Ben, I dont think it'd matter what type of stuff you do, the way you present all of your projects make them entertaining and calming, basically just keep being you, its great
Wow I’ve been binging these vids ,, saw your comment on the dragon being called Elliot. My first thought was “eh what’re the odds it’d be named Elliot”. Hahhaah here we are now !!!
The turtle looks amazing. I can see a lot of these turtles, eggs, and dinosaurs in your Etsy shop. I absolutely love the name Elliott. Elliott's a Great Mascot.
Nice job Ben, another thing that is good to try when colouring the mould is to mix the mica powder with Isopropyl alcohol to make a paint then the dust doesn't go everywhere it's much easier to apply and the alcohol evaporates off in seconds...
Just ordered my first lot of resin from Justresin, so here's hoping. Your channel, as well as a few others, has convinced me I need to have a play with resin - Ok just got back pay from work and have allocated $800 for fun stuff, and that's resin, pressure pot and some molds, and a few wooden boards to laser engrave and then resin fill. If it goes bad I'm blaming you Ben :)
I'm so glad I found you! I just got Silicone to make my first mold I've been working with epoxy for almost 2 years. I never wear gloves either. It's made me pretty good at not getting it all over myself I can't feel anything with gloves on. I absolutely love your video! I'll be watching more!
Wow! The turtle is sooo beaUtiful I liked it very much. Looking at the prices so high even for these tiny moulds, I use to feel so bad to buy them thinking how to spend so much money to buy these moulds, I thank you, for sharing this method of making this mould.
At first, when you were putting the powder in the front legs, I thought you were doing them in a different color. But then I realized it was the same powder, but at a different angle! That is really cool!
Have a idea for what might be a interesting pot cam, mix the resin with some shampoo or bubble bath. Would it bubble/foam up when pulling a vacuum or would it possibly do it when releasing it
This is one of my fave projects to date. The colour combination, those beautiful pigments, the cute creature; just perfect all together. I love watching your channel, especially your resin experiment videos! Always interesting to see the results.
something you might want to look into: mold release spray. and I would suggest putting the silicone in the vacuum chamber after stirring and before pouring. get rid of those bubbles!
That was amazing. @BensWorx You mentioned gloves.... why gloves? Can you do an Epoxy Resin safety video? What are the dangers that a beginner needs to know about? What safety equipment is needed to attempt to follow your videos?
3:20 Dont pour it onto the object. Pour next to it (or against the outside wall if there isnt space to reach the bottom in a straight line) so the silicone can rise and push the air out.
Ben, that came out prefect. I’ve also wanted to learn how to make a silicone mold. So thanks for sharing how to do it. I love watching your videos. So please keep up creative mind going.
I love turtles!!! 🐢 I recently purchased a silicon mold of a turtle from Julie at Pouring Your Heart Out from Queensland. Granted, the one I bought is bigger, but yours is just as detailed!!
I cracked up when you lost both the tips of the eyeshadow applicators. That’s exactly like something I’d do. Also, I appreciate that you change up the music and whatnot but hearing the familiar song when you were applying the mica was really nice. I always love knowing what song comes next when watching your videos. It’s comforting. (And, again, I understand wanting to change things. I’m just tipping my hat to the familiarity. 😁 )
This was wonderful on so many levels. Excellent presentation, delightful charm, and very educational. I'm going to be trying my first project involving these materials soon, and this is the best vid I've found on the subject, so thank you for all your hard work and care! One question: what are the fumes like? I have a small apartment and cats. I dont want to harm them, so wondering if working on my balcony is okay or if it needs to be in a controlled environment etc
The turtle was so awesome! I love the new items you are trying. Turtles would be a great add to your store. Can't wait to get a cow egg one of these days. 🐄🐮❤️❤️
I haven't had much luck with my colour shift pigments, but I'm using cheaper ones so that might be why. I love knowing how to make my own mold now. Thanking you! Definitely will have to keep an eye out for ornaments to turn into them. I love the ones Julie makes at pouring your heart out on ebay, but have yet to invest in one that expensive... to get the perfect mold I've made myself, well that would be awesome!
You never cease to amaze me with these! Love how that turned out. I may have to pull one of my Hot Wheels cars from when I was a kid and try my hand at the mold making stuff. Won’t compare to this though!
I think a small layer of clear resin first before the blue would have made it add like a sense of depth. But love it, going to try my first epoxy craft similar
Ben, I dont think it'd matter what type of stuff you do, the way you present all of your projects make them entertaining and calming, basically just keep being you, its great
Agreed! The resin craft Bob Ross
I was thinking the same. So interesting and also soothing. Ben has a lovely demeanour.
My mind went to Bob Ross too...especially when he used Phthalo Blue.
I agree with you it really doesn't matter what Ben makes because hus voice is calm and gives off an asmr effect
What a brilliant way to put it. These are all the same reasons I adore Ben. He de stresses me.😘
To hear that your little dragon was named Elliot made my heart so happy! Pete's Dragon was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

