Dear Victor beautiful instruction, can you help me. I changed the mirror adjustment motor, now the mirror works but very little and it skips.
@@krzysztofdemczyszak3850 hi, the first thing I’d do is double check all the work to make sure nothing is binding or sticking. Try to move the glass by hand in all directions and compare to the other side. You could also try to swap the actuator with the one from the opposite side mirror assembly to see if it is faulty.

Hi Dear Victor, I checked and the right mirror deflects more than the left one.
@@krzysztofdemczyszak3850 you could swap the actuators from one side to the other to see if you got a faulty one.

Hi, you have to remove the door panel and unbolt the mirror. I do not have a video for that year RX at this time unfortunately, only for the earlier RX and the NX.

thank you for everything you do for us. I have a problem with my Lexus 350 2018. my bcm had a problem I changed the BCM with a second-hand one. now the car no longer locks with the remote control. I don't know how to reprogram it so that everything goes back to the way it was before. everything works fine except the lock
This is what the repair manual says about installing a used BCM: "NOTICE: Do not use a main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) that has been registered to another vehicle." So there is a good chance it will not work unless you install a new BCM and initialize/register it according to the repair manual.

Can you please help me troubleshoot an auto-dimming issue with the right mirror (passenger side) for an RX450h 2012?
Question 1) When the center and left mirrors are dimmed, the right one is not. Does it have a separate sensor? If yes, where is it located, and how can I check/test it with a torch?
Question 2) Does the right mirror auto-dimming have a separate fuse that I can check?
Question 3) If I take out the right mirror glass, is there a way to test the dimming circuit or the wire harness with a multimeter? Or is it better to use a tester for a fault code?

First of all, THANK YOU so much! Without you, this channel would not be reborn!
I have emailed you the instructions and the diagrams, but I will post the details here as well in case someone needs them down the road:
The sensor is built into the inner rear view mirror and it sends the signal to both side view mirrors on when to dim.
So, it will be most likely one of 3 things:
Bad mirror glass, bad connection/connector or broken wiring.
You could swap the mirror glass from the bad side to the good side and test.
(It will not fit in the mirror housing, but you could plug the connector in while the car is parked, shine the light on the sensor and see if the bad mirror you swapped in dims.
If it still does not work in the other mirror housing, the mirror glass itself is bad.
If it works in the other housing, the original side that it was on has a wiring or connector issue that you would have to trace.
Or, you can supply the 1.5 volts to pins 7 and 15 of the mirror connector and see if it dims.

i have 2020 rx350 and the driver side is slightly wobbly from the head. is that screw/bolt approachable from the mirror?
@@asadb1990 the issue is most likely from some sort of wear inside the assembly, I doubt that you would be able to fix it by tightening some screws.
@Viktor_G_Automotive sorry i meant to say the housing has a slight wobble. The mirror plate, actuator motor, etc all feel very solid.
@@asadb1990 I understand, it is likely loose internally at the mount, I don’t believe there is anything that can be tightened, most likely the entire mirror would have to be replaced if the wobble bothers you.
dear victor, do you have any videos addressing wing mirror Motor gears etc. my wing mirror over rotates on start up after being hit and I'm assuming its a gearing issue. a new mirror unit cost £1.5K here in uk?
@@LouisMcKenzie-l3z hi, those folding mirror motors are sealed units and cannot be serviced to the best of my knowledge.
I would recommend looking for a used mirror from a wrecker/auto recycler or on eBay.

Thank you for the video. The BSM & REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT systems malfunctioned after I damaged the right-side mirror glass 2021 RX450H. I found a used mirror glass online and replaced it following your video. The BSM module has a silver metallic back cover whereas the original does not. The malfunction alerts are still on. Should replacing the glass fix those systems, or will they need to be reset in a service menu?

Hi Seamus, the only thing inside the mirror glass that is BSM related is the indicator light. Some of the indicator lights have a black cover, others have a silver cover, they are functionally the same. The BSM modules are located inside the rear bumper. The BSM system does a self check every time the car is turned on. If there are no problems, the warning light should go out. Scan it for BSM fault codes with a scan tool and see what the code is, diagnose based on that. Maybe the wiring inside the mirror housing is broken etc.
@@Viktor_G_Automotive The scan tool gives the error under the category Blind Spot Monitor Slave - C1AB5 Open in Outer Mirror Indicator (Slave). I didn't see any broken wires in the mirror.
@@seamusps1 how was the mirror glass broken in the first place, what other damage was there?
Could be that the glass you bought is bad, could be the connector is not plugged into the glass, could be broken wiring.
You can try to switch the mirror glass in from the opposite side and see if the fault code for this side goes away (you won’t be able to clip the other side glass in, but you can just plug the connector in for testing)
@@Viktor_G_Automotive The damage was caused while I was backing up and the mirror struck the side of my garage. The glass popped out of the housing and dangled by the wires. It never shattered, but it pulled away from its backing.
I bought the replacement mirror on Ebay. It is possible that the replacement glass doesn't work. Moving it to the other side may be a good test. The Ebay product photo shows the identical side mirror glass to mine. However, when I received the replacement they sent me a different varient with the silver metalic back cover behind the indicator light.
@@seamusps1 there is a chance that the wiring got broken internally. Do try switching in the other side mirror and see if the fault code moves to the other side or if you get the fault on both sides, that will tell you if it’s the glass or something else.

Are you talking about the whole black frame piece that the mirror cap attaches to? It’s a pretty involved process to disassemble it. It’s attached with a number of screws and clips. I’ll make a video one day, but don’t know when I’ll have the time.

How can I remove the actuator for this model mirror?
It’s just held in with 3 screws.
Is it the same design for 2023 NX serise?
Similar design, removal is done in sort of the same way. The instructions say to get a moulding remover in between the glass and the housing at the bottom. First disengage the bottom 2 clips and then get the remover in from the top and disengage the 2 clips up top. After that, unplug the connectors at the back of the glass.
