Hi Yogi! This gentle & restorative Postnatal Yoga for Stress, Anxiety, Tension & PPD routine has hip openers and positions close to the mat to help you relax, release tension and practice observing your thoughts. ▶︎ POSTNATAL YOGA PLAYLIST: bit.ly/SBYpostnatal 💙
Dear Sarah, thank you SO much for this video! My son is now 10 weeks old and this was my first practice since giving birth. I had an unplanned sectio and am struggeling with the effects it had on my body. It felt very emotional to just breath and feel the body and the tension. Sending sunlight and all the best!
This really works mentally and physically. I had leg pain and should pain after birth and this practice made the pain much less. Also got my sanity back after feeling down after spending my energy in entertaining my baby and pushing my middle school son during the shelter in place period. Thank you!
This felt so good and is exactly what I needed. Thank you SaraBeth! I was always drawn to your videos whenever I search for short, feel-good yoga videos since I was pregnant. I didn't even know they both belonged to you! Thanks so much!
Hi Sarah Beth, I may have said this already... this is one of my personal TOP videos you've made. Routine, voice/words, music, tone/volume, length/poses, all: 👍👍❤.
Thank you ! After my cesarean like you always do motivated and encouraged me to start Yoga. I have managed to do my first day of a yoga and today my second - I feel exquisite, liberated and a little more confident everyday.
I *love* how you start all of you videos with, "Hey momma!" Your voice is so incredibly soothing and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy and loved :) Also, this video literally saved me!!! I have chronic pain and carrying around my giant child (he is 99th percentile for height and weight...!) and breastfeeding have ruined my neck, back and shoulders. I have tried tons of other videos, physio, etc., and NOTHING has helped like this video! I love your other postnatal videos as well, but this one is by far my favourite! I cannot undersell the positive impact that this has had on my life. I can now pick up my child without pain and that is truly everything! Thank you so much!
I can’t get my day started without this video! I had my baby a year ago and still have much tension causing stress in my shoulders & pelvis and can kick myself For not finding this sooner! I absolutely love it! Thank you!
I absolutely love this routine. I just had my baby 2 weeks ago and have been doing this routine very day. It’s made all the difference for me postpartum. Thank you!!!
All moms and mums need this, lovely routine. I love the fact it is 20 minutes and the emphasis on the breath makes such a lovely way to relieve stress. Thanks for sharing.
I had a hysterectomy recently and my doctor said I could ease back into Yoga. When I told him that you had a Postnatal playlist he said that was the way to go! Thank you for this relaxing video and routine! I'm so glad to be back in to my practice again!
Thank you so much for this video! I’m six weeks postpartum and have been so so stressed and my body has been aching so bad. I have always been an athlete and the changes to my body throughout pregnancy/postpartum have been hard to accept. This practice was exactly what I needed... it almost made me cry! I’m excited to try your other videos as I work to regain my strength.
2 months postpartum from my first child, and I am finally getting back to it. Thank you Sarah Beth for this routine, I actually cried while doing it. Will keep it up as I get used to new motherhood and how insane my life is now!
I really like your videos. I'm a new yoga teacher but finished my training at 7 months pregnant. I utilized your sequences to assist in figuring out what poses were best for this time in my life. I'm now a month postpartum and just getting back to the mat. I do have to say that my breastfeeding chest doesn't enjoy the first part of this video, but love the focus on the breath and re-routing the mind.
I absolutely love this practice! I’m now 7 1/2 months p.p and have been using your postnatal practices since I was 7 weeks p.p. I always find myself coming back to this one specially for a good stretch, the twist is my favorite. Also, I thought I would share with any breastfeeding mama’s, if it hurts to be on your chest or your breasts are full make sure to feed or pump before this or any practice. I promise it makes a huge difference.❤️❤️
I just wanted to say thank you for this and all of your videos. I had postpartum anxiety and your calming voice and demeanor really helped me relax and start to care for myself again. I remember feeling so supported during the end pose of putting your legs up on a wall and feeling a sense of hope when you said that “things will only get better with time.” Thank you for your videos and I recommend you to anyone who has just had a baby or anyone in general!
I just had my baby boy on the 30th of August due to reasons of mine and my husbands we had to place him with an amzing adoptive family he is beautiful and he stole my heart and i cannot believe i am saying this but i truly miss carrying him with me but anyways this yoga although i did cry still helped me so much as did the 22 min postnatal yoga for anxiety, tension & ppd video thank you for making these videos i really needed them and will continue usuing you and all of your playlists thank you Sarah!!
Thank you for sharing this part of your journey, I’m glad these videos are helping. If you’re looking for more postnatal appropriate videos my chair yoga videos, beginner yoga challenge videos and grief yoga videos are all postnatal friendly. Grief doesn’t have to be loss and death either, it can also be the feeling of missing or grieving expectations or what once was. But the others, chair and beginner yoga challenge, I made sure that those were postnatal friendly too so you have more choices 💙
Hi Sarah Beth , thank you for your videos ! I am 6 months post partum and have started doing your post natal yoga routines since a week and have been really feeling good . I have subscribed to your app and would like to know how long should I follow the post natal yoga routine and when would it be safe to try out the next program that is the tone program as suggested in your app ? Thanks !
Thank you so much for this video. I found your channel about a month ago after I found out we were pregnant again. After going through two previous miscarriages I was happy to find something that eased my mind and helped me relax my worries away. Sadly, miscarriage number three hit us over the weekend. This video (though my body never became very pregnant) was great for me. I cried, I felt the feels I needed, but I was able to relax again. Thank you for your videos.
hi Sarah, I love your channel! :) also I am half way with my yoga teacher training at core power yoga. Just wanted to say thank you for your inspiring video and I would like to suggest, since you live in beautiful CO would be nice if you could make some outdoors videos, yoga outside with beautiful view, or some hiking etc. ❤😊😚
Hello Sarah, I have been trying all your postpartum yoga.. I am post 9 weeks from delivery. I just have this slight pain at the lower abdomen when I do certain poses. Would you say I should ignore and breathe the pain, or should I not do those poses?
I found this super strange as a breast feeding mum. I am not able to lie down on my tummy and I cannot imagine I am the only one who struggles to do that.
I was also BFing when I made this. If you're feeling tender you can place a pillow or rolled towel between/under/above or any combination to relieve pressure. You can also modify in Cow Pose or Swimmers instead from Tabletop.
Sadly no good for breastfeeding mothers, SO uncomfortable lying on boobs, so tummy down positions no good for me :( So sad as need desperately to unwind and dea with tension and stress, with baby number 4!
Hi Heather! I’m sorry this one didn’t work out for you. It may be more comfortable later when your milk supply establishes, I’ve been nursing or pregnant for the last 3 years. when I experienced PPA it was later in my postpartum (3-12 months) and this type of routine was fine for me at that point. But you’re right, earlier it could be uncomfortable, try modifying or skipping poses but still be present on your mat. The message, breathing and gentle stretching will do wonders for your mood 💙

Your class's have given me my practice back after baby 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Your voice is calming, you are knowing, and your flows are wonderful!
I'm not a mama, but I used this flow after a vigorous vinyasa class to restore and relax and I felt awesome. Thanks!
Me neither! So good still
I'm not postpartum, but it's winter where I am right now and I've felt some winter blues! This was just what I needed to feel more centred and calm.

Hello Sarah, I have been trying all your postpartum yoga.. I am post 9 weeks from delivery. I just have this slight pain at the lower abdomen when I do certain poses. Would you say I should ignore and breathe the pain, or should I not do those poses?
I recommend you check with your healthcare professional before resuming exercise
