I am from Tustin. If I was actually living at "home" right now I would demand to meet up to see this thing in action!! LOL Aloha, from Big Island Hawaii for now!
Congrats! Im sure you will enjoy this outstanding machine . Got mine a few weeks back and absolutely love it. Ground clearance for the camera is a bit tight on grass so get your hoodman launch pad ready!
Bill... got mine yesterday, flew today for the first time...wow.. what a bird. what a camera! i have the station, but no SSD card... I went with 6 batteries, got those, ordered anther controller that is back ordered, I cant wait to see your footage and your thoughts on settings and details.. thanks!
Guess what I got today? my second controller, and if you were wondering where is the foam insert for the DJI case for the second controller, its comes with the second controller.
It is definitely an investment, if I didn't have work in the pipeline and know that this would help grow my business I wouldn't be making the investment.
both 2k and 2.7k are not really standards that customers ask for. They want more common resolutions (there aren't 2.7K tv screens). I will shoot in 2.7K though as it gives me flexibility for editing.
I'm using Win 7 Chrome/IE. I've been trying to get the CinemaDNG license from DJI for threehours. After five reps, I still can't get it. I first tried to purchase the CineSSD and Station with the CinemaDNG license. When I chose the CinemaDNG license ($1000) and entered my info, but the cart defaults to the $1300 DNG/ProRes license. The Customer Service reps in CHAT (they're bots aren't they???) said it was a browser error so I tried in Chrome and IE - SAME PROBLEM. I dumped the temp files - same problem. It's a DJI website problem. Then I gave up and purchased the CineSSD and Station at DroneNerds. It took about five minutes. They informed me that I had to buy the license from DJI. I returned to DJI and odered the CinemaDNG license. After reporting my I2 serial, the cart defaulted back to the $1300 DNG/ProRes license! I recontacted CHAT and got another Bot. "MJ" said that I had to purchase the license along with either an SSD or Station. I cancllend my DroneNerd order and returned to DJI. SAME PROBLEM!!! The DJI service reps talk like BOTS. I closed and flushed my browsers... The customer service bots keep telling me to buy the $1300 license. I tried another computer - a Mac - same problem. HELP!!!
Have you tried calling on the phone? Sounds like you found some loop they didn't think of, what a pain. In my opinion though skip the CinemaDNG (unless you are a PC user) and stick to just the ProRes
I'm not sure if you have yet (because I'm a new subscriber) but I think it would be useful for you to do a video on how to get a commercial drone license (TSA vetting, etc.) and the main drone laws. Great Video!
you mentioned clients. assuming you have your part 107, are there any other precautions I should take before starting up a drone photography business? I'm asking if there is anything you wish you would have known before starting, and things to consider going into it. thanks.
Lots of things to do - Do a SWOT analysis, Strength, Weakness Opportunity and Threats to evaluate you, your business and everything you can Make sure you have good insurance, and that it covers what you need it to (I personally recommend speaking with the folks at Hiscox, they are amazing) Make sure you keep your books in order from day one don't make investments just to keep up, if it isn't going to make you more money, or you don't NEED it, don't buy it do a thorough analysis of your Cost of Doing Business or Cost of Good Sold. This will help you in determining what you charge. I know I am only going to "work" about 60-70 days a year, I need to make sure I charge appropriately. lots to consider, those are some basics.
BillNicholsTV I was thinking about insurance, do the corporations you work with require anything specific, like liability stuff. Thanks for your other answer, very helpful
Nice I like it.. I been flying my p4 for a wile.. can't wait to see more videos on the i2. I would like to see a comparisons between the P4pro an the i2
