The TPM chip that's paired with the board must be paired to another component an eprom maybe? Can you do a side quest to see if you can find the matching component and swap both over from a board with known working ones? Just a thought back from my decoding vuaxhall radios and displays.
You should swap out the power supply on the ps5. Although it might be the tpm chip, it could simply be a faulty power supply that’s not delivering enough voltage for boot. The speed at which it switches off, makes me lean towards a power fault, rather than the tpm; because it’s not staying on long enough to actually be going through a boot cycle. Safer to try swapping out the power supply, than losing money on a simple fix.
If there was a way to dump the data from the TPM chip you could potentially flash it to a new one. With it being a TPM chip I’m sure it’s encrypted though.
my reworking station, the air turns off if the handle is upside down... that makes it difficult in alot of things that require the back to be heated for me
Spent some time in the uk, 91-93. Best time of my life, btw. Snooker clubs and donair kebabs, and yes I’ll say it, hash. Life was badass. But I never got the pronunciation of “H”. I picked up on a lot of words after 2 years just to communicate as I was a guest in your country. But H, I never understood. Sorry to bother you
do love the ps4 stil i have one and picked up one more the other day off ebay for £65 with a 2tb ssd so was a great deal was just a console only but i have got lots of controllers here i have fixed over the years
Another thing you’re not taking into account is the killer fees that eBay charges. After the fees, it’s impossible to make any type of profit on eBay. This is the reason eBay is failing while many other online businesses are thriving.
I have a xbox1X was under warranty over covid but couldn't return it then when I could they said they didn't have parts and wouldn't exchange it...won't turn on lightning struck close hasn't worked since nothing 😢
Yay, minus because of the faulty TPM! Shame you can't actually swap TPM's, because pairing the TPM to the board means you can't fix the console, and the console becomes a donor console only...
just a lil info from my experience with PlayStation and Xbox consoles more and more ppl these days are moving away from console in favor of a good gaming PC because they can easily be upgraded instead of having to buy a complete system and i have used a PC for gaming for the last 40 years and have only bought 3 PCs in my life and only had to upgrade video cards and ram plus the price of gaming PCs are coming down yet the cost of new consoles stay high so the used console market is dwindling mostly because they restrict you from playing any new games after the unit is 2-3 years old and they expect ppl to just go out and buy the newest model which is what my friends son did and after upgrading to the x box series x he realized it wasn't much of an upgrade it was slightly faster loading games and let him play the newer games but i think he felt a bit ripped off after buying it because it was only about 3 months later that he got a gaming PC and has not touched the xbox since lol i think that's why NorthRidgeFix repairs so many video cards
Joey, anyway your spreadsheet is not accurate because you need to put in also the electricity you consuming to fix the items because also the electricity is a cost to fix the items then also the usage of the tools you need to take in consideration as well

How hard would it be to hack such basic electronics ?
paired to APU. APU is also paired to the 3 SSD Chips and disc Drive Chip.

Love these vids. You got an wicked good understanding of electriconics for still learning. Better than some avionics techs I’ve worked with
Can you do a video on your recording set up. What micro scope do you use and how do you record with it.
You could use a COUNTIF formula on the episode column of the spreadsheet to have it auto calculate
13:41 Oh, by looking at your reaction, that must've been painful 😢.
Whyyyyyyyyy wouldn't you try swapping the PS5 power supply? I know you have some!
Bless you Joey x2
National drop day? You and TheCod3r dropped a tool. Strange. 😀 One out of 2 ain't bad. Great Repair, Attempt, and Video JDT! Thanks
Lovely, so when can we get the JDT foil stickers from your Munbyn 😁

From experience, Doing local ps5 repairs and Nintendo switch mods is extremely profitable.
Great content. Can you try to fix a broken Dj controller?
excellent video joey I would like to see you trying fix YLOD PS3 fats. I would be great.
Just a quick question for you. How much would it be to get a switch from you, shipped to portland oregon u.s.a?
Joey, what is the air flow speed of your sneezes?!
should always check the firmware on broken PS4s
the ones that are exploitable can sell for a bit more
Great video again but eBay doesn’t charge fees?!😭
bless yu joey!

The PS4 was a nice and straight port swap. The PS5 on the other hand.. what a pitty..
What happened with the last Friday's video? Are u planning to upload it again?
Another great video but 176 for ps5 digital way too expensive . Can get a working one for 225 - 250 ish
I'd say 150 max to buy faulty one
176 is so so expensive, they are 6 years old now so a console like this with the sticker should cost like 130-150 not more
He doesn’t buy working ones. He fixes them
If he can sell it for 250 then that's a 74 gross profit.. which is the point of profit or loss.
He compared the price of a working one with a faulty one. He didn't say that joey buys working ones lol.
These fixers are paying top dollar for junk, prices are crazy right now on broken laptops too

How do people wreck so many HDMI ports? Surely you plug it in once and leave it alone?

Hi joey
I would like to buy a switch for my girlfriend and have it posted to belgium is it possible ? I will pay the postage ofc !
Thx
tough luck with that PS5 :(
I get wanting to recover money spent but why sell it in the known unfixable state and risk your EBay rating taking a hit on INAD
He lists them as not working for parts, and I believe he also indicates the exact issue when he knows it.
16:26 aren't you working on a ps5? why bring up the ps4 lmao
Because he worked on a ps4 earlier in the video and was saying it was a tool made in the past lmao
@@ItsBulletman but he was saying he's only used it on ps5s implying he was gonna use it on a ps4
@CrashFan03 or he's referring to his past experience?
@@ItsBulletman "i've only used it on the ps5" when he's working on another ps5
@CrashFan03 yes... and he's saying UART was made when the ps4 was in circulation.. also, it's been updated.. for the ps5. What are you confused about?
Is selling a console with a irreparable fault for £150 a bit of a scam???
Just a question, not a criticism.
Not if you're honest about it and Joey is, you buy knowing it'll be a donor console.
Attempt 24 of asking Joey for his Fluke Multimeter

I'm so amazed old people still want disc version to use disc to play :D
Maybe because “old people” think rational and want to be able to sell a game after done with it. Not so easy with a digital game.
