The thing about this pedal is I can’t tell if it’s actually any good because I’ve only heard Pete and Rabea play it, and they both make everything south good.
... and does the fact that Pete's his mate have anything to do with the fact Rabea's promoting it:? Can't imagine Pete would want anything to do with something that didn't sound good though. Sounds brilliant BTW.
you can tell when Bea genuinely loves a pedal, cause he just plays and plays. my goodness those are some TASTY licks, i havent heard a strat sound that good in a while. and im now seriously considering picking one of these up, cause it sounds tremendous
Can I just say... and I hope I'm not Jinxing this, I love how the community here on Bea's channel is a lot less toxic and nasty than on the Andertons channel xD It must be the constant energy from the fro. it's calming abilities are more potent here. Love you dude!!
My guess for why would be; 1. Less people in total should mean a lower vocal minority of suck. 2. Andertons has a wider range of video topics, and I would wager that more people find an Andertons video randomly than one of Rabea's. A more diverse audience like that would have a loud vocal minority of people not liking other videos. I would wager that most people are here because they like Rabea and his style, and that's pretty consistent.
I love Rabea on a strat. I came in hoping he'd be playing a strat, and the first thing I hear when I tap the video is a beautiful strat sound. Hell yeah!
The look from Bea at 14:47 says it all - great grit out of the bari at that point. As an earlier commenter mentioned would love to see a studio gear and signal path + software walkthrough soon as well.
I'm sure we can all agree Rabea has some of the most tasteful chord progressions around and his playing is absolutely stellar...!! and the fact he's loves skateboarding...from a professional skateboarder that is ace..! And Pete's new pedal is as great as his playing as well... Cheers...! (Beers Clanging) from Newport Beach, CA.
The Magick of the Fro is that Bea can have both the longest hair AND the best view of the fretboard at the same time, even when he's headbanging! Keep shredding, keep sharing, keep inspiring Bea! You are an amazing artist and an amazing human being. Thank you.
You can tell when RUclips guitarists don't like a product because they play the same old "comfort" licks and don't get creative , Bea clearly loves this pedal I haven't heard chops like that from him on a video for a while.
I just love watching Rabea play guitar...that pedal rules. ordering mine right now. Pete great job on this....I was torn between the Strymon riverside or sunset, but I think I'm going with this one.......maybe later add a Strymon....lol....
You and Pete are the guys I idolize when I'm looking at the Andertons stuff man. You should know that you are better at coming across to people online than you realize. Rock on
Rabea - since I have been watching you playing single coil guitars I have been hugely inspired. I could watch you play a Strat and enjoy it, all day long. Keep going man, I'm enjoying your youtube channel immensely
Great review! You're the first person I've seen who's taken the obvious (for me, at least...) "Let's crank it all up!" approach! I was already sold on Pete's pedal and I'm doubly sold now. :) I really admire your playing - keep it coming!
Bea, This is some of your best playing EVER!!! Good grief - KILLER TONES and KILLER CHOPS!!!! Must have been a really inspiring pedal. Great job again bro!!
Old vid, but gotta comment anyway, 'Bea. That is a dynamite tone, and that's how I like to set my amp. A lot of crunch I can roll off to clean up, and still preserving the qualities of the guitar. My #1 is that archtop over there, and I paid for all that real estate in the soundbox, I wanna use it.
Just bought mine today.. I was gonna wait cause the Tim might be coming out soon and really wanted to get my hands on that.. but thought naw the dane is exactly what I was looking for
Hi Rabea, just wanted to tell you that I loved the video and your playing. One suggestion - could you please add a small window of the pedal on right of the screen? This would show the audience the setting you are currently using to get these cool tones, in case someone wants to try them out as well. Also, this will improve the understanding of how the tone will change if you adjust one of the knobs. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Bea, please tell me aboot the kracken, I know its based on a jcm900 but which model.I had a 5881 loaded 100w jcm900 4100 dual reverb paired with a 70s 30w g12h loaded 4x12. It had it all, the cleans were spanky and more than enough dirt on channel A and B was mental when goosed with a SD1. I'd throw a eq pedal in the loop if I needed to shape it more. The speakers allowed me to actually get great tones with out having to gun the volume which most 900s needed. I miss the tone but just don't need such a big beast now. Awesome playing and the Dane sounds right up my strasse with the kraken and when the baritone came out so did the gurns, just perfect who'd of thunk!!
