hello doctor i have high myopia and i had ICL 10yrs ago my right eye is okay but left eye i hve a problem i have choroidal neovascularization i had 6 injections now but honestly no progress specially central vision is there something wrong? this happened to me after having a baby when i was carrying him all the time on my left hand too much strain and i think it affected my left eye also i feel this covid vaccine has an effect as well
I was just diagnosed in my left eye.....I don't smoke drink or do drugs. There is no cure as of right now just like there is no cure for cancer. I wish they would hurry and find a permanent solution to remedy this unfortunate diagnosis too many people in the USA are diagnosed with this every year 😢
@@deborahdavis2329 can you please tell me more about this? Where can I learn more about reversing macular degeneration with vitamin D? Dosage etc. Thank you so much.
I'm sorry to say but all eye Drs. that I have been to in the last 30s have done nothing but make my eyes worse. I am now 78 and hopefully, I can see well enough to have a decent life in the coming yrs.
In my opinion, it was a terrible, terrible presentation. I think there is compelling and overwhelming evidence that vegetable oils are the major players in this disease. I'm not an eye doctor. It's beyond my compression that you would not be aware of this.
Thabk you doctor. Do only sunglasses have uv protection? I went an optical shop and ask them whether they have no prescription glasses with uv protection. They use a pen which they say produce uv light and test it with polychrome glass to prove that the glasses are uv protected. Is it possible for glasses which are not sunglasses to have uv protection? Another shops even state that all their glasses have uv protection ( I mean not sunglasses)
Thanks for information, I was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration 13years ago,in my right eye ,left eye is good,i have been researching and have tried different vitamins, I also have cataracts and dieing cells in my cornea, getting injections of aylea,so far so good, vision is stable enough to do my daily activities and drive, now trying can -c eye drops and vitamins i am 81 year's of age.
I am nearsighted and my regular (non tinted) glasses have UV protection or so I'm told. I have an age-related problem with contrast and don't like glasses with a heavy tint. I also wear a brimmed hat when outdoors. Is this good enough?
sunglassed get ones w polarized AND UV protection too. Polarized glasses help so much.. soothe comfort yur eyes in bright sunlight only help add to block out bad harmful rays. imo think they much better extra protection feel better too. Dr do u use like polarized sunglasses? surprised u did not mention it really great vids and channel !!
They say that seed oils are not good for us. im 71 yrs old with dry macula degeneration, and my eyes are always dry, but yet my dr told me to use Refresh Optive MEGA-3 lubricant drops,, when i read the ingredients on the box it says contains "flax seed oil". I dont want to use those drops because of that seed oil which i feel would not be helping my macular degeneration. I didnt bring it up with Dr because I fear he may say to me " do i think I know more than him?" I appreciate any reply you may give me about this, Thank you,
Flax seed oil in artificial tears is intended to replenish the lipid layer of the tear film, and it does not affect macular degeneration. You can learn more about dry eye drop ingredients in this video 👉Dry Eye Drops Ingredients - Explained by Eye Surgeon ruclips.net/video/eR2kDuP-BTU/видео.html
Great advice. I'm 80 years old this year and have no signs of MD while every other female for the last 2 generations of my family has it. Probably because I have always insisted on eating my veggies and wearing sunglasses.
My mother, who followed four of the five recommendations, but seldom wore sunglasses or a hat, went blind in both eyes from macular degeneration. Is it that simple, who knows…
Thank GOD you did not say avoid pizza and red wine which I am having tonight. LOL. I am losing my eyesight at age 72. Not funny. I am trying to change. We all die. How many really live? I have Dry AMD for 5yrs now and I have prevented it's progress by taking Eye Nutrients and doing Eye Exercises every day and it's stopped it's progress. I also do the recommended practices mentioned here also.
@bluerayfrequency7335 You do a lot of eye rolls, ups and downs, and corner to corner in groups . It doesn't matter the movements. You just do a lot of them many times a day. It's a little hard to coordinate when you begin this practice, but it gets easier. It gets easier and you must do a lot daily. I wish you well.
@@jamescrawford9643 Thank You so much for taking the time to reply. Just diagnosed both eyes. Any other tips? Best supplements, Best sunglasses? Sorry to ask, scouring FB, and other materials, I just prefer personal experience.
Use singular nutrients, not multiple ones. I take 20mg lutein 2xs daily along with vita-A only once a day along with 50mg of zinc. I have used Bilberry also, and it comes highly recommended. Take a lot of bilberry and you obtain great night vision. Google for eye nutrients, and you'll get a list of credible eye health nutrients! Google for eye exercises to do day in and day out in large repetitions. They get easy to do and you can do them almost anywhere. Taking a daily 30min walk is positive in eye preservation also. This has been working for me for quite a while. My Eye Doc sez keep it up, and getting shots for it is a last resort. Good luck!
Had an eye exam for loss of peripheral vision due to stroke, and they never said anything about seeing any macular degeneration, but I have definite signs. Why didnt they detect anything abbormal

The biggest thing from what I have learned and I have researched eye health and the retina, macula optic nerve,, etc for years. Eating veggies and fruit. I drink carrot juice ,,you can buy it or just eat lots of colorful vegetables and fruit. Yellow, orange and red mini bell peppers or whole. Mangos, Blueberries,, green leafy (kale, spinach) less screen time. I didn't realize how much screentime is bad for the eyes. Also just continue to learn as much as you can on you tube ,,Google. There are supplements that are good for eye health, but you need to make sure the eye vitamin company your buying from is legit/reputable. My best unsolicited advice--- keep learning ,, learn and research as much as you can.
I am sorry Dr Tai, but I must let you know this. I have been suffering from AMD, for the last 2 Years, and I go to one of the best eye clinics in Switzerland, with very experienced Doctors, My eyes get tested every three months, and I have injections of Lucentis, when necessary. Never has any of the Doctors advised me to eat any special diets, or vitamins, when I ask the cause of this ailment, they just say we don't know, it just comesI from old age. I might just add, my wife and I, have been married for 63 years now,and we have both eaten the same food. I have AMD, my blue eyed wife hasn't, explain that to me.

Multivitamins have problems when the ingredients compete for the same pathway and one negates the other.
