I was at the Classic. The announcer for FAMU said they remember when they didn’t cover the field. I am a proud parent of FAMU 100 and the Wildcats next to us were dancing. FAMU was first at the Classic and FAMU was named by Newsweek the 1 HBCU School. The Female Black Neurosurgeon 2018 Graduate of FAMU. Education 1st then 1 Band . Prince at the Superbowl wanted the Number 1 Band FAMU performed. Originators not the Duplicators. Many Blessings to all HBCU Schools
The stands were clapping 👏🏾 after the concert selection because Bethune Cookman marched on the field.
True but you didnt see when BCU turned and faced the crowd during the last drill with the hammer (Not in Paparrazi coverage). They couldnt take that last one. Child like behavior on the field it was funny.

The "100" was skating where? You talked about repetition of the fast marching, but no mention of "Let's go Wild Cats''. And the "100" had the more mature sound.
Preach....BCU sounds real good but they dont bring enough creativity on the field. I will say a million times over. Florida folks like creativity on the fields

Every marching band on this planet imitates the Marching 100. Whatever FAMU has birthed over time, marching bands imitate it. Check out FAMU in the "'50s to the present. They are truly the innovators for marching bands with incomparable sound.
You really don't ever rate FAMU too high.
It’s normal bias. We all have it, and it’s what opinions are made of. He has a “SWAC battle” mindset based on his exposure to that marching band style and sound. I can’t stand the loud, overblowing that has become the hallmark of said style. I do appreciate his channel and commentary. It’s entertaining 😁
You must realize that guy is a only street music adjudicator and give subjective comments of no real music or educational value.
@@bugzy46 it takes all opinions, and I appreciate his even though I don’t agree. I have my own bias because I grew up in a FAMU family (4 generations - 36 graduates and counting). I will always love the M100 and think they are the BEST, but I also love ALL things HBCU! This young man represents a part of the culture that is healthy and needed. When I was in college in the 80s, I used to love to hate Southern 😂 and would drive from ATL (Morehouse) just to see that band and football battle when they played my FAMU. The HBCU culture is rich and diverse, and I love to see these young people continue in the legacy.
I don't want our middle school, junior high and high school students to think that this style of adjudication is the standard in Music Education Assessments at the district, state, and national level.
In all fairness he has before 2020 Orange Blossom Classic he did and 5th Qtr Battle vs ASU. FAMU all day

The Paparrazi coverage isn't the best of FL CLASSIC 2022 footage out. Check out Andscape for any questions about that (world of difference) FAMU for the win during "Classic" weekend it started at the BOTB and then on the field. The crowd went crazy for FAMU but this footage did not capture it. Bethune pulled the old choir processional for attention during FAMUs ballad Intentionally late to be seen and for props since their actual field show was close to regular show but with good sound, just not a classic. Bethune had maybe 2 drills with 1 being that tired B-CU. FAMU did a CLASSIC Show and brought a lot of creativity what you expect for the classic. Not gonna let anybody hate on FAMU period.

@@Kc20243 Did you see them turn about face while FAMU did the last drill with the hammer. They were mad as heck. That should have been highlighted (childish). If their show was all that they should have stood there and been ready to counter with a stellar show on the same level. It was mostly the same.

@@KBThaBandhead Listen it was definitely not a dig at you. I was just more as a matter of fact or my opinion. Paparrazi does an amazing job. It was only in this instance we didnt get live closeup on the field . I appreciate your platform and next time I will send in the footage for you to review.

What may be your issue is that you perhaps have come from one of those 2nd or 3rd tier programs, FAMU has been doing this for over 76 years.
You are accustomed to listening to bands that play loud, put their instruments on the ground, or some type of high school SHIGGITTY....
FAMU marching technique is called "The Rattler", which we originated not duplicated like those WACK bands that you like. FAMU always plays melodies in our field presentations, but since you are a WACK Band program enthusiasts, you are pro WACK band...
We will never put our instruments down on the ground, we dance and play, nor will we put a menstrual show with P-VALLEY girls in our show. That's for programs who take the P-VALLEY girls to distract from their weak field shows.
Most of the WACK programs practice for the stands and not the field show. The WACK confrence will not be able to hide that mess any longer, especially when it pertains to overall sound and presentation.
The 100 has been playing these WACK bands programs for 76 years, this is nothing new but true to us...
Open your ears and eyes, and stop thinking CRANCKING is music, that stuff reminds me of a empty tool box with a loose screw inside...

Its FAMU forever! 🐍 it looks scattered because you're not familiar with the marching style. But it better believe that they are the innovators in this! The band is not even as big as it use to be prior to the suspension. My family's history goes back more than 60 years with my dad and godfather both marching in the 100.

I'm from TSU (Texas) so my option is unbiased. FAMU was better and more entertaining. BCU wasn't bad though.
this dude always says "oo dynamics" whenever JSU or SU goes from FFFF to PPP but not a single time did he say it for the two bands here that use more than 3 volume settings. i love JSU and SU and the content here but his bias hits so hard it hurts sometimes lol.
