Grandpa Amu is a rare generational craftsman. Watch his hands - not the first time he has done this. Much in the way oral history was passed down, I can only hope that someone in his family has the will to learn from his or her elder. That’s art, and is a Platonic solid shape...the octahedron!
d8!
Interestingly, if you connected the middle of each face to its neighbors, it forms a cube! If you do the same thing to a cube, you get back an octahedron.
"Grand'pa, it took me 5 min to make the same thing in Minecraft !"
More seriously, it's a pretty piece of art !