This pedal simply is adjustable epicness packed in a box with five knobs! It looks awesome and you just can't dial in a bad sound. And then 'dem booster bro! 'dem booster!!!! Fattens up any strat out there! I've got s/n0054
I wouldn't necessarily say that it couldn't be used for progressive metal. Maybe not in a djent context, but definitely for a newer Opeth or a Russian Circles style of prog metal/post metal. Ace video of taking a pedal through its paces as always!
Would have been nice to see what it did on the dirtier channel/settings on the amp. If you could get a nice boost and keep that definition with the amp putting on the dirt that would be amazing !
Hey bro, great video! You probably won't see this, but if you do, could you tell me (or someone else in the comments) wether you prefered The dane by thorpy or the Keeley D&M drive? Im having a hard time deciding. Cheers,
I remember that leaked video of Bea and the Dane drinking and playing guitar...then coming up to the camera really close with a serious stare...hahaha that was brilliant man just saying sorry had to say
Luv ya bro... You sound SO good man.... My hero...Thank you....
Nuno Bettencourt has bea posters on his wall
The thing about this pedal is I can’t tell if it’s actually any good because I’ve only heard Pete and Rabea play it, and they both make everything south good.
So true! Same with Pete Thorn - He makes dog poo sound like gold.
I got a demo on my channel. Check it out! I make gold sound like dog poo :)

SHUT UP! I HATE YOU! ;P jk
How long before we see the Thorpy THE FRO?
This was probably one of my favorite videos of you playing. The style was great and your reaction to the baratone with full gain was hilarious
Wow Rabea, superb demo of this pedal!!! Love you and Pete!!! Wow!!!
I love Rabea on a strat. I came in hoping he'd be playing a strat, and the first thing I hear when I tap the video is a beautiful strat sound. Hell yeah!

The Strat, The Dane, The Kraken, and the BEA is an eargasmic combination.
Rabea - since I have been watching you playing single coil guitars I have been hugely inspired. I could watch you play a Strat and enjoy it, all day long. Keep going man, I'm enjoying your youtube channel immensely
wow this truly inspirational! Some of the best strat playing and tones on the tubes
So sick. Mine came in today actually! Can't wait to get home and try it out.
Love this vid, love the Danish Pete and... love this Weird Owl T-shirt reference!
Great demo! What you did was very clever. Running away from what everybody else will do! Sounds great!!! Thanks!
Sounds awesome, so transparent! Love your strat playing bro.
Excellent demo. Seems like a perfect match for high gain amps. Damn. I watched this 3 times now I need the Dane
Great review! You're the first person I've seen who's taken the obvious (for me, at least...) "Let's crank it all up!" approach! I was already sold on Pete's pedal and I'm doubly sold now. :) I really admire your playing - keep it coming!
Sounds frickin good dood! Some killer chops in there.
unbelievable playing as usual!
Well that was really surprising ... bloody awesomely surprising in fact!
Mind you Bea I'm sure could get amazing tones out of a beer bottle...
Best sounding overdrive pedal I've ever heard.
Bea, This is some of your best playing EVER!!! Good grief - KILLER TONES and KILLER CHOPS!!!! Must have been a really inspiring pedal. Great job again bro!!
Way to demo a pedal dude. Love the tone and the playing. Nicely done.
Wow your baritone signature guitar sounds so badass with this pedal.
Awesome review;)
Your strat tone is outstanding man jeez
I could listen to you play all night long. And then come back for more!
Who did you think that intro was...
Clever haha
Hey Rabea!
First of all: Amazing playing!
Second: I really wanna know where you got this shirt from?!
Cheers, Charly
you get some of the best strat sounds on youtube, absolutely awesome!

I was expecting something lighter than that😂
Omg, so much gain in that thing
Amazing demo, Bea
Damn, the gunned out pedal with the Bary gets you some amazing Sludge tones!
If you ever wake up feeling uninspired just watch this vid - fabulous dynamic emotional playing Bea - bloody luv yo ( a Black Country endearment!)
dude your playing is so inspiring
keep it up!!!!
That's some top notch playing and some of the best tones I've ever heard coming out of a strat.. time to upgrade my affinity strat LOL
Hey Bea, I was just wondering how it feels to see people auditioning to ACM with your signature guitars, great demo btw.
Do you have a link to this? I'd like to check it out!
Really?! I didn’t know? Is there a video of this anywhere?
@@RabeaMassaad Nah I don't mate sorry, I just started studying there and a few of my mates auditioned with them
It's it time for a studio gear walk-through?
