- Took a trip back through the woods and the grid was flooded! Log jams that are normally in the way were submerged a few feet below the water. Still made an effort to get where we needed to go to find the fish. Hope you all enjoyed and let me know where I should go OFF THE GRID next!
These off the grid are awesome to watch. Love seeing where you are willing to take a regular outboard. Solid fishing entertainment. Lotta people wouldn't go these places without a mud motor. Gives me all the inspiration I need to continue beating up my old Johnson 25 😂

I am from Southeast Louisiana close to the Mississippi line. That is the only way to fish down here. I do go to Toledo Bend a couple times a year. But around here you running sloughs wide open to keep planed off to get in a hole. Have to bring a chainsaw in the boat sometimes to cut your way into a hole. Had to shovel a ditch about 10 foot deep enough to be able to jump my boat through in and out.

Sometimes I need my atv while fishing sometimes i need my boat while riding my atv. You gotta go where the fun is.

I wlould absolutely run with off the grid. That chit is way to much fun. Look into synthetic winch rope. Save you about 40lb. And no cable barbs to split you open. F a cable.
My kind of fishing . Got a place on pool 5 A on the upper Mississippi river that rocks in the spring when the water is up . 2 hours in 2 out but well worth the trip !

2:00 I keep a set of tackle in each boat , I only switch rods . Got sick of switching everything in and out you always forget something.

I guarantee Keith is straight-up gutsy, I laughed at Poche when he said something like "Waters up, we're getting back here pretty smoothly" about then he ducks his head to keep the tree branches from swatting his hat into the drink +he got partially stuck, quality entertainment.

ya gona have to figure out how to use wheels on that boat if you keep going back in those areas to fish...reminds one of the old lakes that were like that when the gates were first closed.
