn't already? 😛
Thanks a lot. All I can say to the workflow video is maybe but not yet.
Lovely & soothing as always
Appreciated as always!
I enjoyed this a lot.
Good to hear, thank you!
Exceptional, this sounds so nice on headphones!
That's good to hear, I mixed it all on headphones! Thank you!
Beautiful track! 🤩🙌 DT2 is in the right hands. 😊
Ha thank you, I’ll try my best with it!
So, I only have a very small handful of RUclips songs that I actually love with all my heart. This is no. 4. Thank you 🙏 ❤
That’s really nice of you, thank you!
Can I ask what the other 3 are?

Thank you, a full song is what I was hoping for.
Really beautiful track. Thank you.
Thank you. I really enjoyed the DT2 video of yours I saw. How are you finding it?

Absolutely stunning

Mellow. I like it. Thanks for playing. :)
Cheers :)
Wow! Beautifully done.
Hey! Thanks a lot!
Another lovely composition...calming, understated, and full of texture. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for giving it watch/listen and for the kind words!
Wow! lovely voices!
This machine is a dream, and you take out the best of it.
Thank you but I've only had it 2 minutes, I've not even scratched the surface of what it can do.
fantastic work.
Appreciated, thank you.
Adorable chords and sound design. Great to see the DT2 in your hands.🎶✌️
It's great to have the DT2 in my hands! Thank you!
so good as always
thanks for giving it a listen!
This one definitely reminds me of your Jamuary this year! Great work. 😄
Ha Jamuary seems a lifetime ago! Thank you 🙂
beautiful!
Thank you!
Glad to see you using the dt2. I wanted to hear some inspiring music before deciding to buy it vs. getting the original used on the cheap.
Thank you! So have you made a decision?
@sadlantis There is a guy not too far from where I live selling a dt2 "used" but basically new because he's having a hard time with the workflow/learning curve. If he can reasonably discount it, I will likely buy it. I was planning on going to a synth expo in a few weeks. Elektron is one of the vendors that will be present.
very nice!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great stuff!
Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful track
Thank you :)
Ooooo yum great job ❤
Ha, yum is not a comment I expected to get on this vid. Thanks though!
good to see you grab one! you're the reason I bought one this week :) going through tutorials right now
I am? wow. How are you getting on? Did you already have a DT1 or any other elektron boxes?
@@sadlantis haha yeah - I really enjoyed your monthly grooves. Nope! brand new to it all 😅
Thanks! I hope you find it as fun and inspiring as I do. Enjoy!
impressive
Appreciated, thank you.
Very nice!
Thanks a lot!
Lovely ❤
Cheers!
❤
Thank you!
10/10
Thank you but it's only my first jam with it, let's not get carried away 😛
I was excited to see you scooped the DT2! I'm honestly not sure what's changed in the workflow (besides the longer page/step count?). This sounds great though and I'm looking forward to what will come next!
Thanks, I was so excited to get it! There's nothing majorly different to the workflow (at least not in the way I use it) but more tracks, more memory and stereo samples made it an instant buy.

This is very nice 🤌🏼
Thank you very much!
Dig it!
Good to hear! cheers!
Very pretty
Thank you :)
Well Damn….. Sub’d! 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciated, thank you 🙂
Prince vibe.
Ha, now you’ve said that I can see what you mean! I never would have made that connection myself.
Listening to some of your videos, the stereo in this last video is notable. I would like to know in addition to that if there is something that makes it worth the change. I just received mine from Amazon and I'm still unsure whether to use it or return it untouched. The thing is, I have the 1 which I had planned to sell and keep the 2.
Apart from the stereo thing the main things for me that make it worth the change are having 20 times the memory on the +drive and having twice the number of audio tracks. And also having more space for samples in each project.
But those things might not be important to you. I personally found that I was constantly running out of tracks or memory on the original.
I'm guessing you have an original digitakt? Was it the stereo that tempted you to order?
@@sadlantis Thanks for your answer. STEREO, More space to load sounds in the project and have 16 Tracks. That's what made me buy 2. Basically I want to create Rhythm and Groove Bases and then pass it to my Daw. I'm an Ableton user and I get along well with Drum Rack but I also like DIGITAKT.
@@nakiradams Sorry, I missed the part of your original comment where you said you had the 1. Looks like we were attracted by the same things then.
Why are you now unsure?
are you happy so far? I'm used to hearing what you make with the DT and this seems to have stepped up the quality of the sound quite a bit, unsure if it's the stereo samples only or, as EZBOT said, the 2 seems to just sound much better. Either way, a great jam/track/musicalthingy 🤍🤍
Well maybe it's just my digitakt skills that have stepped up? 😛
It could be a combination of stereo samples and the DT2 sounding better anyway.
Honestly, I wasn't sure if I even liked it at first. It seemed like some of the things from the original DT got moved and changed for no apparent reason.
Now, after only a couple of week it feels weird to back to the original (and that screen now seems super yellow!).
I've been slowly been making my way through EZBOT's DT2 vid when I've had a few minutes spare, it's really good so far.
Thanks for the kind words!
Beautifull composition. Stereo samples make the soundstage bigger here.
Thank you! Yeah, for me stereo samples alone make the upgrade worth it.
More please
I'm on it.
@@sadlantis 🙏
Im curious if anyone has produced commercial material and done well using this type of kit? or do they always revert to DAWs in the end, it just seems so painful to get things going with MPC type boxes.. Over tried them all, and to get a full song going is 'tough' and slow...
Use what works for you. The magic is in you, not the gear.
Personally I find it quicker and more fun to make a song on the digitakt than in a DAW. Plus I come up with stuff I never would have using a DAW. If you find you work better in a DAW than on an MPC or whatever then good for you. Like the other comment says you've got to find what works best for you.