THE single best purchase I have ever made 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Bea, please tell me aboot the kracken, I know its based on a jcm900 but which model.I had a 5881 loaded 100w jcm900 4100 dual reverb paired with a 70s 30w g12h loaded 4x12. I Love the sound
Hey Rabea, what about a Monty’s signature pickup set? That strat sounds insane with that pedal.
I wouldn't necessarily say that it couldn't be used for progressive metal. Maybe not in a djent context, but definitely for a newer Opeth or a Russian Circles style of prog metal/post metal. Ace video of taking a pedal through its paces as always!
Is the OD section of this pedal a new OD or one of the already made like The Peacekeeper?
That sounded really good
It’s nice seeing one of my biggest inspirations hit the magical 200k
18:01: “It really does sound filthy in a very satisfying way.” I think we should print that on the box! 😂
How to demo a pedal properly. Great job Bea!
A good start and a great amp will make any Viking pedal sound good when it’s in your hands rabbi.
Would have been nice to see what it did on the dirtier channel/settings on the amp. If you could get a nice boost and keep that definition with the amp putting on the dirt that would be amazing !
Sick !!!
Sick t-shirt! Nice tones, too!
Some of the big bends you do with that sustain of the pedal reminds me of andy timmons!
What exactly is the guitar your using ? sounds great
Hey bro, great video!
You probably won't see this, but if you do, could you tell me (or someone else in the comments) wether you prefered The dane by thorpy or the Keeley D&M drive?
Im having a hard time deciding.
Cheers,
Aaaaand the next one on my gear list ;)
Rabea, please tell us what kind of pickups are you using in that strat
Very kind.
Great tones. The pedal is excellent, but that strat is a total killer. Does anyone know what it is and what pickups are in it?
Hey man thank you! The pickups are stock, the guitar is a CS 55 reissue so whatever they come with i guess
It’s a superb sounding strat. Really thick and bold sounding. The playing doesn’t hurt either - great demo. Thanks.
This signature Chapman guitar.... does not appear to have Chapman pickups in it?
I remember that leaked video of Bea and the Dane drinking and playing guitar...then coming up to the camera really close with a serious stare...hahaha that was brilliant man just saying sorry had to say
Awesome! 🤘🏼🎶
Where is rita relic btw? Haven't seen her in a while.
Rita was sold like 2 and a half years ago mate.
sad
Pretty sure the light was blue not purple lol
lmfao right? Probably the color correction?
Sorry, that was the colour profile I added in post. Didn’t realise it messed with the colour of the LED hahahha
Danish Pete was blue all along
Pete’s Tele is blue in real life. They make it purple in post. Shocker. 😱
I noticed in one shot you could actually see the anodized purple of the case. Lighting is hard. LEDs not too hot but still spendy.
How does it do in front of an 800 already set pretty dirty? Too much or can you use it like a screamer but with a different voice.
Does anyone know what song he is playing at 5:00, or what the chords are? Thanks
2:55 Does it djazz though? Sorry, that was just too tempting.
Someone show or send this to video to Mayer. I don't care why, either for the tone or the playing but the man needs to see it.
So good man!!
Haha cheers dude!
The lights are blue, not purple, but who cares :) It sounds amazing!
They’re actually purple, but the colour profile I added in post on this video changed it hahaha
Was this standard tuning?
Don't touch the Tone knob when the boost is engaged it's useless. It works with the overdrive side :o)
As much as I want the pedal, I want the freaking Tshirt man!!! What is it? Please!
What a screaming red hot player Bea is - go man!
This pedal reminds me of the dod looking glass for some reason, I know it is different but still.
Quiet, master is talking/playing!
I came for the pedal demo, I stayed for the guitar licks.
Before watching the vid I expect it to djent. Really gone note definition and that edge could sound really agressive in comb with distortion
What is that shirt?
I've never owned a Thorpy pedal. Probably between a Dane and a Peacekeeper to be the first.
2:53 All seeing Bea 😂
Does it come in a sheepskin Viking bag 😉
Tom Fairbairn Viking foreskin bag actually. You can get it in different colors. Well two different colors. 😂
cour1988 oooh that’s a big blooming .... haha
Tom Fairbairn Yes with a free poster of Largertha.
Dlon.. danish klon
12:03 cracked me up XD
This song going on Grinding Gears 2?
It's a 10 minute jam, it's on RUclips
Tag line: “one village pillaged per pedal”
Those faces!!!! pmsl :)
14:46
Well well well, good thing that my banker can't see my music gear wish list.
my strat doesnt sound like that through my rig :(
this is a pretty good demo for the kraken aswell
