Another fantastic recipe! I made a vegan version using tofu and coconut based milk. Came out absolutely delicious. A fiesta of flavours! Thanks for another great one Bumbi!
This looks amazing! As soon as I saw the photo, I HAD to watch your video. I plan to make this tomorrow and will use a mix of tofu and paneer. Thanks so much for showing us something different.
This looks DIVINE! I've been seeking a good tomato-less gravy, and I just bought some fresh paneer. Thank you for this!!! (Kasuri methi is my favorite seasoning. I love how the aroma stays on my hands after crushing it over a dish!)
I wish more Americans would learn the delicious recipes of the Indian subcontinent and surrounds. The recipes and methods that you share with us are absolutely outstanding. Thank you so much!
This looks so good!! I always enjoy your videos, Bumbi, and all of the dishes I have tried have been great! I always look forward to your delicious recipes. Peace and love from Australia 🙏 ❤
Wow, this looks fabulous! I make paneer makhani with cashew butter quite frequently, as it’s one of my personal favorites, but this is a bit different and easier. Plus your recipe has my favorites - garlic and onion - as my paneer makhani recipe is Jain and cannot include them. I’m really excited to make this recipe, but I have to make some paneer first. My local grocery store does not stock paneer, so I’ve gotten into the habit of buying a gallon of milk and making my own. It’s easy, if a bit time consuming.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Homemade paneer does taste so much better and has such a lovely texture you just can’t get with store-bought paneer. But it takes me 45 minutes to slowly heat a gallon of milk. I really need a new stove, but every time I look at them, the prices give me a massive headache. And there are so many options to consider that in the end I give up and just keep cooking with my old stove.
Bumbi that looks superb! I live by myself so I'll probably make the sauce by itself and store it as frozen ice cubes then pan fried 1 person portion of paneer before melting couple cubes of sauce in the same pan. I use soy milk as I'm dairy free (as mush as possible in reality). Oh, I also found that mint leaves in such rich gravy dishes also cuts through the heaviness of it and leaves a very refreshing aftertaste.
Namaskar 🙏🏽Bo and her mum Wow lovely recipe and Colin’s daughter will love this Bumbi banger. Hope she cook for her dad when visiting!! ❤❤Colin 🇮🇳 🏴 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Delicious! Had to substitute with tofu owing to lack of paneer in Jakarta and too lazy to make it myself today. Thank you again for your wonderful recipes 😊
Hi Bumbi 👋Wow this is a fantastic recipe. It looks so delicious. I have got to make it. Hope you are well my friend. It has been a very eventful week here. Finally we have gas again 🙏They took away the old meter for testing. Thank you for this wonderful recipe. Hope you have a great weekend💕
Hi Bumbi, could I use the liquid strained from cooking onions and spices? I thought I could save it and use it when it’s time to add water to Paneer. It seems a shame to discard all that goodness. 😅 Thanks x
I'm experimenting with the making of vegan paneer using peanuts, (can use almonds too, but peanuts are cheaper for experimental purposes) and when I get it right, (two in the compost bin so far), this looks like the absolute perfect recipe for it. Tofu is a good sub for paneer but it always tastes like tofu and I'd like the dish to taste of something a little different. Can't wait to try this recipe so I'd better crack on with some "cheese" making. :)
"Pumfu" a tofu made from pumpkin seeds, is very close to paneer in texture. I tried it with the Palak Paneer recipe and it works. It's a lot fattier than tofu so it's more cheese like.
@@CurriesWithBumbi thank you for replying so quickly. I did make this last night and it is absolutely delicious. I may be the weird one, but i like rubbery paneer. I love food with interesting textures. Of course if i was making this for the family then I would keep it as conventional as possible.

Made paneer for the first time yesterday, I think I’ll just use that all the time now instead of chicken. Gonna check out your recipe; not a fan of almonds somehow

Another winner I’m sure. I have macadamias so I’ll give it a go with them rather than almonds.
Sure 👍🏽👍🏽

I'll bet that gravy would be amazing with chickpeas or other proteins as well.
Yes definitely. I make this same recipe using chicken and it tastes too good
Very good receipe for vegetarians when they come over for dinner at my place.
Please do give it a try.

Hope you enjoy

Can’t wait to try this, luckily in Australia where I live there are many Indian shops to buy these ingredients and our paneer is not frozen ❤
Thanks for watching
Thanks for giving the vegan option xxx❤
Glad you found it useful
I love your videos Bumbi
Is it better to thaw the paneer before you cook it or just toss it in the pan frozen?
Always thaw the paneer and use it

Thanks. Nice recipe. It is quite unusual to use dairy milk in curries. I'm from south India, where coconut milk is commonly used, of course.
You can use coconut milk as well

My local grocer sells semi-soft paneer. Is that ok to use, or does it need to be firmer? Thanks!
It needs to be bit firm
Is it ok to use almond flour if you are in a rush and don't have time to soak the almonds?
I haven’t tried with almond flour Nitadi but probably you can
@CurriesWithBumbi thanks. If I try I will let know

Can I use cashews un stead of Almonds Bumby?
Sure you can but then it will be cashew chicken 😀
Add sugar! It balances the flavor and mouthfeel. Ignore the whiners
