- The engine is successfully mounted... YAY!!! But now we need to reinforce the mounts and get them welded up. The next step will be to remove the body from the chassis and get everything sandblasted so that we can keep on fabricating. Like Nate always says... we got this 💪

OMG I can’t believe what he did with that engine!!!! LOL. It looks great and certainly not the first time someone built a car around an engine. The bones are there and I have every confidence in Chad and his team will have that dream car just the way he likes it.
I am amazed how many negative comments are posted before a job is finished. It is obvious that Chad and Nathan have more than a working knowledge of custom car fabrication. Yes, this project makes me wonder. However, several of Chad's projects have made me wonder Chad always surprises me, which is why I follow what you folks are up to.
i'll buy its "mocked up" no way will I buy its mounted ... in any event I have to say they're on the wrong track here in a big way, those mounts or any mounts of that type will not hold that engine and trans where it sits, running with torque applied? .. there is only one way to do this for this application, PERIOD.. plated, front and rear with a cross member for the trans and the engine and trans need to be tilted down now they'are so close together, and 3rd member spun so its pointed up, which means the engine may need to be lifted even higher to keep that trans spline within reach or you could go split drive line to match it up? there are all sorts and styles of MOTOR MOUNT PLATES, you can buy them or fabricate them yourself, google them you will find all sorts of shapes and sizes, you can do split style or the stronger 1 piece, then bolt to a frame flange .. .. this will prove tricky as it needs a rear plate mount as well, then you need a cross member for the trans .. then all the other beefing up that needs to be done .. the approach is a bit off here, best way is to remove the body.. now they have a semi mock up I guess that doable? go ahead and mock up that drive line ASAP so you know whats what .. its going to prove tricky I can already see it . . . prolly need a split drive line, ball bearing carrier .. motor mount plates --------> watch?v=CPwg3TR6NQ8
That's exactly what I was thinking. Last week when Chad first put the hinge in for the suicide doors there were a lot of comments about how he was doing it wrong or he was putting it in backwards. I haven't seen one after they were done and they work perfectly. I'm pretty sure that he knows exactly what he's doing. He's building this car around this engine and he will modify it accordingly. This is his dream car. He's not going to cut any corners. This may very well be his best yet. God bless Jolene, Chad, Nate, Doug, and Fina. 👍👍🙂

What people don't seem understand is Chad is an artist this is his work of art not a race car a work of art to sit and be looked at. Sure he will probably drive it a couple times but the mind will let it go after he moves to the next project! Love it guys!!

I did the same thing to my 48 Chevrolet coupe , I kept the same chassis but a 403 olds engine .
Love the new shirt . But you need to have up to 5x. For us big guys. Car coming a long and looking good. Can't wait and see the 50's interior when it's done

I would have had to hear that engine run,prior to doing all this work.Out of the car complete motor,could have fired it up.Sure without radiator couldnt run long.Taking someone word is iffy at best to me.Like the black Car the went across Canada to get.CHADDY pitched a fit for weeks! Could this be round two of Chaddy,complaning he got screwed for a month!😊

Great stuff, I'm surprised after all the times Chad has proved the neigh sayers wrong that they are still complaing. You guys are a great team and I look for your content every day. I also like the fact that you have added more personal input to the content. I like the fact the your personal videos include the dialogue of everyone. When the daily posting posts most of the time you can't hear the other end of conversations with Chad and its frustrating
