Tip for steering on the controller: Hold the left stick forward and in a semi circle move it left to right depending which way you're turning for smoother steering.
So hold it up when you turn?

TIP: TRY TO USE THE CURBS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
- sometimes you don’t go wide enough and try to go as wide as possible without going off track because if you do that you won’t lose as much speed because ur driving smoother
- also try less of the flicking left to right of the analogue stick because flicking increases tyre wear so hold up on the stick against the top and when Turning curve around the top so push against the top when going left and right.
-Also don’t retire from sessions! GO INTO THE PITS WHEN YOUR FINISHED
In some corners if you get the wheel locked on the curb it can slingshot you round the corner, I do it on this track
Unless you’re Mercedes you should stay off the curb your sensors will get damaged

THE BASICS TO LEARN: When you're in practice of qualifying you can go into the pits press X and when the screen shows up you can press X again to speed up time. Pressing X once time will speed up time by 5, press twice time will speed up by 10 and three times will speed up by 30. Use DRS every chance you get and in the opening lap of the race use Overtake mode. Try not to use the hard tyres because it is the slowest tire and before you start a race press X again to see your strategy. If you look down you can also see the amount of feul you will use. Always try to bring that down. Finally you have three feul modes. 1. Lean. This will help you regain a bit of feul but will also slow you down in the straights. 2. Standard. This will burn feul but not to much and is still fast. 3. Rich. Rich mix makes you go very fast and is really helpful to try and overtake but it burns feul very fast.

Speeding up the qualifying sessions makes the ai go faster so avoid if possible

USEFUL TIPS.
- look at f1 forums for car setups for each track, it makes a huge difference
- if your front wing takes too much damage (press B for MFD) you need to pit
- braking early > braking late, slow in and fast out
- you need to up the difficulty in settings, as a new team you should be right at the back of the grid as tempting as it might seem.

Also he should not be so afraid to get on the exit kerbs so you don't lose as much speed and when you qualify only do one lap cause the tires you do the lap on you start the race with so less laps means less tire wear and so they will last longer in the race

Or just use the Steam workshop for setups, or look for Tom97 or TRL Limitless for setups

when steering on a pad, hold the stick forward and turn it side to side rather than just moving it right and left as it makes it feel more natural to turn

Yes plz help this comment blow up for him to see it. The point of holding the stick up is to have flow with the racing line. Say it only turns a little bit, you can keep holding up and move it slightly left or right. The same thing goes with medium steering and hard steering around hairpins. It’s also all about hitting the apex so using this method can help a lot.

I would recommend for you to get a steering wheel
Hey josh love the series hopefully there is many more videos to come, I have a few tips. To learn abit more about the my team and maximise it I would recommend watching other you tubers, arrava or tiametmarduk also have helpful series. Other tips include use overtake on the straights when coming of corners to give yourself a good boost of the corners. Drs will also be activated at the same spot each lap provides you are one second behind other drivers. Other than that I love this game glad to see you enjoying it

Lando busy as they got 7 consecutive races. With debriefs and traveling.
I recommend a thrustmasters wheel, although the price in 300€, the wheel is a lot better as it’s made out of rubber sticking to the hands, while as a Logitech is made out of leather, making yours hand slip at the first drop of sweat. The buttons are also a lot better placed on the thrustmasters wheel

Mason Greenwoods Dynamite yeah it’s very good just watch a few vids from aarav or Tiametmarduk etc to get familiarised, wheel costs a lot of money but controller is actually slightly faster on this years game so just stick with controller for now

i recomend watching some aarava or f1 tutorials to know how to perform the best in the cars and get an idea what the top f1 gamers play like
You need to get the difficulity higher because you should start with coming maybe top 15-20 on average so yeah make it harder

I love f1 and I’ve always wanted any of the sidemen to play the game
Advice: Work on developing your reliability and Aero at the beginning of the season. Start the beginning of the race in rich mode and do your best to gap the driver behind by a second before 2 laps are complete. Pay attention to the gaps between the driver in front and behind. This will allow you to defend from the driver behind with DRS or use your DRS to attack the driver in front.
Be careful on your out laps from the pits but try to run rich fuel to do an undercut on your competitors. I would recommend doing an undercut strategy for pit stop since you are running mid pack. This will give you clean air on your outlap go put in some fast laps. If you're confident on saving your tyres you could undercut by 2 laps to try and have more clean air to set quicker times.
When qualifying, if youre out for a 2 lap run and your second lap is slower than your first, dont complete the lap. Dive into the pits so you have more time to go back out instead of having to complete a cool down lap and waste more.
Next advice comes from a racer standpoint. Ive always been told throughout my karting career, you can't win the race in first lap or corner. Its true. Im not gomna say dont attack on the start but take it easy. Don't force an overtake. You have 15 laps to complete a pass!

Helpful tips though: “Steering isn’t that great” - Invest in a wheel, it’s HEAVILY worth it, even pedals if you’re feeling wild!
Also, I beg you watch/learn from tutorials and other such things. There’s so much to learn for a newcomer!
And josh, I know it’s tempting to want to win, but having your difficultly so low really won’t help you in any way. You want to be battling with similar cars, not the ferraris and red bulls
Although the only reason you caught and passed Albon and Ricciardo is because Jeff said over the radio, “Albon has a problem” - although I guess you missed that, and Ricciardo was just struggling to overtake