16 months in - 1) great great equipment, no problems with it, now using it with the cendence controller and crystal sky, love it 2) quality is absolutely fantastic 3) goes without saying but not as convenient as just breaking out the Phantom 4 Pro or the Mavic. 4) if I had to do it over, I would buy it again. It paid for itself on the first I used it on and has many times over. All in all I don’t have a single regret buying it. I would like to see DJI bring the new Apple ProRes raw to the X5s and not just X7. At this price point nothing comes close, and with the X7 addition nothing comes close for many multiples in cost.
Thanks mate. I just purchased one. I got the X5s package with the CrystalSky, Cendence, ProRes and Cine licences. It arrives in a couple of days. I can't wait to see what I can create with it. Ps I love your reviews.
Was it the package you ordered that made it take so long to get it? E-bay and Amazon have several vender's that have Inspire 2's in stock. Looks pretty bad ass and they fly well over sixty MPH, I'd love to have one.
I recently purchased the p4p and installed the new firmware, I was in contact with DJI while doing so and they said my drone did not accept the firmware and I needed to return the drone and get one that would accept it. WHAT?!?! How am I supposed to know which drone will / will not accept the firmware that they designed for it? Please help
Hi bill, my friends and I are thinking about starting our own drone services in Erie county. Roughly how much do you make on monthly to yearly bases. We are looking at the numbers and our market trying to figure out if it's worth it. Also how did you approach your clients in order to get contacts with cooperation etc. thank you p.s love your videos
Celestin Abwe hi Celestin - sorry that's not something that I am going to openly discuss with someone I don't know (how much I make) I will likely do some content in the future on how I get my clients though. There is no secret to it, I pick up the phone, I send books of my work (because no one does that any longer) and I maintain consistent frequent contact with companies I want to work with. Any given month I will talk with or propose work for anywhere between 100-250 companies. Easily 1/3 of my time is lead generation. It's all in the hustle and how much effort you are willing to put in. In some weeks I will spend 20+ hours on just the relationship piece with my customers.
Thanks for the great video. Who did you buy the drone from? Also - why did you get the premium package? If I buy the regular package can I upgrade at some point? Thanks!
I bought from SkyBossDrones.com - I had an Inspire Pro before and wanted the best imagery I could get, with the X5S 5.2K and 4K in Raw or ProRes is an option. You can buy with the X4S to start and later but the X5S and then later add the software license keys to record in CinemaDNG or ApplePro Res or both.
I work with real estate investment trusts and am generally working on projects that are campuses (biomed, lifescience, hospital, etc) that are 1 Million square feet or more.
awesome video, a little long though. also I am very interested in what you do for a living outside of RUclips. Can you maybe make a video or explain to me? Thanks! keep it up!
BillNicholsTV pictures aren't measured in frames per second because it is a still image. The camera has 20.8 mp camera, maybe what you meant was that it has the ability to burst 20 frames per second.
You just said the same thing, and yes we photographers do say frames per second, my 1DX MKII shoots 12frames / second. We ave said frames per second since the beginning of motor drives on film based still cameras.
hardly anybody cares about 5.2k anyways gee; most things are still catching up to 4k and i know for a fact that 70% of people dont even know what 4k is yet; how do i know that cause im in their homes everyday; lets see 180 service calls a month so yea; who cares about 5.2k
That's a serious drone
Great video Bill. Can't wait to see the footage!
I am from Tustin. If I was actually living at "home" right now I would demand to meet up to see this thing in action!! LOL

