LOVE the idea of breaking down professional styling photos, not just from IKEA! This would make a great series, thank you Valentina for all the tips! 💜
I put bar height counter on my island. I just don’t want to see kitchen clutter from my open concept living room. I know it’s not on trend but it is functional for me. I added some beautiful barstools and pendant lights and it looks amazing. As a bonus, it’s perfect for a standing desk when I’m tired of sitting. I also love ikea styling and this has been such an informative video!
I love this! Our island is also open to our living room and while I've entertained the idea that counter height is more "on trend" what you just said convinced me it's just fine as is. Thank you!
I cut my breakfast bar from 10” higher than counter to 5” higher, and cut stool legs down too, love hiding sink mess and seeing over DR table to patio window
I like the bar height for that reason as well, though I do like bar stools, and it’s really common in apts. It’s also why I am not a fan of open concept.
This is what sets you apart from the other design channels and proves you create your content from experience. Much better than the others whose design tips are nothing more than “buy a vase, pop in some faux greenery and place it on top of a coffee table book”. Thank you for the video!
I love your enthusiasm and how much information and expertise you share in each video. I always come away with new perspectives and ideas. And some of your contagious joy in decorating! Thank you!!
I love your reminder of keeping life in a space, it seems to help keep design more approachable. At least it does for me. I'm so glad to be going back to a relaxed beautiful space that feels cozy, Life can be hard some days, we need a cozy/comfy spot to start and end the day in. . . home sweet home. I appreciate your videos Valentina!
This video was so on point for me, I loved how you showed smaller rooms decorated without looking too cluttered, the best one I loved the most was adding hanging space to a bedroom and utilising curtains to hide what’s behind, I may try and talk my hubby into this idea for one of our bedrooms to give me more hanging space for my clothes, I don’t have a walk-in closet and find that I don’t have much hanging space in there for all my seasonal clothes, most times I have to store them away in suitcases ready for that season to come around again but I also do a de clutter at the same time just to make space, over this time, I’ve donated pieces of clothing that I wished I hadn’t 😢, but basically had to for the lack of space I have, you’ve given me some great ideas in this video Valentina, it’s a Public Holiday here in Australia 🇦🇺 today, the perfect time for me to rearrange some of my clothes and other things I’ve got stored away. Thank You for always sharing your knowledge and expertise with us here on RUclips. Have a Great Day. Cheers from Nellie 🖤🖤🖤💯
Watching from Germany. We have a lot Ikea Stores over here. I'm a costumer since beginning when i was teenager with small budget, now i'm close to retirement, still a fan :) Love the Vid ( first commend on this channel :)
Yes!!! I love these kinds of videos where you break down what's done in a room. I'd like to see comparisons of a room or area styled in several different ways. Love your style!
This is my favorite style of video I have ever enjoyed from your channel. More please! I hope you enjoyed creating this content as much I did watching and rewatching.
I loved this whole video but also love your room and especially the plant in the big grey pot .. is that plant real and what kind and where did you get that gorgeous huge clay pot on the floor ???
I love your videos, but this has to be my favorite. When I first looked at each room, I only saw half of what you saw. I appreciate how you analyzed and then gave suggestions for how we might use those styling tricks. Please do more videos like this!
I have been watching your videos for years now and I love this video! I have been stuck on how to finish our library for years now. Thank you for explaining more in depth why each photo is appealing, you notice all the things and it makes all the difference.
Have kept my raised L shaped bar counter as it separates both my living and dining area. A must to hide the sink, etc. Very informative and helpful content. More please!!!
Love, love this kind of videos!! I really hope you know how much you have helped me to view the way I decorate my house. Since I started watching you I have made little tweaks here and there and it has made a huge difference. Thank you!!
I’ve been following for a few years. This is one of my favorite videos! Please do more! I liked the kitchen aesthetic the most but think the tips you shared for bedroom pic were the most useful for me.
I love the kitchen the most! Picture perfect. Thank you for all your tips! And yessss, please; I would love to watch more of these kind of videos! They are very helpful & inspiring ❤
In our bedroom our 2 closets are separate with the bathroom door that we can also access from the hall so I changed the bed around and put a lovely big chest of drawers in the middle of the closets in front of the door and it has given us so much more space.thank you for the wonderful tip's and tricks ❤️
Really enjoyed this video and the capturing of details that transform so easily and within a reasonable budget. Thank YOU Valentina for sharing so much of your knowledge with us it is truly priceless!
It’s the geometry. Mixing modern with selected vintage. Your selections are all sharing a simple line or shape and it looks great together. As a much older Atlanta designer, I’m thrilled to see Atlanta and the South moving forward to these clean lines vs camel back sofas, wing back chairs, butler tray tables and orientalist rugs! 😂😂😂. So stale. But the clean lines and geometry - I love so much.
I love the mix of textures! It allows me to change things up on a whim. I also appreciate the example with the higher kitchen bar. I have something similar I'm trying to work through. Valentina, your videos help me to rethink my spaces and also to have fun updating them. BTW, love your hair! ♡
Amazing video, loved each and every tip an hack. I would be happy to see more of these. So inspiring. One room per video would be even better so we could really understand the logic behind the designs. Ikea's designers are great and you are amazing in analyzing them. Thank you Valentina 😊 💓
❤😊❤ I was an Interior Designer at IKEA. I am still at IKEA and love it. I love hearing the different perspectives of everyone that enjoys our rooms. When you lived in Scandinavia did you visit the IKEA museum and stay at the IKEA Hotel? ❤😊❤
Yes, please do more of these videos! You made me fall in love with the books from Hans Blomquist and now I collect them, they are some of my absolute favorites. Even considering ordering the one that is only available in german, just for the pictures... Lots of love from Malmö! ❤
This kind of video is super helpful because you are walking us through details that we wouldn't have thought of. Thanks so much! I just went to IKEA but now I feel like I need to go back! :)
That curtain thing behind the bed is so smart. I look at the smallest cottage ever, and think it's so cute that I maybe want us to buy it for a summer house. But it has only one slim but long bedroom and I could not fint out how it would even work as a room or look cute. But that's really smart! Love all your videos! Thank you Valentina!
Love these types of videos! And I love going to Ikea trying to figure out the design details, they do an exceptional job always. Love your tips! They helped me get a better understanding of what’s needed in my space(s) now.
I really liked the video today. So many great tips and tricks. I'm trying to add more baskets and shelves to "hide in plain sight" all the things. Also each time I replace a piece of furniture I think "what would Valentina get"! 😆
Great video. The interiors were lightly softened. My favourite was the bedroom. The light in the robe was beautifully. The curtain fabric was an additional soft look, too.😀
Excellent video. Really like this format. I loved all three rooms but especially the kitchen. I also really liked the bedroom color scheme as these are the colors I love to wear together. Very useful information as I think I have fallen into the "only these things belong in this room" constraint. Might be some room makeovers in store.😀 Btw, I also love stuff.
I love this type of video. Can you please do one just for bedrooms. Especially, kids bedrooms of all ages. I see everyone focusing on the kitchen, living room, or maybe the master bedroom. But very few on kids bedrooms or bathrooms. Or do a series where you focus and do a deep dive on one type of room at time.
Even though the trend is going away from the open plan, I still like mine because everyone hangs out in the kitchen . I like that I have a great room. I do have a separate dining/library room though. Also have a separate office . I just no longer have a formal living room …..it only got used at Christmas and when I read my Victoria magazine. 😂
Thank you Valentina! Very nice content. I have always tried to maximize rooms for multi purpose without sacrificing a good style 😊. This video provided some additional ideas so thank you!
Love this video concept for sure - often I love a space at IKEA and I really can't pinpoint why.. this helps Also - we have a bar height counter between our kitchen and Dinning room and I wouldn't change it; it's nice to use as a buffet area when entertaining
I really like all your videos. It's relaxing and inspiring. I would like to know some tips and tricks for renters. We rented a cookies-cutter house, and it's typical beige walls. How little bit to elevate this space? Without changing the color of the wall, countertops...?
LOVE the idea of breaking down professional styling photos, not just from IKEA! This would make a great series, thank you Valentina for all the tips! 💜
I really like this format of showing design photos and then you point out the design aspects of each rm. I would love to see more of this.
I put bar height counter on my island. I just don’t want to see kitchen clutter from my open concept living room. I know it’s not on trend but it is functional for me. I love this! Our island is also open to our living room and while I've entertained the idea that counter height is more "on trend" what you just said convinced me it's just fine as is. Thank you!
Your thoughts are exactly why it’s important to make the space work for your lifestyle. That will always outrank any trend 👍
I love my huge white quartz island but would love a higher "shelf" to hide my kitchen mess!

