The light brightness problem happens on most of their line up with LED lights, people always flash their brights at me in my Stinger, and when I flash mine back they switch up quick, I’ve heard about it on the new Sorento’s and so one. Beautiful SUV by the way.
You did a pretty good job. Nice review of the features you use daily and actually showed how your family fits in the car, which I think is the reason people buy 3 row SUVs.
Thanks! We really love it, I may do a second one with showing the kids getting in and out and a few more of the safety features like the lane assist and crash warning. They come in handy, but luckily I haven’t had many encounters with the collision warning.
@@mixyourvibe nice review! We just got our ex nightfall a few weeks ago. This year 22 doesn't have the auto high beam option. I catch people staring like I did at the ride. Don't you also love the curtains in the 2nd row?! I love them! I've never stepped in a all blacked out car that isn't as hot when you get in. I Live in Texas. It's super hot almost always! Thank you for the tips. They helped me get more familiar with our new family car.
Thank you for the great review. I have 5 kids and waiting to buy one. Cooler looking than a Minivan or bulky SUV. Not many choices for large families but the Telluride has a crossover look that I like.
Ordered our SX nightfall in wolf gray on June 11, 2022. We're hoping that it won't take the 8 months they said it was going to take to get here. Great review.
My LED lights are bright but not high enough to get flashed. Maybe because my car is lower to the ground (2019 Niro hybrid SX), but then again someone with a Stinger has the same problem as you. Love your Telluride. When my kids were smaller and we had a camper, I bought a new Kia Borrego EX V8 in 2010 and kept it for for 10 years.
Have there been any negatives with the upkeep of the vehicle or in general? I know it’s only 15k mile review but that would really be helpful to someone like me in the market for a vehicle.
I have had no abnormalities so far. You have it serviced at 7,500 miles and then 15,000 miles with synthetic oil, so the services are a little pricier than if you are used to regular oil. But, for me it balances it out instead of having the oil changed every 4-5,000 miles. You get a systems check on your app at the end of every month to let you know if anything is wrong, and so far I'm crystal clear.
@@mixyourvibe You're not the only one-- I heard it's actually a headlight adjustment error when the headlights were installed at the factory. For some reason the factory adjusted almost all of the Tellurides' headlights to be way too high, and there have been many complaints on online forums that people keep getting flashed at night. You can adjust them lower at home as there is usually an adjustment screw on the top or backside of the headlight housing, but you can also take it to the dealer and ask them to aim the headlights properly! :)
What Year and Trim Level is your Telluride please? So you do not get a lag in acceleration on the highway? What about a grinding noise when the transmission is shifting. What about external noise inside the car when on the highway. Owners complain consistently about hearing the wind like the windows are down when they are up??
Hi Gregg! So I have a 2021 EX premium with a nightfall package. I don’t get an acceleration lag on the highway, but if they are in ECO mode, it is a slower acceleration. Comfort feels smoother but not as “capped” as I call it. So when I know I’m going to be merging at high speeds or pulling out into high traffic area from a stop sign, i just flip it into sport. Sport mode gives you an immediate power boost but it isn’t as smooth of a transition as in comfort. As for external noise, I don’t notice anything more than usual, but if they are coming from a super high end luxury vehicle they may be spoiled. My last vehicle was a 2007 Highlander, which was a great suv, but this is a much quieter ride. I would maybe question if they are riding with the sun roof ) and moonroof for SX) shield pulled back, this could probably impact their noise levels a lot. But again, I’m an average person so, if they are used to luxury vehicles then it may feel noisy to them, but it is far from a tin can as my mother would say. I have never had a grinding noise in my transmission. I hope this helps!
Was debating going with the telluride sx prestige nightfall or Highlander hybrid platinum. I’m guessing you would pick the telluride over the Highlander?
Yes, so I love Toyotas and had a highlander before this, but even the new highlander has less space in the third row and my daughter is getting too big to be squeezing anywhere! I absolutely can’t say enough good things about the telluride, I wish I would have gotten the new logo though lol!
So glad! We are going on a few road trips this year with all the kids and one with just adults, so we will really get to test the comfort. My husband might get one too, even though we have always giggled at couples with matching cars, but it’s just that awesome!
@@RVLD6 which parts? I do have one part of my door that I think I must grab every time that is showing some rubbing, I’ll make sure to add it to my next video
I looked at the Palisade too, but it just had an Old Luxury look to me, I like the sportier look that the Telluride has. The palisade was also slightly more expensive at the time and I would compare warranties too before making the decision. Good luck!
Hmmm, I’ll consider that. But I’m also forgetful, so sometimes I forget my key with baby in hand, so it’s helpful to know that my keys are still inside the house before I put down my kids to rummage through my never ending purse 😂
It is bright, but not blinding, its just a different kind of bright, same as LED lights in your home. I also drive with people who have LED lights that are bright in the opposite direction, if you are looking at your side of the road and not directly into the lights, its fine. My old car had really dim lights, so I’m just happy for the upgrade!
I agree that older Kia’s are kinda trash, but anything after 2008 is a better bet, and the new rebranding is upping their game. Hyundais success in the early 2000’s pushed both brands up a notch and I think they have been getting better and better. We will see!
This may have been true 10 years ago, but in the last several years, I have not found that to be accurate. 2015/2016 Kias have taken a big step up. I didn't pick it, I picked the Atlas, but the Telluride is a very very good vehicle.
Wonderful review!!!! My dream car……can’t buy it yet. It’s only on my wish list.

the light brightness is fine people just aren't used to true LED
I get flshed a bunch with my sportage's led lights

You can have the headlight adjusted lower.