That deserves a WOW! The colours are amazing! Love it!❤

12:09 "that's way better than I expected" same dude, I didn't expect it to look this great!
I'll watch ANYTHING you do, I don't care what it is. You always keep me engaged in the best way 😊

You are correct. The color shift is unreal!! I love him he's gorgeous!
I love this little turtle sooooo much I almost started crying. He is beautiful.
Thanks Lynn 😊
You seems such a kind and cool guy! I love to see you enjoying what you do
Have a idea for what might be a interesting pot cam, mix the resin with some shampoo or bubble bath. Would it bubble/foam up when pulling a vacuum or would it possibly do it when releasing it
The pot is a pressure pot, it doesnt pull a vacuum.
That turned out really great! He's really cute and I love the color shift!
I like your version WAY more than the one from the store. Love those colour shifts
This is one of my fave projects to date. The colour combination, those beautiful pigments, the cute creature; just perfect all together.
I love watching your channel, especially your resin experiment videos! Always interesting to see the results.
The dragon last week "Elliott"..was cool, but I 💕 turtles. The color changing turtle 🐢 is awesome. Thanks for sharing this video.
11:45 "pop out the turtle head" definitely sounds like a euphemism 😂
Wow! That came out looking better than it's model. You did a great job with that and made it look pretty easy as well. Thanks Ben!!!
Thanks Ellis 😊
you posted this video just as I was finishing up sewing a turtle plushie! haha. looking great!
something you might want to look into: mold release spray. and I would suggest putting the silicone in the vacuum chamber after stirring and before pouring. get rid of those bubbles!
Hi Ben, the colours are brilliant. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Rose
The turtle is great! These will be a hit in your etsy shop!! 🐢🐢
I think I laughed a little too hard when you kept losing the brush heads. TOTALLY made my day!!!!!!
This is just what I need. Perfect timing Ben
Did anyone else have the “oh no, the turtle is drowning” reaction when Ben was pouring in the rubber to make the mold?
Ben your not alone with forgetting your Gloves, lol i now keep my box with my Resin, and i never forget now, try it, it works
Very very cool! Perfect little tutorial. I want to make my own molds for jewelry and this video is so helpful! Cute turtle 🐢! Thank you! 💝

Hi Josh, Thankyou! I just finished another one and it’s now live 😊
That was amazing.
@BensWorx You mentioned gloves.... why gloves?
Can you do an Epoxy Resin safety video?

I was excited with you as you removed the turtle you made! It is very cool with those colors you chose! Kudos Ben!
I love it Ben! Great colours used and turtles are so adorable!🐢
3:20 Dont pour it onto the object. Pour next to it (or against the outside wall if there isnt space to reach the bottom in a straight line) so the silicone can rise and push the air out.

Phthalo blue! One of the colours that Bob Ross always used to paint with.
It's my favorite color
That turtle looks almost metallic! I love it

Not gonna Lie....im really wanting to get an etsy order for that Turtle. What an amazing Piece! Good job Ben!
You should get some silicone paint brush for poking around in the molds it is softer than a stick and won't mess up your molds
I once bought a similar looking molded turtle from a gypsy fair, but it was black and glued to a stone. I still have it too.
Those colors are amazing he came out beautiful, my friend.
ok the original was good but man, your version is just... unbelievable! that crazy color shift is amazing. cute name for the little dragon btw
Thank you, love your little Turtle ❤️ I'm going to make an Elephant mold 😁

I think a small layer of clear resin first before the blue would have made it add like a sense of depth. But love it, going to try my first epoxy craft similar