I love these type of videos where you break down a photo…like the Scandinavian one you did a few years ago♥️
If this is a IKEA hack it's Scandinavian.
I love these "Case studies", Val!! Bring them on! 🥰🖤
Some of the best decor advise I’ve heard in a long time! I’m a senior and love decor but practicality! TY, Valentina 😊
I love your enthusiasm and how much information and expertise you share in each video. I always come away with new perspectives and ideas. And some of your contagious joy in decorating! Thank you!!
Love this type of video and the thorough walkthrough with all the design details. Thank you for the amazing tips Valentina.

Love Ikea kitchen tips Would love to see more of your elevated Ikea ideas for living and dining rooms as well.
I appreciate “dissecting” the rooms and widening the point of view . (Especially for us in smaller spaces!)Thank you
I loved this whole video but also love your room and especially the plant in the big grey pot .. is that plant real and what kind and where did you get that gorgeous huge clay pot on the floor ???
Your hair looks so healthy and great in this video😊
Once again, thank you Valentina great tips, great vlog, you look lovely with that Charcoal grey Cardigan ❤️🇬🇧xxxx
You are my absolute favorite 😊 every time I listen to you it becomes a true joyful experience…your laugh is contagious and I smile every time ❤
The kitchen was beautiful

V- I finally ordered my first piece of Royal Copenhagen- the “M” alphabet mug, thanks to you! I’m worth it❤️. Can’t wait to enjoy it.

You soooo inspired me. I love the curtains in front of closet spaces. And I've always wanted a bed in the middle of a room. LOVE!

Good Morning Valentina! This was such a great video! Thanks for all the tips! ❤ from Georgia!
I live in a very remote area so the shopping videos really help me know what to order!
As always beautiful tips by thinking outside the traditional box.

I enjoyed hearing about how to add design to your “space” 😉
Loved this video and got so many great tips for a huge bonus room that I have which need to be multifunctional.
Great video. The interiors were lightly softened.

Love this! Helpful to understand if I am doing thing right.
Great format. Sometimes when you breakdown the room, I get what they were trying to accomplish 👌🙏
I love center room beds!
Do you do table center pieces or runners? I have a new table from West Elm and I am trying to figure out the styling for it.
I love this video. I get so many ideas from it
Love this video! Thanks Valentina
Thank you Valentina :)
Will be purchasing drapes this week from Ikea. Love the video.
Love this video concept for sure - often I love a space at IKEA and I really can't pinpoint why.. this helps
