"Boku Purin" Could mean "I want pudding" or "I am pudding" based on context, with the latter being a yaoi innuendo
That or it's just him being tsundere regarding sweets. He loves sweets but won't admit it
He likes girly regarded sweets like pudding and cake but when he's caught eating them he plays dumb. The way they want him to say it it's "cute" hence his hesitation.