That camera is right on the ground, I point the camera up before take off, picked up the 5' Hoodman for this.
As you’ve said, the cost for storage post filming is something that adds up the higher res you go.
Congrats on the new Inspire, just got my P4P, loving it so far
Thanks - the P4P is great, it is my primary backup - Im sure you're enjoying yours!

congrats Bill! Can't wait for your first flight vid!
It is up now - more to come
Congratulations !
What, no trolley handle for that case?!?!
:D

Controllers are likely going to be on back order for some time.

Happy days, Bill.
You too Ron
I love all the DJI stuff
If only this drone didn't cost more than my car...
It is definitely an investment, if I didn't have work in the pipeline and know that this would help grow my business I wouldn't be making the investment.

Such an amazing AC... I just can't justify the cost
Bill, you mentioned you deliver most of your product in 1080 or in 4K, why does it seem like no pros utilize 2K or 2.7K video?
both 2k and 2.7k are not really standards that customers ask for. They want more common resolutions (there aren't 2.7K tv screens). I will shoot in 2.7K though as it gives me flexibility for editing.
I think the battery hub actually charges all batteries at the same time.
I'm using Win 7 Chrome/IE. I've been trying to get the CinemaDNG license from DJI for threehours. After five reps, I still can't get it.

so so awesome very nice.
My cousin’s mom is getting me this

Look for part 107 videos, a bunch of info
Great unboxing Bill. Cant wait to see the footage although at 5k I think your computer will be gasping for air, I must start saving lol.
Great video. Thanks for the info. I've got one on order.
Awesome - love your brothers music (haha)
You know, I might be related.
great vid u have given me something to think about and will prob order one ..
Nice Mike - I'll be posting some sample footage (without the CineSSD) tomorrow, so you guys have something to see there.
That would be great i have the inspire 1 and p4p and would love to see some photage..specially stills as that is my priority
you mentioned clients. assuming you have your part 107, are there any other precautions I should take before starting up a drone photography business? I'm asking if there is anything you wish you would have known before starting, and things to consider going into it. thanks.

Yes they do - generally 1-2 million in liability and E&O - my policy is very flexible and needs to be so I can payees, covered entities, etc.

I would like to see a comparisons between the P4pro an the i2

Super very nice explain
Hi Bill, It's 16 months since you purchased the I2. What are your impressions now?
16 months in -
1) great great equipment, no problems with it, now using it with the cendence controller and crystal sky, love it
2) quality is absolutely fantastic
3) goes without saying but not as convenient as just breaking out the Phantom 4 Pro or the Mavic.

Is the extra cost of 5.2 k worth it cf 4K? Seems a lot for little gain for a newby.
Was it the package you ordered that made it take so long to get it? E-bay and Amazon have several vender's that have Inspire 2's in stock. Looks pretty bad ass and they fly well over sixty MPH, I'd love to have one.
Joe Cat they are just now getting in stock (past couple weeks) mine came 2 weeks ago, I was traveling when to arrived
Gotcha. Waiting for its first flight vid.
know more about the new DJI inspire and other product about DJI

WHAT?!?! How am I supposed to know which drone will / will not accept the firmware that they designed for it? Please help
that sounds crazy, and for some reason not surprising.

Ah - so the better camera is what you get with the Premium package?
OR can you buy the regular package with the X5S camera? Not sure I need the 5.2k vid

Love all your videos (Big Fan) I shoot wedding's with my p4 no pro. Are you doing commercial real estate or High end properties ?
I work with real estate investment trusts and am generally working on projects that are campuses (biomed, lifescience, hospital, etc) that are 1 Million square feet or more.
Hi, I love the content you produce on your channel! What is the song you used for your intro?
what kind of drums do you play?
I live in close quarters to other people so I have a Roland setup
what do you use to edit videos. as in equipment?
What would you charge for 10 photos
I think the props are bigger than my mavic 2 pro
Did you reaaally bought a 24k $ drone? OMG
Why would you buy a second controller?
Dual operators - one person fly's the Inspire while the other is controlling the cinematographer
How can i make money with photography if you dont mind me asking
Did not watch the whole thing yet. Mine comes Friday. Did not want to spoil it for myself.
haha - so what did you think when you got yours?
The build quality is far better than the Inspire 1 pro. It is awesome.
awesome video, a little long though. also I am very interested in what you do for a living outside of RUclips. Can you maybe make a video or explain to me? Thanks! keep it up!
It was a bit long, I am a photographer / film maker, and I work in software.
Pushpa
Lol he said the pictures are 20 frames per second but it's a picture...
+maclover4321 yes, the Inspire can shoot stills at 20fps - not sure what you didn't understand there

Get a 2tb ssd!!
The only problem is once it crashes, you just wasted a tons of your money.
OMG...All I want is the spark.....
How the f*ck do you afford this?????
2 times expensive than my car 😂
no white drones... yes.. music to my ears... also no white controllers either..
You are Talking Lot of things Plss Do your video like simple okk👍 But it's good

Jason n for delivery, sure, for post production purposes like stabilization, reframing, etc it is used widely
