I was 12 when I first saw this video on TV. I was so intrigued, their sound was so weird, and the more I found out about them I just thought they were cooler and cooler. I had just started to realllyy like girls at the time. (I'm gay) And I think T+S shaped my sexuality in a way. I had fallen out of listening to their music, but about a year ago I was struck how much the lyrics resonated with me after my phone shuffled through The Con again. I'm almost 21 now. It's crazy, this album means a lot to me
Jessica Girdner Girl! This album came out when I was freshman in HS and and I was hooked. The N used to play their music video all the time. Nineteen and Soil Soil have a special place in my heat.
It's so sad that I didn't discover them in this era... I listened to them for the first time last year but it's like I've known them for a lifetime ! God I'm in love ❤️
I feel you!! I discovered them during 2014! But I feel like I've known them for so long!! Their banters always turn my bad days into good ones!! Honestly, I don't care what kind of music they make, cuz they always make great music! They're such beautiful human beings. Wish I had discovered them earlier!! 😋
Oh lordy the teenage angst this brings back...so many of their songs narrated my teen years and feelings. They are forever in my top list of fave bands!

I saw Tegan and Sara for the first time in 2008 in Cincinnati and they instantly became my favorite musicians.. I went out and got a tattoo from The Con’s album artwork. They’re still my favorite artists and I’ve seen them 6 times and met them once... though I’m a fan of all they do, nothing can compare to The Con for me.
@Rufio Quin That's so awesome. Aren't they the nicest people ever? Do you really share the same last name as them or is that just a name you use as an homage?
@@prozac623 Thanks for your comment. They are extremely nice. Tegan was definitely the more talkative of the two, at least in 2010 anyway. 10 years ago this came in 89.3 The Current in MN. This song made me cry out of the blue in the car for no reason. I ran and bought this album, cashier looked at me funny. Big black hip hop head made the best purchase that year buying this album.
when I feel super emotional their music just hits at a different level. When i'm going okay I really don't get as much out of their music. When i'm sad or just super emotional about something in my life it sounds so much different.
And the little circular black jewellry is a symbol of luck and love. She is always down to do stuff - it's a sudden impulsive rush. And the guy most likely took a hard pill and lay down to rest and recover a titch. And they have sexy stylish haircuts that's for true. And the beat is beckoning. Excellent music. Lessons. 😇
I just remembered this song after so many years after seeing someone named Tegan on Facebook . Decided to look them up again and omg.... I discovered them during one of the worst teenage summers I had ever encountered (I was severely depressed and cutting myself)..... This brings back all the good and bad memories....... I love them
"I listened in Yes I'm guilty of this you should know this I broke down and wrote you back before you had a chance to Forget forgotten, I am moving past this, giving notice I have to go" This song never gets old and never stops making me feel real emotions.
I do love how emotive Tegan's expressions are when she sings. Even when merely doing a video, she still captures the feeling. And, I do love this song, as well. Great stuff.
A colleague recommended Heartthrob to me and I thought it was ok and went on to read about them and found that they were described as indie, which I wasn't the vibe I got from that first listen so I went back in their catalogue and was totally blown away by The Con and So Jealous.
I listened to this song when I was 13-14 y/o and felt like they really get me... Ten years later I'm back and frankly, nothing has changed. Still can relate to every word of this song

What i like most about this is that Tegan is usually more outspoken than Sara. I love the fact that Sara, who is usually quiet, has the hero role in saving her sister. great video.
