I wonder if the pop @ 3:42 was the ring and pinion. Sounded pretty loud and really loaded the rear axle going up at that speed with those tires. I was worried that would happen to me out there this year so I grannied it up everything. 4:1 T-case probably helped a bunch.
I was thinking the same thing, the links have been making some noise for a while so it was hard to tell the difference! But I definitely thing it was partially broken before it popped!
