    I loved this band so much and would listen to them from 1994-1997 here in the States. Their sound is brilliant and timeless, indeed.

    England put some fabulous bands between 1988 and 1997. Glad I was there, discovering and introducing friends to these bands.

    1995! that was one fucking long hot summer, went to my first ever festival (Reading) my mum cryed when she picked me up, me and my mate looked so stoned!

    I made them came in Dijon (really, i use to work for a radio) after being at Reading 94'.They played in a nightclub called at the time "L'An-Fer"

    Thats me bobbing up n down, marion white t shirt on. Just remember it being fuckin roasting hot. Verve stole the show though 4 me that year. Happy days

      S.M. Butterscotch: Except for the band phoning it in. Rick looks positively bored, just sitting by the drums during the solo. I wasn't there, so I can only imagine it was more exciting in the flesh.

    Sorry to say that is lazy guitar playing, It needed a cleaner sound, distortion is coming from the sheer volume of sound you're putting out. Playing the melody with a flourish that type of thing. I think they eventually got this right, but by then it was too late. Brit Pop is fairly fickle.

      It's not "lazy playing" in the slightest - they'd just put out their first record the previous year. Odds-on Paul had bought that JCM900 Hi-Gain Reverb behind him with their advance and was still figuring out how to get the best out of it.
