@@ittibittinurse interesting seeing that technically he became president in 2009. 2008 was still under Bush.
2008 was when the great recession really had an effect on everything. The few years leading up to 2008 the housing market was rising and doing well so real estate agencies were handing out expensive houses to people with bad or even no credit because they thought that even if a family needed to be foreclosed on they would still make money by selling that house back on the market at a great price. a bunch of banks was in on this too with loans because they all believed they were making great investments. Eventually, in 2007-2008, pretty much every house was foreclosed on because the people with bad or no credit obviously couldn't afford those houses, so with all these houses back on the market, it increased supply, lowered demand which made these houses worth much less than what was put into them by the banks which made many businesses and banks lose a lot of money. When the banks and big businesses lost money it caused the entire economy to crash and we were in a great recession officially starting in 2008 and we still have the affects of it today but back in 2008 there was hardly any money anywhere and that's why there was a big dip in those charts. a lot of dumbasses blame Obama even though this mess started before he was president and he did very well fixing this mess as much as he was able to do.
The history of pork barrel projects and patronage whether it's Tammany HALL or corruption most pork barrel products are wasted money projects...
The fact that national defense is not a mamdatory spending but Welfare and Medicare is shows you how FAR to the left America has gone.
And people wonder why America has a lot of financial woes
