😢😢 Love the Marching Wildcats but lets keep it 100, Dr Wells had a 9yr window to make sure Cookman dominate Florida so FAM wouldn’t be able to compete…since 2021 BCU has gotten smaller FAM is close to 300 again & steady doing new shows while Cookman has become so predictable 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ don’t want us to look like SCSU next yr
SCSU’s current size is attributed to previous problems with the school overall. I marched there when they had a 2 million dollar per year budget; they don’t have that now…we as bandheads seem to overlook the outside factors like school politics that can affect programs. To be honest I’m not a fan of Cookman but I have respect for Wells and what he’s done with the program there. Because he understands that we (bandheads) don’t attribute anything of value to his program🤷🏿♂️, we basically just talk noise on the internet and they’re still going to get those calls doing that same “boring” stuff. Which doesn’t matter because his job is to provide the best experience possible for his students…I don’t think we can honestly say that he isn’t doing that. Just my perspective 🤷🏿♂️
